Well, there's some usage of upper-casing where there should be none of that (note: Sorata's first line, for example).

Also, 'Nakano San, should be 'Nakano-san' and so on.

Listening to the Japanese voices, there's some under- and over-explaining.

There are some grammatical errors, such as -ed behind the words although it's wrong, and some overall slight mistakes like 'salvagable' > 'salvageable'.

There's some wrong usage of punctuation. I had the same problem a while ago and it's rather hard to get used to it. For example, there usually isn't a comma after 'and' except for some uncommon occasions. There's also a rule that helps non-natives: 'if you're uncertain if you should or shouldn't use a comma, don't'. It helps making unnecessary mistakes.

And for the last thing, usually in VNs only the characters' first name appears above the dialogue box, not the full name. I'd suggest changing this, unless it's there for some exact reason.

Ah.. The thumb rule.. Yea, I'm gonna fix that now.

As for the last thing you mentioned, the game originally displays the full name of each character.

"神田空太' -> Sorata Kanda (Swapped it to be first name then last name.)

Sorry, I just wanted to check back with this since i havent checked in over a year.  Was hoping for the best.  Why are people still talking in here anyway then

It gained quite a popularity among people who were interested for an EN patch.

So of course people would still be talking about it.. While some others hope to continue off the project even though it is dead.

It's a bit early because you have your hands full with sakurasou, but I hope one day you'll start working on haganai (I'll gladly join)

Ah yes Haganai.. The unfinished project Makato and his team used to work on..

I'll DM you at some point or merge in with the old thread that's floating off somewhere.

I guess I'll mention this (I think I already did but I will anyways), since some others might stumble across this post again in the future and ask about Haganai.

Based on the project Folder I received/shared from Makato, there's a total of 300+ script files all in '.txt' format. Each script files contain a hefty length of 150-200+ lines. The length of the project will definitely exceed 1 year, and 6 months minimum, with 1-3 active translators. It depends on our staff in the future too. Some may not wish to continue working with us, and resign. Others might join in, but then leave after a while.

Hope that helps clarify some points :)

Nope, not really interested with her. I got Yuus,Iowa,Akizuki,Teruzuki and Pola. Farming Hayasui atm.

Meanwhile I'm salty as a tasty fudge stick dropped in a pile of sand trying to clear E5. With the addition of trying to get good drops from E2 (Akizuki + Teruzuki) on Node F. All S ranks with no signs of either one.

    Pls drop to me ;-;

Why do you not reccomend using the same email? because I already done it before you posted your post lol

Oki I will add you to the top thread. Thanks.

Yeah I knew there will be disadvantages but as far as I am aware every ship will have it's disadavantages, I mean, for now I have been playing cruisers and they don't seem all that powerful the speed is okay through. I am not a fan of slow ships so that is out of the question.

PS: Forum having some bug now and I can't edit threads so I will put ur name in when it is fixed

Well, I wouldn't. That's just me personally haha

I get newsletters from Wargaming for WoT and WoWS. If I added in a SEA, I'd probably first think "wait, is this SEA or NA?"

In addition, I tend to use my other email address to reply with others who don't reside in the US. The other email is technically like a foreign language use account.

Cruisers just have that one huge disadvantage I hate about: Easy to be Citadel shot.

  7. How far is everyone in the Spring Event?

Managed to reach E5 somehow, but that's the only node I'm having difficulty so far.

Any good Suggested Compositions for E5 attacking the boss? (Also, my LBAS is set from suggestions I got, so nothing to worry there.)

I decided to play on the EU servers for now and looking at destroyers since a friend is helping me and telling me all about the ships.

Eh remember watching Haifuri with the motto of everyone on the sea is family, feels like this game is gonna twist that around lol

I wonder why EU gets the updates first but oh well I am from the EU so it won't really hurt me.

I wish we could change regions while keeping our account information etc. I might join NA too after getting used to EU.

oh also @FuryTomic do you mind if I put your name on the OP thread as a player on the NA server?

Sure, I don't mind. However, my username on NA server is actually different from the Fuwanovel Username.

    "FuryTomic41."

well, you would have to sign up with a new account (you can use your same Email, but I wouldn't recommend that) for a different region. Your Username can still be the same, as it is registered in another server that is different.

Also, Wargaming's Headquarters is stationed in Russia, so EU gets all of the goodies first before other regions.

Destroyers are fun to play in, (Usually rack up some kills) but the drawback is torpedo reload time, armor, and HP level. You are also pretty much a threat to Cruisers, so most of the time, cruisers will try to destroy you first.

  9. May 16 - 22 Weekly Update:

We have resumed Translations today, with our next goal milestone to be 50%! We do not have an estimated date on when the milestone will be achieved, but for all what we know, it will take a while.

We have encountered some typos and errors in some of our images. At the moment, those images are being fixed and edited. A "test" (or alpha) patch will be on hold for some time.

Thanks to a user (I'm not sure if she has an account here) Violet Valancia, she messaged me a guide on achieving Shiina's confession route. If you are interested to get Shiina's confession route, visit our website below, and click on, "Shiina's Confession Route."

    http://eternalnyaboronofficial.weebly.com/guides.html

    That's all for today.

  10. Played since CBT (Closed Beta Testing) Fairly fun in many aspects. (I don't regret going into CBT with Yuubari purchased haha)

You can register for any server/region to be quite honest. It just depends on your preference of choice.

I have both an NA account (Pretty much my main account since CBT) and my SEA account (Created this account recently to play with friends who reside in SEA regions)*

The difference I can see from these two is that the NA region tends to focus more on different events and rewards, while SEA has different events (mostly ARP Collab Events from what I remembered) and rewards.

Whie EU is mostly updated with events and premium content/ships first before the other servers.

It's up to you on what server you feel like playing on. :)

Good Luck and Fair Seas Captain!

*Please note that I have created 2 separate installation folders since there seems to be a conflict of trying to install one region client with another. I would suggest if you intend to play on more than 2 regions, create separate installation folders won't conflict with each other  (Example: NA: World Of Warships NA, SEA: World Of Warships SEA, EU: World of Warships EU) That's what I found best for me. However, If you don't feel like you want to install the game again 3 times just so you can play on different regions, try looking on the WoWS forums.

  11. It's been about 5 months since we were last doing translations.. Now we are back and ready to continue working!

This time however, with some new changes and plans in effect.

We have learned lesson with some foolish, unacceptable mistakes that were made. Now, we are going to work at our own pace to complete translations, and not aim for weekly deadlines. In addition, we will have a few additional staff members to both help monitor our work, and proof read translated scripts. More detailed information posted below:

    -[UPDATE 5-14-16]-

TRANSLATIONS: We are resuming translations again on May 16, 2016 (May 17 in other parts of the word). This time however, we will take our time to complete our translations so it won't end up like what happened earlier on, "sloppy translations." As a result, Translated video gameplay will be delayed. Hey, what's better? Quality over Quantity, (Quality Grade Translations > Amount of scripts completed)  or Quantity over Quality?  (Amount of scripts completed > Quality Grade Translations)

Quality over Quantity Quantity over Quality

WEBSITE: The Website has also changed. A few pages were removed. Our Staff and members page has been updated. We also gained a few staff members that will help us out. However, a few of our staff members have resigned from the group, as majority of the resigned members are busy with personal things irl. We are also grateful to have a user who will contribute us some guides of branched routes (such as Shiina, Akasaka, Misaki, Jin, etc).

PATCH: We have successfully made a "test" patch (this patch only includes the translated images). We might release it to the public for open thoughts. It's sort of like similar to a trial version to a game, but the images are in English.

    Spoiler

We have a few typos and weird placements occurring within the game running the patch. It is currently being fixed.

So yea, we are back from the dead (not really) and working again with a completely new mindset, fixing our mistakes, and making new changes and plans.

If you notice, or feel like we are reverting back to our old self at some point, please let me know too.

My god, that imgur album was complete nonsensical gibberish. No offense to Arcadeotic, but I don't understand how someone can look at that and only see a few minor grammatical errors.

If his Japanese is on the same level as his English, then you don't need just an editing pass, you would need a total retranslation from scratch. To be honest, I heavily suspect that this is just copy and pasted machine translation with maybe some light edits.

Indeed. That's what we are doing right now at the moment. A complete retranslation of ALL the scripts that were translated, with fluent Japanese speakers that offered to spend some time helping us.

Though I am surprised all of this feedback just started coming through to us yesterday. But hey, it's better for us to be well aware of this than having a complete gibberish patch that means nothing.

Thank you to all who pointed out the errors. I'm probably going to ask a mod to place this thread in the archive section for a while.

thing that keeps me wondering is, how someone who seems to speak english just fine wont notice this when working on said stuff, i mean its pretty much obvious to anyone that something went horribly wrong in terms of grammar/wording. dunno about other stuff which has been translated, since you having mentioned the team consisting of more than one active translator, but yeah, what i´ve seen so far posted on imgur made me cringe super hard inside, nothing an editor could be able to fix alone by himself.

We've had some former translators that were fluent, and they impressed all of our staff members.

I have no idea what happened, but they went rogue a few weeks later after joining. :/ I'm pretty sure you saw our announcement of postponing the project, so that all of us can back to edit, and retranslate all of the script files we have done so far, with the help of people that volunteered to spend some time to get everything back in order.

  14. I will hereby state that this project will be temporarily postponed for some time. I guess you can consider that we are going rogue, but we will be adjusting staff members right now. In the meantime, every single staff member and I will remove all of the scripts, and cross check with some fluent translators. It will take a while, but it's our only best bet for now. We apologize in advance if this will dissapoint anyone about our decision.

I am nowhere near native speaker, but it is pain to read even for me. Find a good editor, really...

    Alright.

It's not even something an editor could fix. Half of those lines make no sense to me in English, so there's no way you'd be able to correct them.

I see... Seems like we can chuck this project down the drain if that's all what we are doing wrong.
