Weeev got a reaction from AaronIsCrunchy in Purrfectly Ever After (Kickstarter)
Purrfectly Ever After is an original English language visual novel (OELVN) for girls. This dating sim is filled with side-splitting comedy, over-the-top drama, and of course, heart-melting romance. This first game from Weeev aims to bridge the gap between Japanese-centric otome games told in a not-so-Japanese point of view and storyline.   Purrfectly Ever After focuses on a food-loving burglar cat who gets herself into a series of unfortunate events which ended up feeling sorry for herself. Luckily for her, she also encounters kind strangers who rescue her along the way. She wished that she could become a human so that she could earn food honestly. Her wish is overheard by a fairy godfather she didn’t even know she had. And so begins her story.   Game features 5 characters to romance Multiple endings and high replay value Japanese voice acting Available in English and Japanese Episodic content Available for iOS and Android, Windows and Mac if Greenlit Details Price: USD3.99 for main stories, USD1.99 for epilogues Release date: Tentatively October 2015   Links Video: youtu.be/asFfGXGceAM Development blog: purrfectlyeverafter.tumblr.com/ Pledge @ Kickstarter: kck.st/1H5IYst Vote @ Steam Greenlight: bit.ly/1fY3VK3

Pastel Design + 48 Hours Wonder + Q&A for Weeev

    Pastel Design
We are sure you guys have been waiting for this. We wanted to show this to you for the longest time but save the best for last right? Here, we present Pastel's transformation CG. This CG is suppose to be the last scene in the prologue where she transformed into a human after her wish was granted. How do you like her design?

    48 Hours Wonder
With 48 hours left to go, we still have a couple of stretch goals to aim for. Anything we get above the final stretch goal will go towards further enhancing the game, paying Weeev's wages and also initial funding for our next project. Although it's still in the preliminary stage, we are cooking up something and will announce after the first route of Purrfectly Ever After is released. If you like our first game, we hope you will continue to support us to be a full time indie gaming company!

    Q&A for Weeev
We have been doing a few interviews which you can check out at these links. If you wish to know more about us, feel free to ask and we will address them in our next update.

Next, we have The Last Time. It's a narrative, choice base game with pixel art! Looks interesting eh? They are also currently running a Greenlight campaign, please support them.

    Happy Sunday peeps!
Let us begin with numbers. We are now 63% funded with over AUD$6k worth of pledges!! And we have exactly 2 more weeks to go! Although we have been getting pledges steadily, we are not sure if we could meet the goal at the end of it because pledges has not been coming in fast enough. Please take a look at this Kicktraq chart below:

Although it's trending to hit 101%, we had better percentages previously...

So we urge everyone, please help us to continue spreading the news to your fellow otome/visual novel gamers or anyone who is interested to see this game come to live! You can also help by voting for us on Steam Greenlight and also lend us your social media voice on Thunderclap. The Thunderclap system will not work if we do not hit 100 registered social media accounts. It doesn't matter if you are active or not, just register so that we can hit the target. For Steam, we are at 76% towards the Top 100 but let's try to boost it up faster!

Ok, now let's move on to the more exciting part of the update, an interview with Sirius! Let's see what he has to say...

Check out this link for the audio files.
Somehow I couldn’t upload multiple audio files here. If anyone knows how, please PM!

*Note: Some sentences are restructure in Japanese for a better flow.

    Interview with Sirius
Interviewer: What type of a doctor are you?
Sirius: The sort who heals people? Duh.
Interviewer: What do you like to do on your off days?
Sirius: Off days? What off days?
Interviewer: You mean you don’t get any days off?
Sirius: If there’s an emergency, it’s not unusual for me to get up at 3am after going to sleep. That’s the life of a doctor.
Interviewer: How would you describe yourself?
Sirius: An irresistibly handsome, sarcastic sociopath.
      Interview: That sounds complicated ...
    Sirius: Isn’t everything?
Interviewer: *shrug* Do you have a particular type of girl that you like?
Sirius: I like bony girls, with pale skin and deep set eyes, similar to her there, Ms. S. Just joking! Hahaha! Really. Although I look at my skeleton companion everyday doesn’t mean I have a crush on her. No, seriously.
Interviewer: O…K … Among the other guys, who do you get along with?
Sirius: Yoshino, we’re from the same neighborhood and I basically watched him grow up.
Interviewer: Talking about the bath house, rumour has it that there’s a girl that you like from there-
    Sirius: (uneasy) Skip please.
Interviewer: Would you consider yourself a compassionate person?
Sirius: That is a difficult question. Pass.
Interviewer: If you’re alone on a deserted island, what are the 3 things that you’d bring with you?
Sirius: My brains, a book and definitely not you. What is with these weird questions ...
Interviewer: T-Thank you for your time … And next week we’ll have Cassian with us, so until then!

Weeev reacted to Tay in PSA: Stalker Issues & Harassment Policies
Hey everybody,   Due to yet more complaints from our awesome devs, I decided to post to make the community aware that a former user is still stalking the forums and harassing users. He has gone by many aliases in the past: “OmniKnight”, “Façade”, “Ghost”, “Zodai_Strife”, “Lucia”, “Shirou”, and others. His skype username is “russelparadox” (atm appears as “Balthier”) / Okazaki Tomoya. We've been patient with this guy for a long time, and only started taking action after he started bugging devs and mentors. Today I tried talking to him directly to settle the issue, and he made it clear that he has no intention of stopping.   Omni tends to make accounts, spam PMs to members, staff, or people on the dev boards inviting them to have private Skype conversations (or join one of his Skype groups), and then tries to use them in all sorts of weird ways (ex: at one point he tried to amass a following to “overthrow” Fuwa so he could reestablish it “in the form” laid out by “the Constitution of the United States.” Like I said: odd duck). In the last few days he’s allegedly lost a major source of funding after misusing their money for his own benefit, so if he approaches you asking for money, or to join a team, or provide services, be extremely careful. It’s likely in your best interest to ignore and/or block him.   So. Reminder: If any user – no matter how new or old – contacts you and makes you feel uncomfortable, please contact a mod right away. We have a strict no-harassment policy here on Fuwa.    Thanks, Tay

Weeev reacted to Nosebleed in Sekai Project depends on crowdfunding entirely too much
Most if their Kickstarter projects weren't even initially made by them lol.

Sekai Project is primarly a service for other devs to get easier access to publishing and advertisement as well as help with public relationships.

A lot of Sekai's Projects used to be made by indie developers, they just slapped the Sekai Project logo on it later, but it's still not technically Sekai Project's product and a lot of the profit goes to the indie developer, not Sekai Project.

So really think of it as a bunch of different indie devs having their own separate kickstarter, because that's really what this is, they just slap the SP brand on it.

If they kept on using Kickstarter and failed like every single time, then yeah, they should stop.
But they are still doing good with it, and people are still throwing money at them, so what's the problem?
And actually, what's wrong with using Kickstarter? It's not like it's some kind of illegal backdoor fund-raising or something.

Weeev reacted to Raithfyre in The Human Reignition Project (Demo Released)
Our Kickstarter is now live! Please, check it out! The Kickstarter has ended, thanks for your support!

The Demo for our game is released! We hope you'll enjoy it~

Hi everyone! I'm one of the members of an English VN project that's been going on for a while, and with our demo coming out hoooopefully next week, I wanted to go ahead and post about it here! (You might also recognize me from the other project I work on, the yuri VN Starlight Vega).

My team is called AlienWorks, and our game is called The Human Reignition Project, and it's a bishoujo VN with some sci-fi elements. You play as a guy called Ken, who attends a lecture on "The impacts of technology on society," which is just what it sounds like. See, in our setting, communication between people is almost entirely digital. Text messages, instant messaging, or even phone calls; the element of face-to-face interaction is  mostly gone. A lot of jobs have vanished, too, being replaced by more efficient robots that don't need a salary.

Kojo, the guy organizing the lecture, comes from an older generation, and while he knows his little group isn't going to change the world, he'd at least like to try to change a couple lives.

So far it all sounds pretty slice-of-life, I know, but there are some action-y, thriller-y elements that come into play later on. Can't spoil those quite yet though.

What we wanted to do was create a bishoujo game with the romance focus that we all love without setting our game in a school. Yeah, there are a couple similar elements to, say, Grisaia or what have you, but for the most part we've tried to steer clear of a lot of the plot and character tropes native to the genre. That said, the game will still include 18+ content in the form of H-scenes.

Real quick, I just wanted to mention a couple quick notes about the game. First off, like I said, our demo for the game should be out soon. Like, very soon. It's probably 90% done right now. The demo is all of our Act 1, which is about 30 scenes and I think somewhere around 40,000 words? We're going to launch it at the same time as a Kickstarter for our game. I know, I know, another VN on Kickstarter. Because we work with such talented artists though, we need the funding (we're talking a few hundred dollars per CG). Of course, you'll be able to play the demo without pledging money to the KS.

Once the demo's done, we'll be putting in on Steam Greenlight. We're published and also somewhat funded by Sekai Project, so you'll see it under their name, not ours. Same for the Kickstarter. At the moment, I'm not entirely sure what the final price of the game will be, but I do know that if you pledge for a digital copy on KS, it'll be cheaper than buying the game off Steam. No other pre-order bonuses though; sorry CoD fans.

Finally, most of us are gonna be at Anime Expo. I'll be at Sekai Project's table in the vendor hall for a lot of the time, and I might be at their panel, too. We're going to be selling a few prints done by our artists, as well as one guest piece by Doomfest. Here are previews for a couple of those:

If you're interested in following along more with the game, you can follow me on twitter @Raithfyre or the team @AlienworksDev (though I also run that, heh). Also, our website is reignitionproject.com, and we post major news to blogs there.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy our game~ Just below, you can check out the character cards for our six heroines, and get an idea of what they're like. Yukino best girl, though.
