Does anyone know how to create these? As far as I know, these files are plaintext with a SHA-256 checksum, possibly hashed by the game's own encryption key. For reference it's for this game and I created a sample patch but the game tells me I need a .sig file for the patch.

Well, finished Noble Works two days ago. A lot better than Princess Evangile (f*** that was horrible). Did you ever install the supplementary fonts that Windows Update has. You need them otherwise things look funky (like you screencap). It's in Settings App -> System -> Apps & Features -> Manage Optional Features. You can add other languages and handwriting/speech stuff there (There's even Telugu!).

When using 1366 by 768, everything is huge. It's like I'm browsing on mobile, on my laptop. Switching the theme to the "crappy" default brings the UI back to a useable level (like before the upgrade). I can't even see the main post on a topic because the banners and announcements are so big. Look at this fancy link. It shows something odd.... I'm liking the load times and how "modern" it looks though.

Did you try installing "supplementary fonts". They're usually why games look weird (and/or stuff up) in Windows 10. Haven't tried Comyu on Windows 10 yet (but finished it on Windows 8.)

I'd recommend eden* PLUS+MOSAIC. It has nice art, not soppy romance and a plot line. Plus+Mosaic is required for the H-scenes. LINK to official English version.

My guess is that the images got corrupted somehow. It failed to load "images\cutin\cloudy sky_rain.b". Probably look for the images file (or folder) and replace the offending file. Ignore that, I didn't read the question. The patch replaces the original Koiken Otome files so you need a (non-patched) copy to replace the corrupted file. Therefore just do what Satsuki said and get a non-patched version from [somewhere].
