  1. As long as there's an adult version and as long as they don't remove any content, I'll buy it.
  2. He got Saya right after 30-something questions. Didn't get Rukina from Venus Blood Abyss, although she was in the database. And yeah, this thing has been around for a while, but it's still pretty amusing.
  3. Read ×× of the Dead. Great sequel to 触祭の都. Only thing I could complain about is the voice distortion for girls turned zombie being a bit too much. Wish they'd included a slider option for that, or at least a way to turn it on/off. Started reading 駄作, finished two of the routes so far. All I can say is holy shit. Purely in terms of imagery I've seen worse, but damn these characters are insane. Money quote: お目目レイプ希望.
  4. As you progress, you'll want to start using JP->JP dictionaries like http://weblio.jp and http://goo.ne.jp. You'll need them when you encounter words not included in any JP->EN dictionaries, anyway. As far as reading VNs goes, I'd recommend using a text hooker and pasting the text into your browser, then using Rikaichan to look up the words you don't know. In any case, avoid using machine translations. In terms of learning, the most important thing is grammar. Looking up words is usually easy, figuring out unfamiliar grammar often is not. And as has already been said, forget about learning readings without the accompanying meaning.
  5. This is something I've been hoping for for a long time. I used to be worried about the impact this might have on the viability of more hardcore eroge, but these days I tend to think the overall growth of the VN market via Steam will more than make up for that. Even if we won't see euphoria or Sweet Sweat on Steam anytime soon, I'm pretty sure those titles will see an increase in sales outside of Steam simply because more people will be playing VNs and some of them will look for VNs on platforms other than Steam. So this is great news.
  6. Erectlip They make some really funny games, I tend to like their artstyle, and of course they've made Little Bitch and Little Tenshi. ClockUp Not all of their games are nukige, but considering their quality, I can't not list them here. Gekidan Kinmirai Produce some pretty nice stuff. It's really kinda hard to select such a small number of specific companies as far as nukige go.

  8. If you want silliness, you could maybe try Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san, Paniponi Dash, Tsukuyomi Moonphase and Dai Mahou Touge. Other than Tsukuyomi, they're all entirely focused on comedy, though.
  9. I mainly read 18+ VNs, and if there's two versions, I'll always get the 18+ one. Part of the reason is of course that I like H scenes, but another big one is if you've already got sex in there, you can't market it to anyone <18 anymore, so there's one less reason to pull any punches in areas other than sex. I won't skip a VN just because it doesn't have any sex, though. I don't think there's any need to force sex into something like Higurashi, for instance. It just wouldn't fit the atmosphere.
  10. https://vndb.org/g214?fil=tagspoil-0.tag_inc-214;m=0;o=d;s=relThat's just the English market slowly becoming like the Japanese one.
  11. Dustmania Grotesque. There's some amount of gore in Fraternite, too. Gore Screaming Show may be more what you're looking for, though.
