Hey, so I've been around these parts for a month(-ish?) now and I figure I might try and make sense of the many hundreds of VNs discussed and thrown around these forums. So, I was wondering if some of you guys would be able to help me. I've read Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Saya no Uta, Fate Stay/Night, Y;N, Danganronpa and Everlasting Summer, and have was wondering where I should go next with horror/thriller/mystery titles. My only stipulation is that I'd rather there were either no H-Scenes or short ones, as drawn out moan-fests get pretty dull after not a colossal amount of time. I'd also like them to either have an English patch or not to be too difficult to read in Japanese - while I'm learning at the moment, I'd like to take less than a year to read it Thank you in advance!

While both are exceptional works of art in their own right, one can't help but feel that the makers slightly sold out whilst making Bathtime. Where Issho no Sleeping provided an unsettling yet fascinating insight into the vulnerability and decision-making of the eternally sleepy, Bathtime seems to trade some of the film noir tension that seeped so naturally from their first effort for a heightened undercurrent of unspoken sexuality. Whilst it would have been perhaps a stalling point for them had they simply made another Issho no Sleeping, the thought that Bathtime does not have such an in-depth psychological impact will surely mean that after the next 10 sequels come out it will be largely forgotten, in favour of their more subtle works. I look forward to hearing others' thoughts on the matter.

I suppose this only works with translations, but quite frequently you might actually get quite a nice description of the intimacy between the two (or more) people and then they throw in the word 'c**t' or 'twat'. So hilariously out of place.

True, I just don't listen to enough of it. Grant Green's 'Idle Moments' is just amazing, and I'm a fan of Django Reinhardt's work as well in the gypsy jazz field Next person wears glasses.

I think it would be better for all of us if that 'possibility' never came to fruition. Agahe's route in particular is horrific - there's grammar mistakes and spelling mistakes everywhere, and there are some parts which are so confusing you can read through them 100 times and still be thinking 'what' by the end.

Not sure how I felt about todays episode - it certainly wasn't bad, but there've definitely been better. The ending was hilarious though, and a not-as-great Non Non Biyori is still a solid 7-8/10 so I'm fairly content
