  1. The last one reminds me of something like Paramore, only in chiptune form. Fun times. But yeah, these are really neat! I'd have thought them more suited to RPG, but it'll be interesting to see how they slot in!
  2. Awesome, I'll be looking out for that then. Btw, I'm still down for proofreading this if you so wish
  3. This pleases me. Good to see you made the Kitsune/kitsune amendment too, that should help. Do you have an idea of what kinda time the first chapter will be coming out?
  4. No way. My native language being English, to lose that would be a shit to say the least. I enjoy learning language, and learning it comes with finding out all the quirks it may have. Part of this is an appreciation of the language itself, and part of this goes some way to helping myself learn other languages within that language group. If I accepted, I'd probably go for Finnish, Hungarian and Mongolian without really thinking, and then be thinking 'aaaaah shit' for the rest of my life.
  5. Happy birthday @KaoDoroSesu, hope you're having a good one! \ /
  6. Welcome aboard HMS Fuwanovel! 7 I was halfway through finding that list before Derg's comment but yeah, that's basically the holy grail of 'getting started'. Higurashi, eden*, Sekien no Inganock and Grisaia are all pretty damn neat.
  7. Welcome to the forums! \ / I recommend Higurashi if you've haven't already read it, as well as Dangan Ronpa. Two really damn neat mystery VNs. Also, cos I'm a cheap shit, Juniper's Knot, True Remembrance and Lucid9 (only the first bit has been released so far, but eh) are all excellent free VNs. Hope to see you about!
  8. Lancashire hotpot from... well, Lancashire. Just as a side note, I was really scared this thread was gonna be something totally different. There was always that risk that it was gonna be so incredibly lewd
  9. True; I was thinking a couple of days back that I don't do it as much as I used to, and I kinda miss it. Next person has a hatred of citrus fruits.
  10. Adorable Kurisu is adorable. 9/10. If you go for a new one it will inevitably be great, but I'm gonna miss little Kurisu
  11. Tbh, van Helsing has glasses and purple eyes so you basically went for the objectively best one first. Ah well. I'd choose Impey because I preconceive that he'd be the most annoying and therefore have the worst route, meaning you should get it out the way as soon as possible
  12. False. Never had it. Next person knows someone who could use some bish sparkles.
  13. Started watching 'Sakamoto desu ga?', and it's the biggest, most ridiculous pile of Marty Stu, bish-sparkled nonsense I think I've ever seen. So yeah, basically the greatest thing to grace my eyes tbh.
  14. Fuck the system! I'm the same when it's overcast but doing sod all. I tend to read when it's like that - it's something vaguely enriching but doesn't feel like I'm doing all that much. But yeah, I can sympathise.
  15. False. Italian cinema is kinda interesting. Next person is currently watching shit TV.
  16. Awesome! Is this purely an art-based update, or does it have changes to the previous one in terms of writing?
  17. True Next person has at least rudimentary skills in carpentry.
  18. Depends on the class tbh. Sometimes I am, sometimes I'm not. Next person likes mowing grass.
  19. I have not... Yet Next person can actually sing quite well.
  20. I'm sure it's been brought up before, but OELVN's that are based in Japan, even though the story would probably work as well (if not better, due to cultural shiznit) in the country of origin. I guess there's the whole argument that, by being set in Japan it appeals to a target audience more, but Christ. Either make it worthwhile being set there, or set it in the US, Norway, wherever. Hell, I'd love to read a VN set in Milton Keynes.
  21. False, I have no issues sleeping thankfully. Slightly too few issues sleeping Next person read that and thought 'I just can't, like what is this even' (or words to that effect).
  22. I think I vaguely agree with something that was mentioned earlier, saying that censorship is just part of the medium. To throw my own personal thoughts on the matter, due to what I'm used to, any time I'm reading/looking at a drawn h-scene that isn't censored is slightly jarring for me. Hypothetically, if censorship wasn't a thing in the medium and something was censored, it would likely have the same effect. Whatever her concerns may be, as far as I'm concerned she's the artist, and if she's uncomfortable with the decensoring for whatever reason, she has every right to pull it.
  23. Happy birthday @Forgetful Frank You're a good guy, and I hope next year is nice and productive for you!
