I mean, let's be realistic guys. The project is dead. Infernoplex effectively said so himself. It may be temporary, but for now it's definitely dead. The definition of "dead" has a threshold. I mean, if you're barely doing 1 line of TL a month or something, that's still dead. No project updates? Dead.
Let's stop bumping the thread now please. I'd rather get updates about the project, rather than people constantly asking for updates over and over again.

Ah, it's roughly translated guide from seiya-saiga. For it to make sense, you have to play it in "strange" order. (different than the flow of the text - save numbers give some hints).
The order for this walkthrough to work is:
    Ayame -> Chiho -> Yuuki -> Mahiru -> Rinka
(for example - going with this walkthrough, you create Save #6, which makes branch for Rinka's route, during Yuuki's "reverse confession" route)

Does your personal experience come from another creative field like localization? At the end of the day, it is a creative process and the way people grow in it is fundamentally different from the way people grow in less creative fields. Office workers tend to grow faster over time, while artists, writers, translators, etc, tend to become better. To a certain point, at least. There are apexes to be reached in any individual's growth.

Experience can absolutely make you better, though. Proof: me. It all depends on the attitude you approach your work/hobby with. In fact, many translators I've talked to have said that they've become slower with experience, not faster. Inexperienced translators tend to work quickly, going with very direct and literal translations, and basically just translating word-by-word without thinking deeply about it. More experienced translators will tend to read into nuance, will consider context more, and will spend more time finding ways to eloquently write what is being expressed. Obviously there are outliers. Some translators will never change their translation style with experience. But that's not everyone.
The same goes for editors. When I first started Dracu-Riot, I was really sloppy. I improved rapidly as I worked though and ended up having to redo a lot of my early work. I was brand new to editing back then which accounts for the rapid pace of improvement, but I don't think I'm going to stop improving ever.

I was originally super passionate about waiting to play this until the TL was done, but at the rate of 3 lines per day and seemingly very little community contribution to this project, I think I'm changing my mind. If it all comes down to H-scenes, I can get my faps elsewhere. IMHHW was an entirely different situation, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. Once I finish this title, I might run through it again later for the fan-TL'd parts, though. Definitely keep up the good work though!

I've already read the entire thing, it's way better than If My Heart Has Wings, nowhere near as bad (although I never read IMHHW without a restoration patch as in vanilla MoeNovel version), it is worth reading the way it is now.

I think I'd be willing to wait 2 years for this TL. Honestly, the thought of playing it without getting the full experience REALLY bothers me. I am definitely disappointed you aren't getting more translators to help, but it's a lot to translate thousands of lines without getting paid.
Looking forward to the final release! Hope more help comes along!

I don't think you do. It would make a difference specifically because the lack of sales comes from the localized game.
No one wants to just take money from Pulltop in general. People here are their fans, after all. This is a protest to show that we don't want censored games in the west.
If Pulltop compares their sales of If my heart had wings to Miagete, and sees that they are terrible in comparison, and at the same time they see us complain about the lack of H, it is easy for them to connect the dots.
Whether this will actually lead to them listening or not, we don't know, but it is the best bet we have. Sure, they make money from their JP titles, but that doesn't mean they are okay with making nothing from their western releases. Actually, Akabeisoft 2 broke because of similar issue during their Sharin no Kuni kickstarter. People weren't pledging because of the lack of H, so they added it in the end, and the game was funded. Of course, kickstarter and a game on steam are different things, but the idea is the same. Companies wants to sell games, so the best chance we have of being heard is by not buying the English version of Miagete specifically.

When a company starts to respond emotionally to feedback like that, run for the hills. A truly professional business (and part of being professional is caring about your target market) would heed any feedback and respond to it in a positive and constructive way. This company seems to admit no fault and instead accuses the customers of having incorrect opinions.
If they truly cared about making money, they'd establish a trust relationship with their customer base. This sets up for long-term success of their business because people will have more confidence in future work they do. Everything I'm reading so far screams short-term. They want money from this title now, without regards to quality. Decay found some pretty ridiculous programming bugs, as well as provided them clear examples of their bad translations on Twitter in response to the above letter. All of these problems are inexcusable and unacceptable.
First the translation for Libre of the Vampire Princess is crap, then MoeNovel butchers another VN I wanted to play, and now this. I hope I'm just getting unlucky regarding TLs of important items on my wishlist and we're not headed towards some sort of VN apocalypse...

If I understood his post, he's just trying to say that offering the all-ages and 18+ variations of a game is objectively a win-win. Trying to find a boundary between "what is and isn't expected to be censored" is highly subjective and you still end up with unhappy people no matter which position you choose on that matter.
I'm personally in agreement with the former (offer all variations; let customers decide). I'd rather have that than someone trying to over-analyze what is/isn't suitable for this market (not insinuating you in this case; IMHO the problem is more broad than the argument we're having in this thread).
Ultimately what MoeNovel is currently doing doesn't matter. I've had to say the same thing to folks getting upset over the EA loot box fiasco. If you don't like what a company is doing, don't buy their shit. It's the only way we're going to get them to change, no matter how many threads we start on Fuwanovel about it (although I will admit, I do like an outlet to complain, especially when I feel the situation won't change in the long term).

The problem is that this is still censorship when the full version isn't released.
All other localization companies offers the full version through a patch or on a different website. The only reason steam always has censored releases is because that's Steam's policy, and Steam is the biggest VN platform in the west.
But Moenovel doesn't offer the original in any way.
I am glad that they have at least (seemingly, we'll have to wait and see for sure,) stopped literally censoring anything from kissing to innuendos, but the problem still remains; they only localize eroge, then censor them and slap them on steam. Some people might be okay with having H-scenes removed, but that doesn't mean it's okay.
This is eroge we are talking about. If you don't want H-scenes in them, you're playing the wrong genre.

Please stop trying to make Moenovel look like the good guys here. They still censor their games, and they still ignore all fan feedback. If you're going to cover this game in the VNTS, please make a disclaimer saying it has been censored, and that supporitng them advocates that.
If people keep supporting Moenovel, they'll keep repeating the same shit over and over. The only way to make them stop is to cut off their money. Trying to tell them what the west wants hasn't worked. People have been doing that since If My Heart Had Wings launched. All they think about is money, and they get that when people keep on buying their censored crap.
The VN localization scene has come so far in the past couple of years. We're finally at a point where censorship doesn't happen that much anymore. Most new eroge localizations gets their respective 18+ versions, and all-ages versions for those who wants that. Everybody wins.
So when a company like Moenovel starts censoring stuff without offering the original anywhere, they are ruining the great thing the west has finally started building. Don't support companies like them; we deserve better.

I have continuously requested feedback from MoeNovel on twitter with regards to the adult (original) version of the game, yet they ignore those questions. The fact that they so blatantly ignore such a common (and thus important) question is basically the same as saying "No, you won't get it".
The IMHHW restoration patch turned out well, so I hope this one gets the same kind of TLC.
