Perfectly legit opinion, I get what you feel. To be honest, if Route B was a normal Charage, it would be a very good one.
But at least for me, it's just absolutely not what I wanted to read after Route A. I think B could be written much more interesting without skipping the (actually good) slice of life stuff. I think there was definitely room for improvement.
Oh, by the way. If anyone now thinks he will read B before A because he wants to start with the slow-paced slice of life story... don't. Really, don't. Route A will be a completely different experience depending on whether you already read Route B or not.
In my opinion, A is more interesting without B-knowlegde.

I'm still highly confident Root Double will make it, but I don't know if they'd make more money with or without the latest update... I feel like they'd make more without it /: I just don't want to see the $99/$140 backers downpledging to $40/$50.
Then again, I never understood why people would go for *just* the Vita and be willing to wait a year to play this VN, when they can read it in 2 months on PC.

Yes! This, a million times this! We're super close to Thunderclapping the KS! And who knows...with a day to go after a successful Thunderclap we may drive home some of those stretch goals. Stay optimistic.
Please share the link wherever you can! http://thndr.me/T7lwJD

Thanks yet again for all the awesome support and for the Thunderclap idea. Seeeeeee, we listen.

    A little less than $8000 to go~
Also, all you Root Double backers, don't forget to support the Thunderclap thing if you haven't already, so the KS gets sent to all the supporting people's friends and followers.

Oh, I found this in the Neogaf forum:

    "Hey all,

While ducking and avoiding your rocks, let me just first of say that I respect everyone's opinion on price and all that. I worked day and night for months to even get to this point, and we're not completely insane. At least I hope not.

I'm not here to convince anyone, but let me clarify something, regardless of what you think of it. We faced an obstacle here where people wanted Vita, and we wanted to do Vita. Our Vita development has gotten solid and progressing nicely with our devkits getting hot lately, so we were always eager. I began working on getting this done before the campaign even.

The issue is development and licensing. The whole dev team in Japan has to come back to refit the engine to work with the increased script size, voices need to be worked out, basically a bit ol licensing hootnanny. They were not easily convinced to go back to working on this engine just cause.

Regardless of what people think of the tiers and that stuff, that's something we have to meet in the middle on with the developers and such, and we try our best and there's tons of great content there. But with Vita, we are left with few options. RD is not some sort of huge anime franchise which soars past stretch goal after stretch goal. So either we have to guarantee the port at a loss to us, or not do it at all and be even more meany heads for not caring about Vita. So the only option is to include it with other rewards (the price of the Vita port is not 225 by itself) and let those rewards directly fund the development, or nothing. So the Vita tiers go straight to funding the development to make this port possible in the first place, not to jack up the price for Vita just cause.

Again, I am not asking people to like me by saying that, but its not just some sort of idiotic move made by me to screw myself over. I got everyone to agree to a term where we could offer Vita for sure without having to climb stretch goals, but rather that those who helps out the campaign and wants Vita gets it no matter what regardless.

Hope we are all still cool no matter how it all works out."

I'm sure this could all work out if SP were to just lower the Vita to $99...

Maybe the game being on steam now will cause another spike. They have been continuously pushing out different promotions since it started so hopefully they have  a few more tricks up their sleeve. Too early to give up!
I plan on upping my pledge when I get my paycheck. Can´t exactly push it up in the thousands on my own though
(Unless I win the lottery.  )

I hope the discussions aren't just for lower-level tiers though... cuz I don't think they'll help much at this point, especially given the lack of advertisement/marketing. What's more important imo, if we're unable to get much more major press, is to further improve the tiers between $150 and $275 and perhaps create a few (reasonable) higher tiers between $275 and $1000 to give people more incentive to raise their pledges. Because right now, there aren't many backers above the $99 tier, and a great portion of Kickstarter funding comes from the higher tiers. High-tier backers may be able and willing to pledge above $275 but not $1000, so something in between might help.
I think the $30-$99 tiers are fine because towards the end, if push comes to shove, I imagine many of the $30/$45 backers will move up to $60/$75 (the physical copy and the desire to see RD funded may be good enough incentives to push people), and the $60/$75 backers may move up to $75/$99.
But of course, I don't have much experience with Kickstarter or this kind of financial management in general so I could just be talking a lot of ignorant crap... if so, my apologies.

Okay guys, so I asked one of my Ever17 Gamefaqs acquaintances, Funchal99, to personally request Kotaro Uchikoshi, whom you hopefully all know as the writer of the Zero Escape games and co-writer for Ever17, to spread the word about this Kickstarter himself, and that worked out well he's made a post on his Facebook and Twitter, so it'd nice if you could like/share/retweet them.

This'll definitely get the Kickstarter more attention because if a guy like him is promoting something, it's definitely gonna get more attention.

It's no coincidence that the funding went up by 4,000 after he promoted it. All this project needs is more advertising because this visual novel is worth it.

Thank you for posting here.  I find it a little frustrating that nobody from SP seems to post on Fuwa very often, other than the few times @SP-AlpacaSan has materialized out of thin air.  I visit r/visualnovels regularly for news, but it's a little disheartening to feel like we're being ignored.  I appreciate the effort.

Wanted to pop in and give a big THANK YOU to those of you who have supported RD and helped to spread the word.
Kickstarter and other crowdfunding campaigns can be very tricky. Not only do they rely on the creator(s) to push and help spread the word, but backers as well. Backers are the lifeblood of these campaigns. We read and take into consideration everything that gets posted on the campaign page.
And yes, we could certainly use your help to further spread the word. Be it a tweet FB post, carrier pigeon, etc. Show and tell the outlets that you frequent regularly that it is something that you feel passionate about and that their readers will be interested in hearing about. It's a team effort.
We have members of the team who are primarily focused on Root Double while my primary focus is on our current releases (Strawberry Vinegar, No One But You, Rabi-Ribi) and upcoming releases for Q1 2016. That's not to say that we aren't pushing the campaign, we have distributed news about the campaign's launch (https://twitter.com/sekaiproject/status/684464856435527680), plugged it in a couple interviews, and have been fairly active on social media in regards to further promotion of the campaign. We have also generated some pretty cool new backer rewards, and have been steadily posting campaign updates. We want to see this one blast past its goal just as much as you do.
We are still a relatively small publishing/lic. outfit and not even one month in to 2016 we have three releases in January plus the Root Double KS campaign ...not to mention several other titles on the horizon. It's a lot titles to be working on simultaneously and by such a small, dedicated team. Sure, it's not an ideal timeframe to be working on so many projects at once, but sometimes you have to work with what you've got and you can't always ask the development studios to wait while we release "Game X" ahead of theirs. As you can imagine, that doesn't go over so well. ;P
So if there are outlets that you feel that we should be speaking with, or ones that you frequent on a regular basis, please, by all means let us know. I will happily reach out to them to gauge their interest.
Overall, we love hearing from you and just redesigned our own forums too (http://forums.sekaiproject.com/). Not only do I welcome you to speak with us or ask me questions here or on our forums, but you can also reach out to me directly on Twitter. I love speaking with my fellow peers about games and other related topics.
It's all for THE GREATER GOOD!
Now back to pitching and sending out some more review keys.
    Yours truly,
    Chopped Liver ;3
