It's SakuraGame's fault for not giving even the smallest shit about the quality of their products.  They're machine-TL'ing scripts, and literally nobody is holding a gun to their head and forcing them to do so.  The devs that work with SG and the customers that buy their games are partially at fault for enabling them, but the blame for the garbage SG craps out lies solely with the people producing it.

I kinda like the hard stuff, not gonna lie.  I'll take shots of straight whiskey if I'm not feeling in a beer mood, and I've learned to like the less shitty brands of vodka.  I do like beer too, though, but I mostly stick with IPAs, since ales are a bit too weak for my taste.
I'm finishing up chapter 4 right now.  I tend to get easily distracted when I read VNs, so I'm not that fast at reading them anymore.

Not drinking anything at the moment, but I had multiple shots of vodka, an 805 and a spiked seltzer last night.  Parties are fun

I think the worst argument I've been in was one that resulted in threats of physical harm.  I said that I liked strong women, and the other guy just hated my opinion  lol

Ixrec/Amaterasu TL: weird "Japanese-y" sentences, reportedly butchers the prose and themes of the original VN, literal to the point of being borderline nonsensical at times
GHS TL: so verbose even Polonius would tell him to shut the fuck up, 2deep4me, heavily modified to support GHS' weird view of the world
Moenovel TL: literal shit.  I wouldn't read this if it were the literary version of water and my eyes were on fire.

This topic is so depressing, lol.

I initially avoided them because I was afraid of Disney Disney-ifying them, and removing swearing, violence and sex jokes.  Infinity War put those worries to rest (Quill actually says that Thanos has a nutsack for a chin lol), so I decided to go back and watch the rest of 'em.
I liked them quite a bit, as a whole.  TDW and AoU were meh and meh-er, but stuff like The Winter Soldier, Thor: Ragnarok and Infinity War made up pretty easily for them.  It helps if you just shut your brain off and just enjoy the spectacle.

I just got a refund for my copy. To me personally, this is a matter of principle. I have had bad experiences with Sekai Project in the past, but chose to buy this game either way, with the thought: "hopefully this one will be handled well, at least," much like Dovac himself. (See this)
It sadly wasn't. People make mistakes, yes, and if this had been their first big mistake, I would have given them a chance to make up for it, but ... well, there is a reason why the document above has five different apologies, not just one.
In addition, while I understand that to some people, a handful of censored CGs isn't that big of a deal, it is to me, and many others. I specifically paid for an adult version of the game, and the assets in the story itself are still all-ages. Not to mention, noticing this mistake is very easy. It took me a couple of minutes to notice it, and I wasn't actually looking for any issues when I did, I just stumbled across it. So, not only is this a mistake that should not happen, but it is a pretty big deal, all in all, despite "only being a handful of CGs." The game is literally not what I paid for.
The TL being kind of awkward just puts the final nail in the coffin for me, and I chose to ask for a refund. That being said, people throwing around death threats and going on crazy witch hunts are being completely silly. (And it in fact just drowns out the actual proper complaints people have, so please, stop that stuff...)
Fakku is being very helpful and understanding, which is good. People who are dissapointed can get refunds. Dovac's apology post is also a step in the right direction. I do hope that SP will improve moving forward, but I will personally not buy any more of their games until I see this happen. I gave them one more chance with Maitetsu, and it sadly did not go very well.
Hopefully the issue gets fixed soon, for the people who chose not to get a refund, and patiently wait for the fix to be implemented.

It's hard to edit your own work, as it's very easy to miss mistakes you made. Self editing can at best help kill some typos, but that's no better than simple proofreading, which is not at all what editing is about. 
For a VN this big, I strongly recommend you try to figure out a way to get an editor onboard. Self editing simply won't be enough. 

If anyone has any personal arguments that they'd like to hash through, this is not the thread for it.  In fact, this is not even the board, nor the forum, for it.  If you have a beef with someone, take it to PM's, don't air your dirty laundry in public.
This board has a specific purpose, and it's for TL project threads and updates.  Anything that's not related to that in any way will be removed, as it does not, and never will, belong here.

If Valve goes back and retroactively "re-rates" games, a lot of VNs could potentially be on the chopping block.  This sucks quite a bit for companies that haven't fully invested in their own distribution platform.  Guess it's just another lesson about relying on Steam to distribute VNs.

From Japanese art forms it usually means "We don't understand English well enough to know this title is gibberish."

This is actually really valuable feedback.  It's the sort of "silent majority" opinion that could very easily fly under the radar yet be very important.  Privacy concerns are a major pitfall of trying to sell eroge on Steam.  Not everyone wants to broadcast their interest in this genre to the world.  That's yet another reason to make this game available on at least one other platform, bringing the tally to at least 3 (no-fuss adult version that doesn't require a patch / isn't pretending to be something it isn't, could enable a release without mosaics, respect for privacy concerns).
