  1. Here's a post by Doddler, a tech guy that works on a bunch of official VN releases, in this reddit thread:
  2. Nope, not a loli. Feel free to post to your heart's content. Eh, Hibiki's not a loli, at least in my opinion, but I dunno if she'd be okay to post. Definitely shouldn't post any h-scenes of the other four girls, though, for sure.
  3. That's a no, dawg. No sexualized loli stuff allowed in any form. You can link to h-scenes of the non-loli characters, though.
  4. Ixrec/Amaterasu TL: weird "Japanese-y" sentences, reportedly butchers the prose and themes of the original VN, literal to the point of being borderline nonsensical at times GHS TL: so verbose even Polonius would tell him to shut the fuck up, 2deep4me, heavily modified to support GHS' weird view of the world Moenovel TL: literal shit. I wouldn't read this if it were the literary version of water and my eyes were on fire. If I had to pick one, I'd pick ixrec's TL every single time.
  5. I second Rance 6 and Evenicle. They're both great. Utawarerumono is more of a tactical RPG than a straight RPG, but it's a great game, and the story is pretty damn good as well. If you ever played any of the Final Fantasy Tactics games, it'll be right up your alley.
  6. I initially avoided them because I was afraid of Disney Disney-ifying them, and removing swearing, violence and sex jokes. Infinity War put those worries to rest (Quill actually says that Thanos has a nutsack for a chin lol), so I decided to go back and watch the rest of 'em. I liked them quite a bit, as a whole. TDW and AoU were meh and meh-er, but stuff like The Winter Soldier, Thor: Ragnarok and Infinity War made up pretty easily for them. It helps if you just shut your brain off and just enjoy the spectacle.
  7. Watched virtually every Marvel movie, aside from The Incredible Hulk, because I don't give a shit about that one lol I originally watched Iron Man 1 when it first came out in theaters, and my next one was Infinity War. I went back and watched all the others after IW.
  8. If anyone has any personal arguments that they'd like to hash through, this is not the thread for it. In fact, this is not even the board, nor the forum, for it. If you have a beef with someone, take it to PM's, don't air your dirty laundry in public. This board has a specific purpose, and it's for TL project threads and updates. Anything that's not related to that in any way will be removed, as it does not, and never will, belong here.
  9. inb4 Frontwing just leaves the western market entirely instead of developing an 18+ distribution platform If Valve goes back and retroactively "re-rates" games, a lot of VNs could potentially be on the chopping block. This sucks quite a bit for companies that haven't fully invested in their own distribution platform. Guess it's just another lesson about relying on Steam to distribute VNs.
  10. Picked up Bram Stoker's Dracula after reading an excerpt of it in my English class and loving it. I like Stoker's prose quite a bit, and I've always been interested in classic vampire literature, so being made to read that excerpt was quite a happy coincidence.
  11. I doubt I'm in the majority here, but I will literally never touch this game as long as it's only available on Steam. I have people I know in real life on my friends list, and there's no way I'll publically buy a tentacle rape game, censored or not, on a platform where they can see that I own it. I'm also not going to make another Steam account because, quite frankly, I don't want to, and I shouldn't have to.
  12. Just letting you know, it's against Fuwanovel's rules to ask for or provide links to or sources for pirated content. You worded your post rather ambiguously, and I'd appreciate it if you edited it to rule out pirated or illegal sources. As far as I can tell, no physical or digital OST exists. You might have to dump the game files for the sound files the game uses.
  13. Okay, this is getting too personal and off-topic to belong in this thread. Please take this to PMs if you guys want to hash this out.
  14. Can you guys take your debate on the gayness of traps somewhere else? It's getting a bit excessive >.< I think the worst argument I've been in was one that resulted in threats of physical harm. I said that I liked strong women, and the other guy just hated my opinion lol
  15. This is a pretty good suggestion, @tymmur. The gif bats posted was pretty gentle compared to similar vibrating gifs, like the one kiri posted. I don't know that many people that have similar problems with those types of gifs. It might be a good idea to get that problem checked out.
  16. They don't have any in-house translators, they contract out to third party translation companies. The quality varies so wildly because it depends on who is working at the company they contract out to at the moment. MoeNovel has very few permanent staff members, from what I've heard; "skeleton crew" might be an apt description, if what I heard is correct.
  17. I actually muted the game and just listened to music while I ran around killing shit. I had no idea what was going on at all, but I don't think it really mattered all that much xD
  18. I'm assuming that you're just shitposting, but I actually went and counted each unreleased title Sekai (I'm including Denpasoft and non-JP titles that aren't in English, because they're most likely translating them) and MangaGamer have. Sekai: 30 titles (not including the secret announcements they added to their tracker) MangaGamer: 22 titles (I'm not including DLC, and I'm not including the titles they hinted at but didn't announce yet) I'm not too sure if this list is comprehensive, and I'm too lazy to double-check : P
  19. Just to clarify, I didn't actually write the article, I just stumbled upon it and shared the link. I doubt you meant that the article was mine, but I just thought I'd make sure. I'm pretty much done with Sekai at this point. All of their early controversies and bad PR (hi, dovac) really made me distrust them as a company for years. After seeing improvements in regards to 18+ releases and transparency, I decided that I should toss some money their way to reward their progress. Buying Meikyuu didn't come back to bite me, but backing Hoshimemo sure as hell did. If they couldn't even give Hoshimemo, a relatively high-profile title with an established audience, a decent release, it's indicative of some pretty serious problems somewhere down the line. I wouldn't recommend buying anything they touch that doesn't have a well-known name (like Conjueror or koestl) attached, and even that's not a guarantee, since they've shown that their editing and QC process can range from good to completely horrid. At the very least, don't back any Kickstarters that have Sekai's name on them, since it's almost a guarantee that they'll have issues and a horribly delayed delivery window for rewards. Grisaia physicals when Muramasa TL hits, boys. Might as well bring the Root Double Vita debacle back up, while we're at it. I still can barely believe that even happened. The incompetence that was required to arrive at that situation is just absurd.
  20. You almost never hear it worded that way, though. The first person usually asks, "Do you care if I do x?", and the second person responds with yes or no, usually with something like "go ahead" or "feel free" attached. You don't respond with, "No, I don't care if you do x," which is indeed rather abrasive. Here in Freedom Land (or at least my part of California), we basically use those two phrases interchangeably. I wouldn't say it's weird to hear either one.
  21. I thought Degica's MuvLuv team pretty much abandoned Degica entirely when they split from Ixtl, and that they all joined Ixtl as their in-house team. Don't have a source for that, but there's this tweet.
  22. My Dies irae Kickstarter stuff just got here. Sorry about the glare Physical copy OST Straps LDO pins Mini artbook Visual fan book T-shirt Tapestry
  23. Unless you know JP, you literally have no way of determining that. The only way you can tell if a translated script is "faithful" to the original is by comparing the same lines from both releases, and even then you can argue about the minutia of the translated sentences, like tone, connotation, appropriate word choices, the overall quality of the prose, etc. I sincerely doubt that anyone that's either praising or bashing the script has done enough research to actually be able to back up their claims with evidence.
