Only worth for the fanservice scenes. Gameplay is horrible. Combat consists of smashing your burst button, using Sword skills until SP depleted, using skills to regain SP, repeat. Areas are empty, lifeless, dull, Quest are hollow (lol). Story is.. what story? I like SAO, but I can´t gather the endurance to finish that game.

Indeed! While I was still sceptical after the first episode, the second one totally got me into that Anime. That opening is also really cool. And from that opening I think it´s sure to asume that we will see Mikaera again. Bloody fights against monsters in an postapocalyptic setting (like in AoT)? Yay

First character in original dark souls 2 was a classic 1h sword´n board heavy armor type. Played with that through the first Newgame. For scholar of sin I decided to go for light armor and spear / halberd with a light shield, since armor doesn´t mean much anyway. Halfway through first Playthrough currently. Maybe I´ll try 2h no armor someday. Though this game is sadistic enough already . . I barely looked into mage-stuff so far, so that´s also up for later. Your favorites?

Dark Souls 2, Scholar of Sin edition This game makes me want to throw my controller against the wall, yet it is so insanely addicting. There are some stupid ambushs every now and then and most enemies become totally easy once you are familiar with the movesets, but that adventure-feeling where death may linger behind every corner is too good. It also looks epic!

Denpa Kyoushi seems like a modern Onizuka. Senseis abilities seemed a bit overpowered and fighting bullying with bullying doesn´t look right, but overall the first episode was entertaining enough. I also need to watch it because of his voice actor. Plastic Memories has to give us some explaining. Cheap "They have to die because we need a tearchoker for our show" is not enough, I want to see a good reason for that limited timespan. There´s also the question why the consent they try to get within the last few days wasn´t simply included in the original purchase-contract. That clumsy heroine though totally makes me want to see more. Nagato Yuki. Well, it´s another universe than the original Haruhi, so don´t expect a continuation of it. It´s Yukis own cute slice of life romcom and I like it !

Shana, Luise, Nagi, Taiga and.. Alphonse? She also had some interesting roles, though I´m not all too fond of her. But that´s more precisely because I find that tsundere-archetype to be too annoying.

After watching somewhat around 130 Animes I recognize quite a lot voice actors when watching Anime. What a fun to realize that Hiroshi Kamiya is Izaya from Durarara, Araragi from Monogatari series, Shinji from Fate, Levi from AoT and now Junichirou from Denpa Kyoushi. Or Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Kirito from SAO, Sora from No Game no life, Lubbock from Akame ga kill, Arata from Trinity Seven and Tomoya from Saekano. Or Yuichi Nakamura as Tomoya from Clannad, Greed from FMA and Kadota from Durarara. Or Hikaru Midorikawa as Kyousuke from Little Busters, Yoshino from Clannad and Lancer from Fate. It´s amusing to imagine a voice actors other characters switching place with each other. Sometimes I look up voice actors even before starting an Anime. Do you care about voice actors?

99% of courses are made by other users. There is no official Memrise learning schedule. Just take whatever course you like.. or make your own and adjust it to your needs. For example I´m reading VNs in Japanese and copy unknown words into my own course. Works fantastic!

People tend to lose an increadible amount of time simply by using unefficient tools and learning methods. Here´s the cure: Memrise.com The probably best tool to learn vocabs. It´s basically a spaced repetition system with some gamification. I always heard about Anki and tried it, but found it to be awful. Absolutely terrible, to be honest. Memrise on the other hand works fine. I´ve learned over 8.000 vocabs (and 2.600 general Kanji meanings) within 1,5 years. You can follow me there as Cynic. I´ve seen characters in Anime playing and talking about them. To be honest, the first thing I had in mind when starting VNs were the H-scenes. But after a few of them, they become less important and simply finding a lovable character is more fun.

Some key artworks are really a turnoff. I love clannad and little busters, so I thought I gotta check out the other novels. Clannad already had some flaws, little busters was tolerable. Then I saw the characters from Kanon and Air and I instantly canceled that thought. Very regrettable, because I like keys stories keenly. I´m still not sure how to tackle that issue.

Currently playing Dracu Riot. Man, that game makes my head go explode regularly. Totally becoming an Erina fanboy. That perverted little russian girl.. for sure the first route I´ll take. Also, that Mera-BGM. Combined with her personality, pure enjoyment. Makes me giggle aloud nonstop.

Currently playing Rebirth 1 on Vita. Also switched to japanese audio instantly. But that´s because I get ear-cancer from english dubbed stuff in general. I haven´t played many newer handheld console games, so I can´t compare it well enough to other stuff, but my guts tell me: Combat system: Mostly nice. You can craft diverse things, choose from several skills and characters, you have to keep positioning and turns in mind, which gives it some strategic depth. But there are also some downturns: Special skills are way to strong, so you just try to get as much of them through as possible. There also are some stupid difficulty spikes. Story/Characters: Stupid, but lovable. A lot of gags and nerd-stuff. You shouldn´t be too serious when engaging this game. Still, I don´t regret getting it.
