Alright so I just got through what I assume is the common route (to the point where an opening played) and I've got a few thoughts so far I need to get out. Spoilers for common route ahead.
Anyway more of a rant than anything but I felt like putting my thoughts into writing for some reason. I'll continue reading because I do like it and want to see more but I lost quite a bit of steam in reading it today. Feel free to let me know your thoughts as well.

Today we are proud to announce that in an effort to get fuwanovel's userbase accustomed to japanese text, we have decided to make it so that all topics are read and written sideways. We expect this change to have a great effect, and in about two weeks we plan on permanently changing the site to only allow for japanese posts
    Cheers
    The fuwanovel Staff Team.,

Glad to hear you found another translator. I've been wanting to read this VN for awhile so the better chance of release is great news! Good luck!

I just want to say that you asked a question, innocently and politely. You admit it yourself that it may be a stupid or dumb question. Heck no matter the age, people can get paranoid about certain things and they'll just like some opinions on the matter to clear their mind.
It's not right that what you get in return are people being rude and insulting to you. Its awful. It happens here, I noticed. Once one person insults you, a bunch of others pile on after. It doesn't stop with that one statement. People are so quick judge.
Its ironic that the people that are judged so much by society [otaku] end up judging each other just as much.

PS: I don't think you have to tell anyone the games you play on your time, just play what you want in your own space. You're an adult and you're purchasing adult games, its not a problem. If someone you know catches you with it then just own up to it or play it off. People aren't going to ask you to elaborate on it right?, just say adult game and that will suffice i think.  Cheers

Isn't that basically humanity at the moment though? Or at least western culture since I can't comment on things that happen in other languages and cultures.
Also as for the topic, while it sucks that this guy spent a bunch of time translating the game and hes not getting anything out of it, I don't see anything that SP did necessarily. Maybe they could have given him a heads up before hand to tell him they were licensing the game and weren't interested in hiring him for the translation or couldn't due to something Giga wanted or whatever the case is, but maybe they didn't know until recently? I mean I just don't see a way this is all SP's fault.

Well, you could probably play Majikoi S, if you ended up enjoying the first game.
And also Osananajimi wa Daitouryou would probably fit in even though it was a 2009 release.

I want to recommended Yoake, but since it was not the VN from 2010's (2006 release), so I wouldn't recommended it here.
Okay, back to topic here. As for your answer here, I think Koichoco should be fulfilled your request here. Oh, and Koi Resort and Konosora here. If you didn't mind 2009 release, then Hoshimemo. Hope my recommendation here help.

Also your english is fine, if you hadn't mentioned it wasn't your primary language I wouldn't have known.  Most native english speakers have trouble with grammar anyway!

Hello! Welcome to the community! Good to see more people get interested in visual novels and people interested in making visual novels. I agree that adding interactivity to a story increases its impact. Feeling that you had something to do with how the story plays out increases how much I care about characters and the outcome of the story.
Anyway hope to see you around!

If you don't want gameplay there's the Fault games and world end economica that don't have any 18+ content.
Clannad too but that might be a bit much for a trip.

It's the original 18+ version without the extra missions later added in the non-adult version.  And yes, the game is pretty much self-contained.

Although this should be common recommendation from Fuwanovel, I would like to recommend Tokyo Babel here if you like action. Also Kikokugai here for another recommendation (If you like it voiced, play remake version instead of original version). Hope it'll help.

shadowolf64 got a reaction from solidbatman in How hard is it to buy downloadable VNs from Japanese sites?
With the release of Koiken Otome I have been looking at the link under the Fuwa blog for buying it. Up until now I have been sticking to VNs released officially in English or resorting to other means to acquire them but I would like to support the developers so I'm looking at buying them from Japan. indo not want to deal with importing and having a bunch of physical copies. So I only really want to get download versions.
My question is how easy is this? Does it depend on the game? The site for Koiken Otome seemed to be Western friendly and mostly in English so that was a good sign but I wasn't sure how the conversion of yen to dollars would work. Do most banks do this automatically or would I have to get a prepaid card with yen or something like that?
Any advice or experiences you have had buying digital from Japan would be appreciated.

Only thing I see about the dub is this: http://attackofthefanboy.com/news/dragon-ball-super-english-dub-toonami-expected-july-august/ which talks about Toonami asia so I'm not really sure what is going on here. Sounds like Funimation isn't involved from that article which I assume would mean different voice actors.
I am also waiting for the dub since I watched the dub as a child so hearing the Japanese Goku voice is too much for me to handle.

I like Patrick Klepek (That may be because I love where he used to work, Giant Bomb). I don't always agree with him but he can write some good stuff. I think this is a good article which highlights both sides of the censorship argument. Even though it sucks when things are censored, a lot of the time I can see why they would make those decisions. Even if I think they are wrong at least I can see where they might be coming from, but if no one states there reasons it just seems shitty.

Yeah I probably did answer too many Don't Knows and Probablys. With Momoyo in particular I feel kinda weird answering some questions like "can your character use magic?" or "can your character fly?". Well its not called magic but in reality you can't shoot beams out of your hand and hover in mid air for your fights so... Guess I should have just picked an answer though.

    Damn, that thread necro.
But for the actual topic. I find it depends on the novel. I typically do not like it since it means I skip through a lot on my next reading but it can also be enjoyable.
The thing I really don't like is when the common route and heroine routes aren't divided into separate sections so you have to go through the common route every time you read a new route just with some new scenes switched for others. I understand why it is done because it does make more sense to a degree, but it makes me want to read one route and then be done.
