    Tantei Opera Milky Holmes 2 Translation (PSP)

    Hi there!

    My name's Adam and I'm a big Milky Holmes fan, as it combines japanese media (VN, anime, etc.) and detectives (the Sherlock Holmes novels were basically my childhood :D ).

     

    After finishing TOMH1 for the PSP I have been looking for a translation patch for the second installment.

    As you probably noticed by me posting a new topic, there is none yet.

    Therefore, I'd like to propose to create a patch for Tantei Opera Milky Holmes 2!

     

    As I'm neither knowledgeable in japanese, hacking or anything else besides the English language, I'm only limited to editing and quality control (I know, sorry for being a worthless good-for-nothing :P ).

    In any event, I'm currently looking for people who might be crazy enough to help me with this project.

     

    Following positions are free:

     

    - Hacking

    - Translating

    - Translation Checking

    - Editing

    - Image/Video Editing

    - Quality Control

    - Patching

     

    And last but not least, I'm very sorry for:

     

    - Taking your precious time

    - Creating a huge wall of text

    - Making such a selfish request for help

    1914: The Great War [End]

    Let's see some roleplaying from my side, once in a while.

     

    Berlin, August 1914

     

    Soldier: The Austrio-Hungarian Empire agreed upon our conditions, Herr General.

     

    General Paragon: I see. Inform his Majesty about this.

     

    Soldier: Yes, as you wish, Herr General.

     

    One hour later.

     

    Soldier: Dear Kaiser, the General has sent me to inform you, that Austria-Hungary has agreed upon our conditions.

     

    The Kaiser: It seems we have a good day. Friedrich!

     

    Friedrich: Yes, my Lord?

     

    The Kaiser: I have to make an announcement to my people. Prepare everything. Radio, newspapers et cetera. Everybody in the Reich shall know.

     

    Friedrich: Your wish is my command.

     

    Later that day.

     

    The Kaiser: ...and by that the German Reich and the Austrio-Hungarian Empire are now one. As of now, we shall be called the Greater German Empire.

     

    The people applause in enthusiasm and sing "Heil dir im Siegeskranz". Reporters have written articles about this glorious event.

     

    The Kaiser: General Paragon, thank you for your help in this matter.

     

    General Paragon: No problem, at all. It was my pleasure, Kaiser.

     

    Hereby I, General Paragon announce, that the German Reich and the Austro-Hungarian Empire now formed the Greater German Empire.

    For me it'll be "Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo".

     

    Not only is it set in a small village in a  present-day dystopian society, it also shows the importance of "freedom" and "individuality", things we mostly take granted, that are not in totalitarian countries.

     

    Geh, enough of this crap.

     

    What I try to say is, that it combines political/social topics like "freedom", "individuality", "society" with personal e.g. "love", "friends", family", "career", "duty", "future" etc.

    It tries to make the reader question the world he/she currently lives in.

    Sometimes I believe it is more philosophical than it should be, in a good way of course.

    But it is not an all-gloomy story at all, because, as almost all VNs, it features comedy during the routes.

     

    The main character is easy to relate to and most importantly not dumb.

     

    There are 3 main heroines, which are all stereotypical VN-girls:

     

    First is shy, long-haired, coodere, a slight airhead and basically the quiet type. (Normal chest)

    Second has a ponytaily, is deredere and the energetic-but-lazy-when-it-comes-to-work type. (Big chest)

    Third is short-haired, good-willed, tsundere with a big mouth. (Yes, she IS flat-chested)

     

    There also is a fourth, secret heroine, which I won't talk about as of now, don't want to spoil the fun.

     

    Also, there are five endings, each of these has some kind of epilogue, which tells you what happened to the main character and your heroine a few years after the main story ends.

    H-Scenes are fairly normal. Nothing worth discussing. No rape, NTR or anything like that.

     

    In the end "Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo" is a very beautiful VN, which tells us a dramatic story set in a society where people are oppressed by the government every day.

    I didn't mean that "problem" as a real threat to this project. I just wanted to point out that they may get worked up by this and force a C&D on us.

    Anyway, I'd like to do the editing and QC-related stuff, since I have pretty much to do with the "ToradoraPSP", the "Loverable" and "OreImoPSP" projects already, but I still have time for one or two and I really want this done, no matter what.

    If you'd like than send me a PM or something, I'll gladly help.

    And just for the record, I'm British, so English shouldn't be that much of a problem, right?
