Hi everyone! I'm one of the members of an English VN project that's been going on for a while, and with our demo coming out hoooopefully next week, I wanted to go ahead and post about it here! (You might also recognize me from the other project I work on, the yuri VN Starlight Vega).
 
My team is called AlienWorks, and our game is called The Human Reignition Project, and it's a bishoujo VN with some sci-fi elements. You play as a guy called Ken, who attends a lecture on "The impacts of technology on society," which is just what it sounds like. See, in our setting, communication between people is almost entirely digital. Text messages, instant messaging, or even phone calls; the element of face-to-face interaction is  mostly gone. A lot of jobs have vanished, too, being replaced by more efficient robots that don't need a salary.
 

 
Kojo, the guy organizing the lecture, comes from an older generation, and while he knows his little group isn't going to change the world, he'd at least like to try to change a couple lives.
 
So far it all sounds pretty slice-of-life, I know, but there are some action-y, thriller-y elements that come into play later on. Can't spoil those quite yet though.
 
What we wanted to do was create a bishoujo game with the romance focus that we all love without setting our game in a school. Yeah, there are a couple similar elements to, say, Grisaia or what have you, but for the most part we've tried to steer clear of a lot of the plot and character tropes native to the genre. That said, the game will still include 18+ content in the form of H-scenes.
 
Real quick, I just wanted to mention a couple quick notes about the game. First off, like I said, our demo for the game should be out soon. Like, very soon. It's probably 90% done right now. The demo is all of our Act 1, which is about 30 scenes and I think somewhere around 40,000 words? We're going to launch it at the same time as a Kickstarter for our game. I know, I know, another VN on Kickstarter. Because we work with such talented artists though, we need the funding (we're talking a few hundred dollars per CG). Of course, you'll be able to play the demo without pledging money to the KS.
 

 
Once the demo's done, we'll be putting in on Steam Greenlight. We're published and also somewhat funded by Sekai Project, so you'll see it under their name, not ours. Same for the Kickstarter. At the moment, I'm not entirely sure what the final price of the game will be, but I do know that if you pledge for a digital copy on KS, it'll be cheaper than buying the game off Steam. No other pre-order bonuses though; sorry CoD fans.
 

 
Finally, most of us are gonna be at Anime Expo. I'll be at Sekai Project's table in the vendor hall for a lot of the time, and I might be at their panel, too. We're going to be selling a few prints done by our artists, as well as one guest piece by Doomfest. Here are previews for a couple of those:

Today Krill starts physical therapy He also was just diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and needs to sleep with a cpap machine on we are awaiting its arrival He isnt to happy about that Oh and before i forget his 35th Birthday is this Friday!!

Hi Everyone! Stopping in to give y'all an update on Krill ..He is doing pretty well this week he has his good days and bad. He has had therapy and they are helping so much.They gave him a list of about 50 words to work on at home with me and he can say almost all of them missing only maybe 5 to 10 depending on how his days been.He went to a therapy session by himself with medical transport.He also stayed home a few hours yesterday as i had a Dr appointment and our son was at his grandparents house.When i got home he had cleaned up our sons toys in the livingroom for me :-) He has been able to make his own bowl of cereal for breakfast without making a mess.He has been online and trying to type to friends.He can say "ok" which is better than it was.Tomorrow he is going with his father to sign paper work at the lawyers. Im not sure if i told you about the lawsuit against the first hospital i sent him to the day he had the strokes.They said the catscans showed nothing and his symptoms were a chronic issue from his schizophrenia and sent him home with a blood pressure super high 168/109 and him at that point unable to speak. I sent him to another hospital with a stroke unit later that day and they told me they could see the strokes on those exact same scans and they knew he was having the strokes immediately.So the first hospital missed the 2 hour window to give him a clot busting drug and prevent anymore strokes and cause all this damage he is now dealing with.So we are suing them for malpractice.Please if you have any questions or advise dont hesitate to reply with questions or comments.

Krill has suffered a stroke and is in the hospital. It sounds like he's okay but he will need significant therapy. His wife is willing to pass along messages to him, so please post and let him know you're thinking of him and sending best wishes, and I'll make sure she gets them.

You play the role of Azai Kyousuke, the son of a legendary gangster infamous in the underworld. ENDING GUIDE
This game was a thrill to play. G-Senjou no Maou offers you the chance to be with one of the four heroines in the game, with Haru's Route being that of the "True Route." At some point in the game, the choices will offer you the possibility to branch off the 'main story' (True Route) into one of the other three heroine's own route, leading the player to that heroine's Good and Bad endings. The main story doesn't go on after that. That's why it is the author's suggestion to play Haru's Route last.

A couple nights ago, my mom dug through a treasure trove of pictures to find my onee-chan. She passed away 3 years ago. 4 days from now will mark the anniversary of her death. Ren (and to a lesser extent Zaka) have already taken huge first steps and got their actual faces out there, something which a lot of people are very careful of considering our collective hobby - not that there's anything wrong with being a pervert.
 
I'd like everyone who posts in here to adhere to a few rules, which should be obvious:
Keep it civil - people might be shy, have social anxieties or any array of other issues you don't know of, so keep in mind that these are real people with feelings that I don't want to see hurt. If anything I want to see positive feedback in this thread. Feel free to show off with cosplay, plushies, yourself in a group of people (as long as they are okay with it, otherwise crop your image), or blur out your face, anything to make you feel comfortable sharing something so personal with complete strangers. Should you regret posting here for any reason whatsoever feel free to inform me or any moderator so we can remove your post. For the same reason I'd encourage you to use an image hosting service that allows deleting the image. Since we're dealing with pictures here, put them in spoiler tags to keep bandwidth usage to a minimum. Please keep meaningless discussion off the thread and/or take it elsewhere, like PMs or another thread where it is appropriate. I'll obviously be the first to post, even though it's kind of an old picture (mid 2013) and I don't let my hair grow that long anymore because of the silly locks - I might take a new one if I feel comfortable doing so.
