Aside from the "sighed" thing there's nothing wrong with that line. But even then, it's fairly obvious to see that it's a pun on side. As for why, I don't know, but it probably has something to do with the original pun being with "soba".
The fourth one they just switched "I'm pitching to you" to "You're up to bat". Simple change, and this is done all the time in professional translations.
As for the last one, I'm not sure what about it is "nonsense". The "side effect of intense aggression" is obviously referring to the からくるもの and not the サカリ part itself. If you look up to the SD image, you see the word testosterone. Testosterone is related to both sex drive and aggression. As for the sentence fragment issue, VNs are full of sentence fragments. The wording of the line here makes it pretty obvious that it continues off of a previous line so I'm not sure where the confusion lies.

    ?
The definition of  'good enough' is that it is... good enough.  So while I appreciate time and effort spent going above and beyond to do excellent work, 'good enough' is perfectly acceptable.  That's what it means.
Where it gets weird is that 'good enough' changes over time.  Standards change.  Work that was 'good enough' for video game translations in the late 90's / early 2000's will generally not pass today's minimum standards.  Mostly, it doesn't qualify as 'good enough' anymore.  Companies have raised the bar over time to bring the average up enough that people demand better.
And that is the real threat here:  The VN scene still does bad enough business that SakuraGame's business model - 'burn the forest down and profit off the ashes' - probably provides a comparable profit to doing things right.  Some number of companies will look at the foreign 'market', see it an order of magnitude smaller than the Japanese market (even though Japan has shrunk so much since the heyday 10 years ago or so), and not care enough to pay attention and just sign with SakuraGame because they offered more money or it's easier.
Just like normal video games moved the bar up, but there's NISA and Tecmo Koei trying to drag it back down - the real threat is lowering the bar, so 'good enough' starts including bad work.

localization as its name suggests stands for localizing sth, eg. in this case the act of porting pieces of literature originating from one cultural environment into another, like it or not. & coming to ur point of demographic differences regarding customers, sure they´re there, but at the same time small companies can´t be really expected to make like 15+ versions available, that´s just economical suicide.
in case of u no wanting to read a title localized into murrican, don´t blame a murrican company, blame ur own mileu for no founding one itself, btw there apparently being no enough people buying it in ur native language for it to happen.

there´s no making an argument about.
ideal localization simply means porting everything to the main target audiences country, or demographic whatever - text, names, cultural shenanigans, etc, then dubbing the audio and releasing a product that has an totally western/african/etc feel to it. those who whine about it being no japanese anymore should just read it in japanese, or shut the fuck up. of course fully localizing a title does no neccessarily mean putting less effort into it, or keeping the costs low - good western va´s do ask for reasonable wages (excluding talentfree bums who usually getting hired), same as any other people involved that rightfully call themselves professionals.-
simply translating a title /= fully localizing a title, though both go hand in hand. it´s especially the half-finished jobs done that keep the annoying controversy going, eg. honorifics, unavoidable discrepancy between things heard & things read....

    Hello everyone,
I'm back with another progress update.

On the translation side, the script for the Append and the New Game+ contents is about 10% translated.
As for the images, glupak has already edited all of the images for the tutorials. He's currently working on the images for the Basic Info.

Now, for the partial patch, I'll try to release it within this month or the next. Since glupak has edited the tutorial images, I'm sure you will have a much easier time playing through the game . I'll try to finish with the translation for the menu before the partial patch is released as well.

That's about it for this update.
Thank you for reading and see you again soon ^^.

As most people point out, translating is a tough job. But the real hurdle is the quality and accuracy of it, and I might be the worst person to rely on for you guys, because of my perfectionist streak/complex which is the primary source of my frustration everytime I look back on what I did, and right now I'm being like "wth was I thinking!?"
There's also issues with the currently released chapters. I won't take the links down or anything, but I will update once/if I get to it
Thanks for your patience, guys. It means a lot.
As for those who want to translate it themselves, by all means. It doesn't hurt to pick up Japanese as a skill.

Just ignore their BS.  Translations get bashed.  That is the default.  The only real thing you need to keep in mind is internal consistency and readability.  If something doesn't make sense to you based on the character reactions or previous lines (when editing), don't be afraid to ask advice from a translator who might not necessarily have time to do a full tlc of the game.

    Hello everyone,
I'm here with the first update of this year .
I've finished my first playthrough of Kami no Rhapsody. And that also means I've finished translating the game on Lavirie's route (Yay!)
Now, I'll go through my second playthrough for Mistoria's route, the appends and the New Game+ contents. I'll take this chance to translate the information screen and some other side texts as well.
On a different note, I can't believe I've been doing this for a year already lol. At first, it was just a small project I started to improve my Japanese. But now, it has become a full project aiming to release a full patch for the game XD. Well, I'm having fun so I guess it all worked out ?
In any case, I'm very grateful that there are so many people supporting this project. I'll try my best to give you the patch you've all been waiting for (hopefully, within this year )

    That's about it this time.
Thank you very much for reading and for your support over the last year. Though it's a bit late, Happy New Year everyone ^^.

I found original censored version too - had to look for FDD images instead of HD images with preinstaled game.

I would agree with you 3 or 4 years ago but now there's other companies ready to take their place
rather support someone like Nekonyan than Sekai at this point and what do you mean by support anyway, buying all the crap they release instead of good titles?

They also haven't communicated about a lot of stuff either, why is Leyline 2 delayed again? If you look at a post thats from more than a year ago now they were apparently 87% done...? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sekaiproject/a-clockwork-ley-line-a-visual-novel-trilogy/posts/2023733
Literally 0 updates after that other than saying 'Engine porting is difficult'. Imagine how the kickstarter backers feel.
Also depends on what interests me, nothing Sekai released in whole of 2018 is interesting (note VNs are a very low priority hobby of mine, below a lot of other things)

koikuma is nothing but a moedriven nukige (not neccessarily bad), koi ama bland as it could be & maitetsu a boring behemoth, not even counting in its issues upon release.
though not even being its biggest fan, i´d definitely put walk among zombies leagues above the aforementioned in terms of quality/writing.

nothing worse than blindly buying whatever overhyped title, only to find it boring as fuck, or the existence of people actively defending bandwagoning as how the community should be. unneeeded toxicity when commenting is one thing, but a bunch of braindead fucks is in no way any better.

But translating what a character is literally saying is not the same as translating the meaning of the text into an equivalent in English.

To illustrate: I saw an example somewhere (not this game) of someone complaining about お邪魔します being translated as something like "So this is your home". The Japanese literally says "I am intruding", but who says that in English? No one! In this case, "So this is your home, huh" is not a wrong translation, it's an equivalent phrase that reads naturally in English; it coveys a similar intent without coming off as awkward.
And for people who argue that "well they say it in Japan!"; sure, but they also speak Japanese in Japan, so if you're looking for that level of equivalency you're better off just reading in Japanese.
That being said, I don't necessarily agree with all the localization choices my fellow translators make, and I'm sure they don't agree with all of mine! I just think that as fans we're better off focusing on complaining about genuinely bad translations, rather than throwing around insults (actual constructive criticism is fine!) over things that basically amount to personal preference.

The problem here isn't Valve banning the games. Fact of the matter is that it is their storefront and they can absolutely dictate what is allowed to be sold and what isn't. That falls completely under their rights as a company. The larger issue at hand is the absolutely inconsistent method that they use to dictate what can and can't be sold. We've seen over the past few months Steam go from not allowing 18+ patches, to allowing uncensored porn on steam, back to even nuking the games from orbit. Valve needs to set up a uniform policy here and stop flip flopping back and forth.

    Hello everyone,
Here's an update on how things are going.

For the translation, I've finished with chapter 8 and is now working on chapter 9. I think about 40-50% of chapter 9 has been translated.
For the translation check, Danywar is still working on chapter 1. The progress has been a bit slow since he's quite busy irl.
Other than that, we've finally found an editor for the project! Danywar has asked his friend, a writer, to help us with editing the script.
Now, we only need to find an image editor and the team will be complete.

That's about it for this update.
Thank you for reading and see you next time ^^.
