    Hello,
First of all, thank you for your encouragements ^^.
Now, as for the patch, well, I do plan on releasing another partial patch. However, at the moment, I do not know when that will be. For the next patch, I want to include our translations of the menu as well, so I'll have to wait for that first.
Also, I don't know if I will include all of the story I've translated into the patch. As I've said before, I'll only release a patch if the chapters included in there are playable in English. And well, to release the full story means that pretty much everything else would have to be translated as well. But I'll try to at least include the next chapter and the appends into the next patch.

    Hello everyone,
I'm back with another progress update.
First of all, about the translation... I've finished translating all of the scripts for the story! (Yay! XD)
Now, this doesn't mean that the game is fully translated. There are still many things that need to be translated such as the Eushully Room, the character information, etc. I'd say around 85% of the whole game have been translated.
Next, around 1/3 of the menu images have been edited.
Chapter 2 is still in tlc and editing.
The in-game terminologies list is also being translated.
I think that's about it this time.
While this is quite a big milestone for us, it'll still be a while before the game is fully translated. Please bear with us until then ^^.
Thank you, and see you next time ^^!

Their announcements are so boring (to some) because their acquisitions are boring. They could have been translating something else all this time, couldn't they?
And if three of the remaining five secret projects really are Rance and co. then we only have two left for the Otakon. I suppose Rance 03 is a given and... do they have any Funbag Fantasy titles left?

Well, Robotic Notes is pretty much the only announcement this year that I consider worth waiting for. And if I remember correctly AX last year was also pretty weak. I feel like I'm starting to understand "Learn Japanese!" crowd.

SaintOfVoid reacted to alpacaman in Compass of Dei Gratia announced by Lemnisca (Kickstarter is now live!)
The common use of "Dei Gratia" is as an ablative case, meaning "by God's grace" and was added to the royal title of kings to specify that they weren't subject to earthly jurisdiction. The nominative is identical to the ablative case so technically you could translate the phrase the way you did. Then again, in Latin in this sentence you would use the genitive case so it would turn into "Dei Gratiae". This is probably just me being too much of a Latin nerd, but the ones choosing the title for the OP seemed to be aware of the problem as well, as they translated the title as "Dei Gratia in the 5th Day". That doesn't make much more sense than the title I'm complaining about, but at least it avoids the problem of having to connect the "Compass" with "Dei Gratia" in a way that makes grammatic sense.

Lemnisca just announced Compass of Dei Gratia (Dei Gratia no Rashinban).
    Here is the Kickstarter link:
Sounds like an interesting science fiction doujin title.
    Here is the opening:
They plan to host Kickstarter but I guess the goal won't be to high since there is no voice acting. (But I could be wrong.)

yeah there´s django, almost forgot, i mean i pretty much switched jobs like 10 times since its innitial announcement and went from a non chinese speaking monkey from hokkaido to a decent one, but and it´s still not out, no mentioning them telling of sumaga´s release for x-times by now.....

@novurdim, just been sarcastic there, but to be honest i definitely prefer nekonyans recent approach in only announcing stuff when it´s at least ~halfway done. true new title announcements get u hyped, but all hype is dead when waiting for an eternity. in amatsutsumis case it´s a rather long title that requires much work, but even short-medium stuff like schatten took jast way way longer than it should have.

SaintOfVoid reacted to Nier in Taimanin Asagi Premium Box Released in English by THE Rattan Man! (Spoilers: For All the Connoisseurs of True Art©︎ and Fellow Men of Culture®)
Disclaimer: All of the characters depicted in these pictures are over the age of 18

    Here is the patch: https://rattanmantrans.tumblr.com/post/185967060290/taimanin-asagi-premium-box-english-translation
The Premium Box  was released in Japan back in 2011 and it regroups earlier releases of the Taimanin series in one package and in 4:3 HD resolution.
With this release, it means that the following games of the Taimanin series are now in english:
Taimanin Asagi CE, Taimanin Asagi 2 CE, Taimanin Asagi 3, Taimanin Asagi Gaiden, Taimanin Murasaki, Taimanin Yukikaze Ainmation, Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena as well as the side stories in Izm02 and Izm04.
So almost all of the Taimanin games are now in english, so the only missing games are Taimanin Asagi ZERO (which is being translated right now also by Rattan Man and received a partial patch already) as well as Taimanin Yukikaze 2 and Taimanin Kurenai.

Fruitbat don't publish/license the game so I have only meant that even though they don't release 18+ games themselves, they should still bring to the Harukaze's attention (who are basically self-publishing the game) that there's a very eager audience for the original 18+ version and plenty of platforms to sell it on. Since, you know, it looks like Harukaze have no meaningful interaction with the western audience whatsoever. Nothing more, nothing less.
I'd even say that I generally like Fruitbat, they have released plenty of cool non-ero VNs like Chuusotsu or Seabed, sustain a somewhat decent TL/tech quality and the only game of theirs that originally had ero got the 18+ release on behalf of JAST anyway so it's not like they robbed you of anything. I'm only salty that they didn't bring Eiyuu Senki to the vita back in the day. Boo.

Don't let facts get in the way of a good story. We haven't licensed anything - as I pointed out just a few posts earlier in this thread. Not the voices, not the game. It's being released by Harukaze via their label of TOKYOTOON, and would've been exactly the same way without us, just with less QA and lacking user support.
That statement's all sorts of amusing on other grounds as well, but oh well.

Based on how eroge companies generally operate regarding their western releases (especially when they have no "partner" to help them), I'd say simply asking them first would be the wise decision as japanese eroge pubs may not think of releasing a 18+ version for the most absurd reasons you can't even imagine in the right mind. Looking back, I'd even say they usually approach the release with the mentality of "of course we are going for the safe console version, why would we release porn in the wild west and ask for trouble?" and only then fans can sometimes manage to dissuade them.
I have a very hard time believing that NoraNeko of all things (considering that all seiyuus in the game are the usual suspects) is exactly that legendary game which can't be released uncut due to the extreme licensing issues and it's not simply a case of "can't be bothered to go back to the basic preparations that late in the game". If there's no will, there obviously won't be a way. While true, it would be absurd to stall the steam release for another, say, six months simply because they didn't think of releasing 18+ version, it still means that if noone presses them about it, they'll just think that everything is marvellous and they are genious strategists. Especially since, as I understand it, they don't even look at the feedback, only Fruitbat does. Fruitbat that's not even releasing 18+ games to begin with.

The problem with thinking 'prose' is all about muh chuunige or whatever is that much of comedy is just as dependent on good unmetered writing as whatever the so-called prose nerds like. Would Grisaia's common route, which could well have continued into moe style routes rather than what it actually does with a few tweaks, really have been close to as good with a lame translation? Good prose doesn't have to mean big words or descriptions tinted dangerously close to the violet end of the spectrum either. Nailing character voice, which seems to me like something you'd want in a character-focused moege to make the girls feel alive, is entirely a prose problem, and indeed a translation quality problem.

About that picture, I am well aware of it and it is indeed good constructive feedback, so it's all good. Also note that all the lines in that picture are in Eris' chapter only and not the other chapters. The truth is, Eris' chapter was translated by another translator, and while I did TLC of it, it seems I didn't do a thorough enough TLC (I didn't think it would be that serious), so no excuses there. Hence, I'm currently relooking into Eris' chapter (now that I'm done translating Licia's chapter) and ironing out the spotty translation mistakes in there.
That said, I might release another partial patch which will not only feature the fixes in Eris' chapter, but also adds Saint Irene's chapter (Chapter 3). We'll see how things go
More importantly though, it would be great if I can get feedback on the prologue and Fione's chapter, because those 2 chapters are translated by me, and there hasn't been any major feedback on those 2 chapters.
Eris' chapter is also the reason why I'm translating this VN solo now btw.

Partial patch is now out! Link below and also in the first post:
    https://mega.nz/#!no0DyQza!DZShSFgME_-iW6vaEdYy3oek-794a1yiuiW48U05dBQ
This partial patch covers up to the end of Eris' chapter (Chapter 2). Just extract the files from the zip and overwrite the game files.
    Some points to take note:
    - If you are playing Aiyoku no Eustia from a save file from the old Yandere English patch and apply this new patch, you will notice that upon loading the save file, the first line of the save file will appear gibberish. Don't worry! Just Quick Jump to a previous line. The previous line will appear gibberish, but subsequent lines will appear as normal.
    - If you are playing Aiyoku no Eustia for the first time, you don't need to worry about the above point.
Sorry for the long wait, but I wanted to make sure the partial patch is in good condition before I release it. So here you are. Hope you enjoy!
It definitely isn't canceled! I was just waiting for the QCer to finish his QC before I set up the patch (it took him a while because of life getting in the way). So yeah  Thanks for your comments btw!

    Hello everyone,
I'm back with another progress update.
The hot spring event of append 1 is now fully translated. I'll continue to work on the other scripts for the append and the New Game+.
Nylios is currently translating the character profiles.
Glupak is continuing with his work on the menu images.
Danywar will continue to TLC chapter 2. After that, Vuken will start editing it.
I think that's it for now.
Thank you for reading, and see you next time ^^.

    Hello everyone,
I'm here to deliver what you've been waiting for: the partial patch for the game!

Though I said end of the month, to think I'd actually upload it on the very last day of the month, and for some of you, it's already April 1st...
But even if it's April Fool Day for some of you, I assure you that this update is not an April Fool joke .
Now then, let's talk about the patch:
    - The patch contains the first 3 chapters of the game: Prologue, Chapter 1, Chapter 2.
    - All tutorial images and basic info images are also included in the patch. Though there are still some Japanese texts in them, all of the help texts have been translated. I'm sure they'll prove helpful if you decide to play the game with this patch ^^.
    - Unfortunately. we weren't able to finish the Menu Images in time for this patch. However, you can use ZAP Interface Patch in case you need them. Though there are some differences, they shouldn't be any glaring differences. If you do use ZAP patch, please apply their patch first, and apply ours on top.
    - While the God Medal Icons aren't translated, their descriptions are fully translated. If you use ZAP Patch, some God Medals icons will be translated. However, their translations of the God Medals' names may be different from ours.
    - The Map Icons aren't translated, but the Stage Names when selecting stages are fully translated. If you find it hard to navigate like this, please use ZAP Interface Patch. Though there will be differences, they should be similar enough for you to understand where to go next.
    - The missions, sub-missions and dialogues for each stages are also fully translated. All units and their descriptions on the battlefield are also translated.
    - Since the Append is not fully translated, it is not included in this patch. This also includes the Loser's Maze. That's why please remain on the winner's side for now .
How to apply the patch (for both this patch and ZAP patch):
All you have to do is extract the patch(es) in the root directory of the game, and it should work fine. Please tell me if it doesn't work for you, I'll see what I can do.
I think that should cover everything in this patch.
Please keep in mind that this is not the final version of the translation. We'll continue to improve it, so there may be some differences between this patch and the final patch. Please think of this patch as a teaser of sort, a taste of what is to come .
Though I've played through and checked this patch, I may still have missed something. If you notice any problem (typos, text display problem, etc.), we'd appreciate it if you could take a screenshot and send it to us. We'll fix it for the next patch.
Any feedback is very welcome. That's why if you use this patch, we'd love to hear your thoughts on what we should improve/change.

Finally, here's the link to the patch (it's the same link to the MEGA drive in the OP):
    https://mega.nz/#F!MstRHI6S!bQVaRTSLnwQPNjYuCJKfpw
    That's all for this update.
Thank you for reading, and see you next time ^^.

China has a long history of VN fan translation, and a fairly big market for official releases. In the past two years, there are quite a few Chinese translation companies releasing on steam and achieving good sales figures, so I'm not surprised to see companies like Sekai trying to capture a share of this market. What I am surprised to see is how they actually do it.
Yesterday Sekai released "WAGAMAMA HIGH SPEC" Chinese translation. To our surpise, it's 100% identical to fan translated patch, even the mistakes like misspelled words.
It's very well known in Chinese VN community that this translation involves a scandal. The original translation team gave up the project, then picked up by a second translation group. It was planned for release using the name of both groups, but the original team leader stole the translation then released the game using original team name just before the second group released the final version. Basically, he personally didn't translate anything but claiming he did everything... Since it's not a monetised issue, the two version translation is just a joke about how messy fan translations nowdays among Chinese VN community.
What really surpised me is that this guy sold "his" translation to Sekai Project, and Sekai didn't perform any kind of due diligence before buying the translation. Until people buying the game suddenly realised idential translation, then we know what actually happened.
Fan translation is always a grey area. Is this copyright infringement? Probably not, but it is really hurting Chinese VN translation community when a large company like Sekai blindly buying translation and earning money, while the real translators get nothing in return.
