I'm back with another progress update ^^.
There are both good news and bad news this time, so let's get started with the bad news first.
Our image editor, glupak, has withdrawn from the team. He's too busy irl right now to continue helping us.
Glupak, thank you very much for everything you'd done/edited for us ^^.
On to the good news, I've finished translating all of the texts for the game! Yay!
I'll take another look at it though, in case I missed something. But other than that, I'll probably only be making the patch now, and maybe posting progress update here?
 
Now then, I guess it's time I answered the question some of you have been asking for quite a while now: Will I translate another Eushully VN?
And the answer is ... no, for now. I've spent a little too much time on this project, so I'll take a little break for now (I need some time to clean up my game backlog XD). After that, I'll probably find some other project to work on. I don't know when I'll start again, but if there is any VN you guys would like to have translated, Eushully or not, you can make a post in this thread. I'll take a look at them, and maybe work on them, that is, if I can get my hands on the VN and the tools to extract the text XD.
Another thing is with glupak gone, we have no image editor. Technically, Nylios is switching over to image editing, but even with what glupak has done, there are still a lot of images left. That's why I'll start recruiting for more image editors to help Nylios with the task.

Well, things seem to be heating up a bit, so I'll just put my thought here.
The 'it' I was referring to when I said ' I doubt it'll be a masterpiece' is exactly as Inferno assumed, I was talking about my translation. I feel like it's not exactly my place to say if a VN/game is a masterpiece or not, since a VN/game may be a masterpiece for someone but not for the other. And I'm not really a reviewer or anything like that.
But well, if I have to talk about my opinion of the game, which I think I've said before, then I personally think there are things that could have been better, in both the story and the gameplay. So, I'd say it is not a masterpiece. However, it's not like we can only enjoy masterpieces, right? After all, I did enjoy both of my playthroughs of the game. And well, to be honest, I doubt I'd have been able to keep up this long if I didn't enjoy it XD. That's why if possible, please don't be deterred by whether it's a masterpiece or not, and just enjoy the game ^^.

Nexton plans to localize their games with Mangagamer and "one else localization company" (Nekonyan, maybe?)

It’s sad ... There is one visual novel that I want to translate (https://vndb.org/v6475) there is one file of the .dat format, can you tell me how to open it?

I'm not sure why we live in a world where translators think that just because they've received years of education, training, and practice and lived in parallel cultures for years, that they're qualified to... uh... translate.

This take always makes me facepalm. By this logic nothing should be translated at all, as the voiced lines will always differ from the translation. If you understand the voiced lines, what are you doing reading a translation instead of the original. 

Or just... buy it on JAST and skip the need for a patch.

Hello everyone,
I'm here with a progress update after 2 months XD.
I've translated all the scripts of the Eushully room and the text for the terrains and obstacles.
With this, I've translated almost all of the text (not counting images XD). There are only a few minor files for the voice actors and stuffs left. If I can find the time, I'll probably be able to finish them within this month.
Also, @frontier14th, thank you very much for your support, but you don't have to check back everyday for an update XD. I usually post an update around the middle of each month, so you can just check back around then. Or you can follow this thread to get a notification whenever there's a new post.

I'm very sorry but there will be no progress update for this month. Since I was moving, I've been quite busy, and I couldn't find the time to work on the translation. (And then there's the release of Three Houses zzz).
I've pretty much settled in now, so I'll continue to work on the translation starting next week. Please look forward to the next progress update .

Yeah you didn't read it wrong, and it's real. Anyway apparently Trip find a passion inside him to translate Ginharu here, and so we have a new project from Tsurezure here. As for the progress, there'll be more on that tomorrow so let's just enjoy the common patch for today (Yeah we also already have common patch release) and you can get it from their website as usual. I'll use this thread post their progress later, and I'm looking forward to the final patch here.

2016.

Inre Island.

A seemingly idyllic, modern island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. A constant tranquil breeze along a mild climate, and a well-off society embracing a harmonious way of life. Its citizens often refer to the island as their very own miracle, counting themselves lucky to have been born on it. Tourism is low despite Inre being a highly desired travel destination, and for good reason. Not only is it a trip only the rich can afford, a rigorous regime means a special visa is required for entry.


2018.

Over a course of six months, a lethal biological attack claims a significant amount of lives. While tragedy occupies people's minds to the brim, a controlling governmental plan is constructed and put into motion. All to prevent such attacks from ever occurring again. The following years, Inre Island's citizens face unexpected change from their usual ways. On a sombre day – damp, dark, and horrifying – the internet is shut down, leaving the island disconnected from the world around it.


2020 - present.

After a long internet-less spring tinged with uncertainty, a new system to replace it with is introduced. A new "internet" along digital setbacks result in major changes to everyday life. Unable to adapt, many find themselves spiritually stuck in a world that no longer exists.

Suddenly, the island appears shrouded in mysteries. The closed hearts are many. A select few want a way out. But most want to reset and forget.

Cerulean Days is set in 2020, and follows two outliers of society – mellow Michael and competent Séverine – as they discover the true effects of 2018. Séverine - A creative and intelligent girl working as a professional pastry chef in a luxurious mall. Due to strict schooling and an arduous upbringing, she has a habit of setting a high bar for both herself and those around her. She has a bold side to her, but typically only lets it show around people she's comfortable with. Her past is filled with loneliness, but found comfort in chatting with like-minded people online. Due to the changes to Inre Island, and their effects on the social landscape, she is put in a position she's unfamiliar with. And she does not like it.
 


Grace - A kind-hearted and bubbly woman working at Inre City High School. For three years, she was Michael's homeroom teacher. After a tragic personal crisis of Michael's, Grace offers him all the support a grieving one could wish for. Since that day, they've lived in harmony under the same roof. Since that day, they've found solace in each other's company. Since that day, they've been an uncommon "family".

Rose - A cheerful full-time streamer meets an internet-less society. Confusion about life ensues. Her online community – her everything – is forever gone. Rose is lost, and knows not how to get out of the pit she has been put in. And her stubbornness makes everything all the more difficult! Will she adapt? Or will she remain stuck, holding onto fragments of her past?

I loved Sakura Sakura (probably more than Fureraba, and certainly more than SukiSuki) - it somehow clicked for me, but haven't read Newton yet - the premise doesn't attract me immediately, and it indeed is quite expensive, and never gets any decent price cut during Steam sales, so I haven't bought it so far.

Please leave Fruitbat out of this. They localised the console version, which, as far as I know, is a proper port with replacement scenes etc. They didn't consor/edit anything. They could reject the project altogether, but that could mean no Noraneko release at all. Focus on actual censorship, instead of pushing this argument that every all-ages version of a VN is lesser by default. I'm sick of the fact that every modification to a game that removes or reduces porn is automatically starting a shit storm no matter how it's done, with this BS premise that it's about "integrity" and not fapping material. Sure, h-scenes are always inserted to VNs for "integrity" and "artistic expression" and not shuehorned in as fanservice. That's how things work in the skewed fantasy world of VNfanverse.

Me and programmer FCandChill have recently finished a translation project for the (literally) biggest game and greatest visual novel for the Famicom that pushed the console to the maximum extent of its capabilities: Metal Slader Glory!
However, as the translator is not an English native speaker, we need some help to skyrocket the writing to its limits!
In order to help, you must comply with the following conditions:
Enough free time (The game is 8-10 hours long). You MUST be an English native speaker. Some experience with visual novels in general (like, you have read 2 or 3 before). Some experience with the Famicom (so you know how its games are). Additionaly:
If you know enough Japanese and think you can help with some confuse lines (this is a Sci-Fi game) then that's GREAT, but not the priority. Sorry for the lack of updates~ I just graduated from college so I would be able to put more time on this. My old editor died and I recently just found new editor for the project. Bad news is, he will start from scratch to keep wordings consistent. Also the word wrap is broken and it could use some help.
