so i got some stuff translated but i cant find a program to repack a .ykc so i can see if it worked or not -

k so i got it set Japanese and now i a getting a mix of those symbols and actual game dialog so im guessing i am doing better -
so i manged to get all three .ykc files extracted .ykc 2-3 are both sound/picture files but now i am having a problem with .ykc 1 where i suspect the text files for the game are which is a folder called YKS and i have a bunch of .txt files. if i try to open one i get something like this YKS001 0 0 9 d – 0 * . 4 & 9 = ! I M Q + ] a e i m q 2 ƒ 5 Ž ’ DrawStop GraphicLoad SYSTEM\white.PNG DrawStart Wait d GraphicHide ô GraphicShow – – GraphicDelete Transition è. did i do something wrong when i extracted it or do i need a new program in order to actally get what i need from it to translate

i am new to these forums so i am not sure if this is the exact place for this to go. So i have spent the last 2 hours Remaking Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi in Ren'Py because there is no English patch out there other then running a translation overlay software and i like to play these games without having to use those programs. I didn't get to far like the first 5 min of game play as i am still new to the program and have had to redo entire sections because i used a wrong script setup but i am getting much better at it. so my question is do you guys think i wouldn't be wasting my time doing this and uploading the full version once i am finished for others and if you guys want to see the progress for it and maybe a demo once i get to something like an hour of game-play.
