Season 2 never, I'm sure, but the LN series is being officially localized, and the translator is a friend and is doing good work with it, so there's always that option: https://www.amazon.com/Kokoro-Connect-1-Hito-Random-ebook/dp/B07FNMCNGR/

Alright. I started Kokoro Connect 3 days ago, and I've finished 13 episodes of it.
I was really skeptical of the show due to how it starts out its conflict. I'm not a fan of being thrown into the fire without warning, so when the conflict just came out of nowhere in the first episode, I felt really iffy about the show. Thankfully, it was entertaining enough to keep me watching up to the point where I am now.
What I do like about the show is how it handles its arcs via the EDs. I'm a fan of how SHAFT handles the arcs in the Monogatari Series and Nisekoi by characterizing either the OP or the ED based on which character the arc focuses on or what the arc itself is, so seeing the name of the arcs in the changing EDs in Kokoro Connect really pumps me up to watch it. That particular aspect of the show may be the reason why I continued to watch it despite my prior qualms about it.
One last thing, that I absolutely cannot ignore.
    Nagase Iori best girl.

So, I played a route in Highschool Romance and... I really really like it!
I had an inkling that any trap protagonists that aren't in a nukige will, by necessity, fit into my tastes, but I really like Shoji! He basically fits this
Once he gets used to the idea, after the first week or so, he becomes able to casually interact with everybody. And, unlike normal protagonists, he isn't constantly thinking about people's bodies or sex. Wonderful!
In one of the common route paths a female friend fell asleep on his shoulder and he ended up going to sleep too.
Do you know how much I love having a protagonist that doesn't go "I-I can't sleep." "I didn't sleep that night because my friend from school was sleeping over." Urgh, horrible.
(He's also smooth as h*ck once he knows somebody is interested in him but that's an aside)

Just finished Zanmataisei Demonbane a while ago and I have to say it's a quite an interesting read. A chuunige with mechs is something that you don't see everyday, and for a VN from Nitroplus, it sure has a fair share of humour. Not too many flaws to point out, but
Fight scenes were okay, humour was decent and pacing was alright. I liked all routes equally, so I can't really choose a favourite. Final rating: 8.2/10.

If you guys allow me for another pointless rant, I've recently "discovered" Spotify and started exploring various old music, which I both really like and can rarely be bothered to actively look for (I also listen to so many podcasts etc. that I don't listen to music much lately) and stumbled upon songs by Annette Hanshaw, one of the biggest stars of late 20s - early 30s. Brilliantly catchy stuff and I felt there was this kind of genuine joy and personality in her singing. The kind of stuff that always makes me think "this is a person that loves what they're doing".
Then I read that she absolutely hated singing professionally (and show business in general), despised most of her records (though they all suck) and ended her career as soon as she got married. Said in an interview that she only did it for money and were ashamed of that for a long time. I don't understand anything about this world anymore.

Fred the Barber got a reaction from nekofuwafuwa in Sol Press looking for newer/lesser expererienced translators for future "experimental" releases
Can only speak from my personal experience, which is about a dozen things with about eight different translators, but at least from what I've seen in the industry, the translator usually checks over the editor's output and does so-called "counter-edits" (75% of the games I've worked on). Also, who gets the "final cut" between the TL and the editor is kind of up in the air, though usually the TL and editor simply discuss anything where they disagree, so it's not really an issue.
And just briefly, regarding Fureraba: the translator has spoken very highly of the work the editor did on Fureraba on several occasions, to me and to others, so you can at least assume they were agreed that it was good work overall. I haven't read it myself, but the screenshots I've seen posted here and there have always looked fine to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I decided to rewatch Princess Tutu, and my god, this anime is good! Actually, I remember being completely weirded out and skeptical for the first several episodes when I watched it the first time, but now it actually feels amazing from the very beginning. Definitely a must-watch, unless you have very specific taste in anime.

The problem with thinking 'prose' is all about muh chuunige or whatever is that much of comedy is just as dependent on good unmetered writing as whatever the so-called prose nerds like. Would Grisaia's common route, which could well have continued into moe style routes rather than what it actually does with a few tweaks, really have been close to as good with a lame translation? Good prose doesn't have to mean big words or descriptions tinted dangerously close to the violet end of the spectrum either. Nailing character voice, which seems to me like something you'd want in a character-focused moege to make the girls feel alive, is entirely a prose problem, and indeed a translation quality problem.
