Wow, are trap protagonist really that popular now in the Japanese VN market or is it just a coincidence that the first two titles both have trap protags?

When I started watching subbed anime I enjoyed romantic comedies, harem and slice of life animes and the fact that most VNs have the same "feeling" in the common route was a very big factor why I got interested in visual novels in the first place. So because of that I've always enjoyed common routes. (And It's a bonus for me if they are long and maybe episodic too.) I think darker themed VNs and heavily story focused VNs are better without it, but for charages, nakiges, and moeges it's a must.

As long as the story is good I'm okay with the lot of H-scenes. Koku is my favorite artist.

I liked it too. Mikage is not my favorite writer, but I hope it will be better than Chrono Clock. And yeah, so many big titles in July. I have no idea which one should i read first.

Good to see that this turned out to be decent. But this years seems to be just as weak as last year for story focused VNs. Or am I just imagine things?

Not really. My main problem with Let's Plays is that I like to immerse myself in the story. So I don't care about his reactions and commentary when he is reading. Only at the beginning or at the end of the video. And so far the only lets player I like to watch is ZEN who although reads in Japanese, but he has a really nice voice and good voice acting.

For me it's Sorami for sure. She is just too cute. I'm glad that her true end was truly a happy ending.

That is sad to hear. I like pirate theme games and wanted to try this out as my first Eushully vn, but I guess it's not worth it then...

For me it's Hatsuyuki Sakura right now. Even though it's not a pure comedy game, the humor in this vn somehow really fits my style. But I also really enjoyed Grisaia no Kajitsu, Muv-Luv, and Tsujidou-san no Jun'ai Road in that aspect.

That sales ranking list on getchu is for 2015.01.01 - 2015.6.30 so it's understandable that Sakura no Uta is not in it.
