  1. I love good food, to the point of almost neglecting eating if I can't find anything good to eat. I also like cooking, but most of time I'm too lazy to cook properly. And I assume that others might have have the same problem. So share your recipes. Everything goes, whether simple and complicated, for baking or cooking, spread the joy of making food! Feel free to share your cooking habits and experiences. My cooking tends to be very ad-lib, I'll just use whatever I happen to find in the fridge. And these cooking habits gave birth to my go-to lunch: Turnip Sensei's Almost Legit Noodles 1. First we prepare the sauce 4 dl of water 1-2 tbs soy sauce 2 tsp of brown sugar Meat broth (I have some instant stuff, but I have no idea if there is something like that in other places, just use something to bring a meaty flavor) That's the base, but following ingredients can be added Garlic Pickled Ginger (Rice)Vinegar Put everything in a small sauce pot, make it boil lightly and let it simmer. It will be ready by the time you are done with the other stuff. 2. For something to go with the noodles, just fry whatever you feel like, or whatever happens to be in the fridge. I usually use either carrots, cabbage, beans, bell peppers or chicken. Cooking eggs is also good idea. 3. For noodles, almost everything goes. Soba is good if you want to make it soup like. Just prepare the noodles according to instructions. 4. After that you have few choices. You can either fry the noodles in the sauce or you can use it as soup stock. If you decide to fry your noodles, cook the noodles until almost done, dump them on the vegetables/meat you have prepared, pour the sauce and fry until most of the sauce has been absorbed. If you want to use the sauce as a soup stock, just dump everything in a big bowl and enjoy. it will not look as good (probably)
  2. O_o. You already have all the good games ;D For strategy there are Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre and Disgaia games. I've only played Tactics Ogre and Disgaia 4, so I can't say much the others. Disgaia is pretty wacky and it has bucket loads of content. Tactics Ogre on the other hand is more serious medieval fantasy with branching story. It has some weird systems such as there is no individual level for characters, but rather classes level up. It's still pretty fun. For JRPGs you should check Atelier games. (Meruru, Totori, Rorona and Ayesha) They are partly alchemy (item crafting), partly light JRPG battling and mostly cutesy stuff. The alchemy part is surprisingly fun and the combat is not bad, though I hardly bother with it, the other parts were way more enjoyable to me. They are kind of coming of age stories with girl alchemists as protagonist. It's pretty lighthearted, but it's super cute and makes you feel warm and happy inside. I have heard that Tales of Hearts R is pretty good, but I haven't played that yet myself, so I can't confirm that. Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines is also worth checking out. In Oreshika you have to manage a cursed clan, which members can only live for 2 years. You have to breed your clan members with various gods to get new characters and explore dungeons for a cure for the curse. I'm not really sure what to think of the game yet. It's fun to watch your family tree grow and see what kind of children will you get next. The combat and dungeon crawling is pretty good, but the game has some pacing issues. If you can't complete some story required dungeons in time you have to wait for an year for it show up again. And by that point your previous clan members are probably dead, so you better hope that your new members are as up to the challenge. Still it's not bad game, so might be worth trying.
  3. Anyone else interested in Lost Dimension? SRPGs are always nice and the random traitor system sounds really interesting.
  4. Oh man, Vita recommendations. Vita is my favorite platform after PC, mostly because of all the glorious JRPGs and alike. So yeah, I'll gladly recommend stuff. We all here love VNs, so I must mention Danganronpa and Virtue's Last Reward. They are solid VNs with light gameplay elemements. I don't know if it's counts as VN, but Corpse Party games are something I'm really fond of. I don't normally like horror games, but I enjoyed Corpse Party a lot. It's a horror adventure game with interesting story, really intimidating atmosphere and lots of gore. It's anime gore, but it's still pretty rough. I remember not being able to sleep properly for one night and it was also first time when I almost threw up because of a video game. They were originally released on psp, so it's not really a vita game, but if you happen to like horror you should give it a try. Okay proper games then, Ys: Memories of Celceta is a really solid, party based and really fast paced action RPG. Just turn the volume up, difficulty to hard and dive in boots of Adol Christin & co for a awesome adventure full of epic boss battles and awesome music. Muramasa: Rebirth and Dragon's Crown are both solid 2D action games from Vanillaware. They not only play well, but they are also absolutely gorgeous. And no list is perfect without Persona 4 Golden. Though you should probably play Persona 3 Portable first, because it's kind of difficult to go back to P3P after being spoiled by P4G improvements. These 2 games are in my opinion the best JRPGs on vita. Prepare yourself for long ride though, first play through will clock around 70 hrs, but I assure it's worth the time. The games are combinations of VN-esque story segments, dating sim/ time management segments where you improve yourself and your bonds with your friends(Date hot girls) and pretty hard core dungeon crawling. Bonus points for fast paced and thrilling combat system, where you get extra turns for exploiting enemy weaknesses. There's a few, but If you tell me what kinds of games you like, I can give more specific recommendations. So if anyone has any questions about vita games, I'm here to spread the vita love.
  5. I'm playing my random vita games while waiting for my copy of Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters to arrive. It's late... I have really hard time concentrating on other games when I have some specific game waiting for me. I just end up wasting my time.
  6. The best girl is definitely Aigis. Who wouldn't love that confused and oblivious little angel. Also robot girls are the second best thing after monster girls, so yeah. Choosing worst girl is much harder because they are all pretty good, but I guess my vote goes for Yumi for being utterly forgettable. Also special treat for all Yukiko lovers https://soundcloud.com/followarmada/stepping-up-to-the-amagi
  7. I have yet to find my absolute favorite VN, but Steins;Gate, Fate/Hollow Ataraxia and Virtue's Last Reward all come pretty close. btw, that was pretty amazing moe.
  8. Did it! Took me 3 days to read it, well technically 2 days, since I had muscle pains the other day and I couldn't read because pressing right-click hurt, lol I grew really fond of the writing style, and I liked the fact you understood more and more about meanings of the key paragraphs that were repeated. I feel like I should read the first chapters again, now that understand what is going on. It was definitely a interesting experience and the mystery kept me captivated till the end. I would say it's a pretty cute story. The minigame wasn't bad, but I didn't have the patience to try to get secrets. Though I really liked the music during the minigame. But man it's pretty. I don't remember any other VNs where I had stop to look at the CGs. Too bad the aspect ratio is what it is, I could have taken so many wallpapers.
  9. I have been told before that I need to watch Blackadder, maybe I should.
  10. Haven't read that, so that can't be it. I might have read some book with that style or something, I really can't remember.
  11. I'm writing this to prevent myself for becoming a hopeless lurker and introducing myself. I'm also challenging myself to be more open so bear with me. I'm a huge fan of video games, anime and VNs. I mostly play JRPGs, but that's only because at the moment the only interesting games coming out are JRPGs. I don't really care about genre as long as I like the game. I'll drop few of my favorites as a reference: S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Dark Souls, Persona, Ys and Witcher. But since this is a VN forum, maybe I should focus on my VN experiences and talk about games some other time. The VN that really got me interested in Visual Novels was Steins;Gate. Though I had played stuff like Katawa Shoujo, Corpse Party, Virtue's Last Reward and Danganronpa before. I liked all of them, but S;G had much stronger impact on me. I played it trough in one week-end, I spent the whole Saturday in front of my computer. My friends were wondering what happened, because I turned of all communication so I could play without interruptions. After that I started looking for more Visual Novels and eventually found my way here. Now I have played stuff like F/SN, Grisaia, Dengeki Stryker, Tsukihime, Chaos;Head and few others. My VN reading habits are kind of random. I either rush trough something in almost one sitting, or read it slowly in small parts. As much as like Type-Moon stuff I can't read them for long periods. Except Hollow Ataraxia, but that's probably because it has finally good girls. Other than that I don't have any special preferences in VNs. I'll try everything that looks interesting. But if there is one thing that makes me want to read something, that is someones heartful recommendations. If I can sense that someone deeply cares for a story and has something interesting to say about it, I'm immediately interested. If someone is interested in my anime preferences, then I like tear jerking stuff. So everything by Makoto Shinkai is my favorite. So I'm hoping for good forum experiences and I will try best to show up on threads. Turnip Sensei - The wise man of the vegetable cellar
  12. Just finished the first chapter. May take a while, since I constantly have stop to look at gorgeous CGs. Definitely one of the best looking VNs I have seen since Steins;Gate. And surely I'm not the only one who gets the urge to make some black tea every time I start playing. Right? The writing style took some time to get used to, but it's not that bad. It really fits the "horror" segments. And it feels somehow really familiar, but I can't remember from where.
  13. I cry all the time, so it's almost easier to list the VNs that didn't make me cry. So I'll just mention a few that really made me a sobbing mess. Steins;Gate - Almost every endings and few other scenes Grisaia no Kajitsu - Michiru Katawa Shoujo - Hanoko's and Lily's endings VLR - Luna's Ending The feeling you have after crying out of happiness/sadness/whatever for some scene is somehow really fulfilling, thoughts just drifting in the memories of the touching parts.
