    Hey bois

Hello and welcome! That avatar sure looks tasty.
  3. It's not that archetypes don't exist in western media, it's just that they tend to be done better. Repetition, archetypes, clichés, tropes and so forth are all fine as long as they are handled well.
  4. Tried to read 11eyes, but the intro was some over dramatic bullshit and once that was done it turned into some typical slow, over explanatory bullshit with annoying background music. Not for me/10 Majikoi A-2 was nice though, a bit short.
  5. I do love a good overpowered heroine, there's something nice about a girl who could kick anyone's ass and really let you feel like a pretty princess. Evil geniuses has also always had a soft spot in my heart, but I haven't really come across any such heroines.
  6. No. There are other people from Finland here, but one does not simply go out and meet other Finns. Unless drunk.
  7. I quite like it, it's nice and simple for the most part, not full of bullshit. Lilly is best grill.
  8. It doesn't look like anything to me.
  9. The difference here is that English is actually a global language whereas Finnish is understood and spoken by less than 6 million, i.e. not a global language as I'm sure many Finns will be surprised to hear. And it's not like Finnish couldn't use a good reform to make it simpler to learn and use.
  10. For a forum dedicated to Chinese slideshow porn games, people sure are conservative here. I don't see any reason to to why hentai couldn't be art just as any piece of shit can be considered art by some pretentious asshole, however, as pointed out here already, if you are going to present something as controversial as that you need to have a very good presentation with solid arguments. That aside, your teacher sounds like an asshole.
  11. What made you want to study the vastly inferior field that you do study? And why do I feel like I have come across the answer to this question already? And what is love? And what's the biggest dick in the whole north pole? And why will there always be another and? And why am I still writing this? And still? And I'll stop now? Or will I? And yes I will. Probably. And maybe not And why is this not as good of a shitpost as I wanted it to be?
  12. Let's Plays are all about adding to and creating your own content form what is already there. The game should be nothing more than a tool, if someone just reads the text there's no real value in it. I could see how a Let's Play could be both good and bad for the industry, it exposes more people but you can also pretty much get the whole experience that way.
  13. And I answered that I find them equally important, if I don't like the writing, I skip, if I don't like the plot, I skip. Writing can ruin an interesting plot, but writing can't save a dull plot. And vice versa.
  14. You can't really have one without the other, and on top of that, writing is something which can be objectively classed as good or bad whereas plot is far more subjective.
  15. Nah, I do know how to swim, at least the last time I checked. It took me a long time to learn but I haven't drowned anytime recently. Next person has the biggest boner right now.
  16. So the season finale of Westworld arrived, quite the satisfying ending. Great season overall, hope the second season will keep it up.
  17. This is a highly subjective complaint about the contents of this thread.
  18. Sure, yeah, probably, there's always a teacher I just can't get along with. The next person is not afraid of voicing their opinion.
  19. I think you should maybe perhaps read the title of the thread again.
  20. It's the only one I have personal experience from, I bought it last year and ended up choosing it over the XPS (there was no Suface Book at this point and for some reason I ruled out Lenovo) for a number of reasons, full aluminum body, touchscreen available at a lower price (might have changed this year), supposedly better keyboard and better availability, for some reason almost no one sells Dell here anymore. Overall I would say I'm happy with my choice, but it hasn't been without it's faults. After about half a year of use one of the hinges got loose, would most likely have been just one screw that needed tightening but I ended up sending it in anyway. Smooth and quick process but the adjustment of the hinge was done so poorly that I ended up opening it up by myself anyway to adjust it. The ridiculously large touch pad is mostly nice, almost Macbook nice, to use but the right click area is way too small. The keyboard is very nice, perhaps the best laptop keyboard I have used. The touch ends up getting utilized way less than it could, but it's definitely a nice feature to have and can be more useful with a pen if you for example need to write down a formula.
