  1. It's pretty shonen-y I guess but I enjoyed it. It's a tighter, more focused story than any of the big shonen names for sure.
  2. It's gotta be something like the Baldr games with their gameplay sequences. For some reason the Mangagamer version of Otoboku took forever to load on my old Windows 8.1 tablet too.
  3. Yeah I’m sorry my memory of this CG set is very fuzzy. Wish I could remember the search terms I used to find it in the first place.
  4. Neither of those two, unfortunately. I guess I should have also mentioned that it's probably not translated. Not really lol. The only characteristic I'm sure of is that series of kneeling CG but that's not something I can really search for.
  5. This is gonna be a long shot because I never actually read this thing. I only saw a CG set a few years ago. The traits that I can remember are: - Likely an older VN from between 2000 and 2010 - EDIT: Likely not translated - Seemed very lighthearted and comedic in tone - I think the setting kept changing from like fantasy to pirates to sci fi and whatnot. - The above possibly implies an episodic story - At either the beginning or the end of a shift in setting, the characters would always be lined up and kneeling on the ground. Same pose every time. - The above mentioned characters may or may not have increased with each shift in setting. E.g 1 character kneeling for the first setting, 2 characters kneeling for the second, and so on. Like I said, it's a long shot but I've been trying to find it for a few days with no luck. If any of this rings a bell for anyone, I'd be most appreciative.
  6. It's likely embedded in the exe. You'll have to dig around with a disassembler to find it.
  7. Wow I didn't realize it's been over a year since Umineko Gold got put on hold.
  8. So what exactly happened with SP and their Dracu-Riot project? Did Yuzusoft decide they were going too slow?
  9. You'd probably have to dig around in the exe with a disassembler and replace the embedded font. One of the recent-ish high profile translation projects did this to get a prettier font. They wrote a blog post about it that was super interesting but I can't remember which VN it was for so I can't find it now.
  10. Are those books good? I've tried to read Basilisk Station like 3 times but I always stall out. On topic: I'd like to see localization companies stop making discretionary edits to "problematic" content.
  11. This just in: VNs cause lung cancer.
  12. Other databases I contribute to do have points systems that allow you to work up to being able edit things, but as far as I know. VNDB isn’t like that. I don’t have that many edits but my account is still able to edit basically everything I want to edit.
  13. I'd feel a little weird tagging characters who I haven't personally observed saying ara ara. Would you be able to tag her?
  14. C’mon I know some of you better read types have gotta be able think of a few characters.
  15. A few months ago someone on VNDB convinced the mods to resurrect the previously rejected Ara Ara speech pattern trait. I thought that was a cool trait to be able to be able to add to characters. However, since it’s resurrection only a handful of characters have been tagged, and underused tags/traits tend to get nuked after a while. I personally don’t want to see that happen to this trait in particular so I would like to ask you all to do a quick brainstorm for characters who say Ara Ara and tag them with the trait. https://vndb.org/i2430
  16. Yeah but you can just mount the ISO once and leave it mounted until you’re finished with with the game. It’d be easier than getting the disc out each time.
  17. Nostalgia amplifies with time that’s kinda the whole point.
