  1. I have no idea which file it would be. I've looked at some of them in notepad+ and they just show up as garbled gibberish. I have no idea idea what I would need to do to properly view and modify them. I was hoping someone more technically capable would have found a way by now. None of the other machine translator software have the ability to overlay the translated text on top of a fullscreen VN which makes them worthless. If you don't add character names into the shared dictionary it commonly messes up the machine translations when a name gets spoken.
  2. And I have now lost all interest in this VN. I always assumed she had a route as she is listed as a main character on VNDB. Well there goes another potential VN.
  3. Has anybody found a way to add new words to the shared dictionary in VNR now that it is down? When I go to the shared dictionary there are thousands of entries there. If I try to add one it won't save and therefore doesn't get used by VNR. Considering there are thousands of entries being shown, there should be a file somewhere on my PC with this data in it. Does anyone know what file it is and where it is? It should be possible to add new terms with something like notepad+ if I can just find this file.
  4. Rune Factory and Harvest Moon are the closest you will get from what I've played. You could also play Stardew Valley. There are mods to change the character portraits to look more anime-ish, but once again it's a farming game.
  5. Yeah this games Hard difficulty seems pretty unfair so far, but I'm forcing myself to play on it. I've gotten game over a good 20 times already and I've only played up to 5/5 so far. Really wish the main character was allowed to die like the rest of the party members. It makes the game way to RNG. Unfortunately I didn't get free DLCs(Healing and Skill one) because they go against my gaming principles. So my 1st controlled visit to the castle was in the starting armor and weapons. I wanted to go all the to way to the treasure in 1 run, but SP and Potion restrictions stopped that from happening. I did manage to make it to the the tower(2nd to last checkpoint) on my 1st run though. Hopefully I can manage to make it to the treasure in a single run on the 2nd castle whenever that unlocks. Just make sure you don't wait until the last day to run the dungeons. You will need at least 3 days. 1 to reach the treasure, 1 to place your calling card, and 1 to take the treasure. I also recommend you DON"T place a calling card on Saturday. You want to have control of your character on Sunday so you can buy the juice from Shibuya.
  6. Loving the speed they are translating this. Currently in the process of reading Midori's route and so far I've found it to be well done especially when you consider their speed. I get the feeling I'm not too far off from the end of her route though. Looking forward to the rest of the VN. It's one of the few VNs that has me looking forward to the childhood friend route. Not Runa I find her to be pretty annoying I'm talking about Yukino

  8. Unfortunately I'm not in the 'most' category. Though knowing Nutaku they will just make the loli's breasts bigger instead of outright removing the scenes. Not too hard of a problem to fix.

  10. Sooo... anyone wanna blacklist Sekai Project with me? Hopefully MangaGamer has something interesting, but considering how good their announcements were at AnimeExpo I doubt it.
  11. All I want from Otakon is some 18+ announcements from Sukai Project. Maitetsu, Ley Line, Wagamama, Tenshin Ranman, Chrono Clock, Baldr Sky, Maitetsu, and Maitetsu all need 18+ versions from Sukai.
  12. Well I apparently almost missed a shit storm while playing Phantom of the Kill on my phone. This right here is honestly one of the better suggestions I've read. I think something else that would help Denpasoft grow is having some bigger name 18+ only VNs on the site(means no steam version for it). I'm pretty sure someone else mentioned this though. If they want Denpasoft to grow releasing overpriced 18+ patches is not the way to go. To be honest though I wish Sukai Project would simply not release All Age versions for VNs that only have an adult version in Japan. This in my opinion can be called nothing short of blatant censorship. If they really want to be an All Age VN company, then stop localizing VNs that have an 18+ version in Japan. There are plenty of shitty(my opinion) All Age only titles they can localize and release. They should have aimed to get Island the VN fits them perfectly and yes I am calling Island a shitty VN hate me all you want for it.

  14. Not enough Yves. On a more serious note though there are plenty of problems with the VN from what I've played so far. Currently I'm in Yves's route, haven't played the others yet. Out of the 4 main heroines I only like 2 of them Yves and Yuzu. I'm more or less neutral with Touko and outright despise Akane. God could she be anymore generic and annoying. The main character isn't particularly interesting, pretty generic to be honest and his classmates outright favoritism towards him feels way to forced. They all go on about his courage and him being nice being what makes him so great, but I'm failing to see these points. It looks closer to recklessness and cowardice to me. Just my 2 cents though hopefully he'll develop to be more interesting, but let's not bullshit ourselves on that one. Despite all of my complaining though it's still a fairly enjoyable VN so far and the only segments I've skimmed through so far were some of Akane's parts as she just annoys the hell out of me.
  15. I only play VNs that have voice acting. This is one of the reasons I do not touch OELVNs.
  16. In general I do like and prefer there being a common route. The common route is typically used as a get to know them arc or whatever you want to call it. Usually there isn't any romance here and is meant to get the player more invested into the characters or setting. The biggest issue I tend to have with the common route is more related to the way choices affect the it and how most VNs transition from common route to a characters route. Many choices will cause a short scene to change and then it goes right back the standard common route. This lack of diversity and meaningful choices are my main issues with them as you are always just fast forwarding through them on replays. I think common routes should work with a branching story aspect. By this I mean you make a choice(for this example we will say there is 2 choices) and then you branch into common route A or common route B. Common route A brings you closer to characters 1 and 2 while common route B brings you closer to characters 3 and 4. Route A and B scenes are different and so are the next set of choices. This next set of choices will determine if you continue along your current common route or go to common route C which will have an eventual choice that can lead you into the the other route(A to B, B to A or stay in C which may lockout characters 1 and 4 ). I think taking an approach like this will make the common route choices feel like they have more of an impact and are more meaningful. This has the catch though where you can't use the easy point based system most VNs use nowadays. Choice 1 gives +1 affection to character 1 and choice 2 gives +1 to affection of character 2. At the end of the common route tally up those affection points to determine which character has the most points and if you have enough points to enter that route. Hopefully I explained everything well enough to give you a general idea of what I mean. I woke up not too long ago so I'm a bit out of it still. Pretty much I like the existence of a common route I just dislike the lazy way they are currently implemented. If you actually read the wall of text you have my thanks.
  17. Anyone have a save file(or know where to get one) for this game with quick convenient access to all the school mode endings with Japanese audio(pc version)? I don't feel like playing through the minigame and all the youtube videos I can find for it have the English audio.
  18. I hope so. Though I don't get why they don't use that translator for the web site. I'm sure they want this VN to succeed, but that image is more likely to scare people away from this VN than to get them hyped.
  19. Oh god train wreck incoming. I now fear for this VNs translation. I don't think a good editor will be enough for this one. If those are the quality of the translations some things will be hard to decipher.
  20. Agreed. It really bugged me for a while. But after an hour or so I started to notice it less. My dislike for it isn't really that it moves to slow that my reading is stuck waiting on it. It's just when I'm reading a part of me notices the text appearing while I'm trying to read which distracts my reading.
  21. Yeah I'm actually running through it right now. Not all that far into it yet though. Can't say much at this point. The text speed is annoying as hell though. Why is there no way to set it to instant?!?!?!?
  22. I haven't played Killer Queen honestly forgot it even existed lol. I remember seeing it back when it first got translated. While the art style is not the greatest it is acceptable enough for me. It's a bit too dated for my preferences, but I just might give it a shot.
