  1. You could also try out some of the h-rpgs for rpgmaker. They aren't really VNs though, but some of them are worth a shot such as Meltys Quest, Rune Pharmacy, or Ariadne. Meltys Quest has an official translation while the other 2 require a fan translation patch if you want to play them in English.
  2. Well I woke up to a pleasant surprise. A Sky full of Stars isn't showing up in the popular new releases(steam) for me anymore. Looking at steamspy this looks to be their least successful game so far. Unfortunately steamspy doesn't show how well MoeNovel's other games did in their first week so I can't get an accurate comparison between them. Obviously MoeNovel is still continuing their silence treatment. Lastly yesterday someone had created a topic in the steam discussions about trying to put a team together for an uncensor patch, but it looks to have been deleted. No idea who did it though, but on the off chance it was Moenovel(most likely considering the post didn't last an hour) then we have even more reason to hate them... YAY!!!!
  3. A working steam patch can lead more to more people purchasing MoeNovel's version on steam. This in return sends a message to MoeNovel that there is no reason to change their current localization process. The visual novels that MoeNovel releases are not the issue. The fans of said VNs are not the problem. The problem is MoeNovel and how they handle their localization. Anything that supports the subsidiary known as MoeNovel should not be done. In the short term it sounds like something that would be good for all fans. The reality though is it means MoeNovel will continue to release censored VNs if they continue to be profitable. How is supporting the gutting of all future Pulltop VNs good for VN fans? Do you think this fan translation group or other fan translations groups want to spend their time fixing official English translations or do you think they'd rather be translating a different VN that has yet to grace English readers? Just think if MoeNovel had released a proper version of If my Heart Had Wings the fan translation group working on it could have been spending their time work on translating a new VN that hasn't been translated yet.
  4. Hopefully it's not true, but what can you do. If an uncensored patch should ever be released for A Sky Full of Stars I do hope they make the patch only compatible with the Japanese version of the VN. Just import MoeNovels script to it and then translate the missing scenes. Hopefully doing this will get people to purchase the Pulltop version and not MoeNovels.
  5. Probably not, your best bet is to wait on the re-translation patch at this point considering how close it is to getting completed. As a warning though from what I understand the patch will not be compatible with the English Moenovel version of the VN. Hopefully it remains this way otherwise it incentivizes people to purchase the MoeNovel version of the VN.
  6. I think the bigger issue is the people over on facebook. Have you seen all of the positive replies they got for this release on their facebook page? I don't use facebook or have an account for it, but those people look to be the bigger issue. Last time I looked I don't remember seeing a single comment mentioning the lack of an 18+ version. There's a buncha casual scrubs asking for a phone port.
  7. I hope enough people boycott this release. Can't believe this trash company(subsidiary) is still around. Either release 18+ versions or give up on the English market. They need to stop getting in the way of potential fan translation projects doing this VN right.
  8. I'm unable to connect to this site without using a VPN right now. I don't know if this is an issue on my end or what, but help would be much appreciated. This is the message I receive whenever I try to access the site without a VPN. Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to forums.fuwanovel.net. Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s). (Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap) The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.
  9. This does not allow you to contact the developers. I sent a message through it yesterday and received a response from a Nutaku Customer Service Specialist. This was the reply I was given "Hello, Thanks for contacting Nutaku Support. The developers of Tenioha! : Girls Can Be Pervy Too! decided to remove this content. We were not aware of this until it was reported by our users."
  10. If someone releases an uncensor patch for it I'd be willing to play it. This means adding the missing CGs into the game and translating the removed scenes. Otherwise no this company can go fuck itself.
  11. For me it was one of the more enjoyable VNs that I've read. The routes are a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to quality, but I enjoyed the way they went multiple playthroughs. The added scenes on additional playthroughs was really enjoyable. Some of the routes I wished would have gone on longer. Honestly I think its worth a read. Just keep your expectations realistic. It is by no means the best VN ever made but it''s not bad either. The main character isn't the most generic thing out there which was nice. While the route quality varies a bit I think it's kind of its strength. Some are more character focused others more story focused. Some more actiony others more romantic.
  12. I have to recommend Muv-Luv Alternative. It's technically the 3rd in the series. If you are looking to get the full experience I'd read the 1st 2, but they are nowhere near as good as the 3rd. Another VN I'd recommend is Comyu. While not the most highly appraised VN it's worth giving a shot at least.
  13. Tsurezure Scans are prolly the fastest AND most consistent fan VN translators right now. I enjoyed Hatsukoi 1/1, though I can't say I'm hyped for this one. I'll give it a shot eventually, but the lack of loli kinda kills my interest.
  14. I find it hard to enjoy multiplayer in this game anymore. It feels like it's changed into a PP grind with songs at AR9.5 or higher. Funny thing is though you make these guys play an AR8 song and they fail hard. Not to mention I feel like no one likes playing anime songs anymore. It's turned into electronic type stuff.
  15. I've got an unusual request. From my memory you have to play through Ann's route to unlock someone else route(s?). The problem is I hate Ann and I have no intention of playing her route. Supposedly their is some important info in it though. Can anyone spoil me that info so I can just skip her route? I've only played Konami's and Mio's route and that was from back when the fan demo(whatever you call it) was released. I don't intend to reread them though. So don't spoil me the other routes if possible.
  16. Only 2 VN have managed to hold my interest all the way through this year and that was Hatsukoi 1/1 and to my surprise Wagamama High Spec. I didn't expect to like Wagamama High Spec much, but it has definitely been one of the more enjoyable reads of the year. I've tried to read Da Capo 3 and Dal Segno, but got bored and lost interest within a few hours. Sooner or later I plan to try Princess Evangile W Happiness , but I'm not to hopeful for it. Libra's translations was a fail so I doubt I'll read it any year soon. Almost forgot about 11eyes I plan to give this one a read eventually. Not sure if I have much expectations for it though which is why I still haven't gotten to reading it yet. So far though the year has been pretty so-so. No amazing releases, 2 decent ones, 2 boring, 1 fail translation, 2 I'll get to them eventually. If I didn't mention a VN that released this year it's either a Nukige(prolly read it was meh like all nukige are), All Ages(no interest in reading), or just something I don't care about in general.
  17. I'm having an issue with the shared dictionary. When I open up VNR it will load the dictionary I uploaded to vnr.aniclan, but after a few minutes if even, the shared dictionary returns to its default state with a single entry in it. Is this a bug or is there a way to work around this issue? I'm sick of having to manually re-add a bunch of entries every time I open up VNR.
  18. Well I guess I can't call them Suckai Project anymore. Way to go Sekai Project 18+ FTW!
  19. Well Suckai Project has picked up some interesting looking VNs. Now I just have to pray they don't ruin them by releasing all ages versions only. Manga Gamers announcements are a bit disappointing. I am somewhat interested in Magical Marriage Lunatics, but would of rather gotten Sakura no Mori Dreamers. Though I am interested in Evenicle even if the art style is a bit on the meh side.
  20. Definitely not buying this one now. Do they not have an English editor or is the editor's main language not English? This thing is gonna be a train wreck. Hopefully they listen to feedback and release a patch with fixed translations otherwise this will(hopefully) be their last kickstarter.
  21. They're gonna lose a lot of sales releasing so close to Nekopara 3.
  22. While there are mild slice of life elements I have to recommend the Mushoku Tensei web novels. They have been fully translated to English and it's 24 volumes long. This series has it all action, adventure, romance, fantasy, drama, and comedy.
  23. I am now the happiest person alive I haven't actually tested if VNReader will accept new entries yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't. You can easily open and edit the xml with this free software http://www.firstobject.com/dn_editor.htm After opening the file you will want to click 'Tools' then 'Indent' to make it more readable. Otherwise it's just an unreadable cluster of text. Below is a random entry I copied from the gamedic.xml file. <term id="152974" type="output"> <gameId>33067</gameId> <userId>4</userId> <userHash>1982435318</userHash> <sourceLanguage>ja</sourceLanguage> <language>ko</language> <timestamp>1446214815</timestamp> <updateTimestamp>1446307178</updateTimestamp> <updateUserId>3422</updateUserId> <hentai>true</hentai> <special>true</special> <pattern>해신</pattern> <text>카이신</text> <comment>name</comment> </term> I'm no expert programmer so most of what I'm gonna say is just guess work from me. For each new entry you want to add you'll essentially need to make a modified version of one of these. term id - you will want a number that isn't being used by another entry. The highest number entry in my xml file is 214368 so I will be using numbers higher than this one. Just scroll to the last entry to see what the highest id is in your xml file. type - if you go to create a new shared dictionary term in VNReader you will see all the different types you can use for type. trans for translation. For the rest just type in the actual word for the type you want. gameId - this is where I've run into some issues. You can't make the entry work on a specific game only as the gameId is on the now dead vnreader servers. I believe if you just remove this line of code it will apply the translation to all games. userId - I believe you can just leave this entry alone. From what I've seen all terms have this entry so I don't know if there will be issues if you remove this line of code. It just represents the user that originally submitted the entry to the shared dictionary. userHash - This line of code is unnecessary so you can just remove it. sourceLanguage - The language the VN you are reading is. Don't write the full language name. If you go to text settings in VNReader for the VN you are reading and click down on the 'Game language' option you will see the shortened text you use for each of the languages. language - Same as above except the language you are translating to instead Read above entry for language entries. timestamp - From what I can tell all entries have this line of code so just leave it at whatever it is. I don't know if removing this line of code will cause issues. updateTimestamp - This line of code is unnecessary so you can just remove it. updateUserId - This line of code is also unnecessary so you can just remove it. hentai - I have no idea how this line affects anything. It isn't a required line of code so you can remove it. I believe it somehow relates to the 'Enable hentai translation rules for H-scene' in the shared dictionary preferences. special - I'm not sure what this is for. There are other entries without this line of code so you should be fine removing it. pattern - This is the actual text you are looking to translate. So whatever word/name/etc you are looking to translate put here. text - This is what your pattern will be translated to. So put your translation here. comment - This just adds a comment in the shared dictionary. This line of code is unnecessary so you can just remove it. host - Not shown in the above code, but this is used if you want only a specific machine translator to be affected by your added translation entry. Such as using <host>google</host> would cause the translation to only affect the google translator for VNReader. context - Not a required line of code and will default to all if you don't use the code. It can otherwise be set to dialog, name, window, or other. It causes the translation to occur only under certain contexts. As to how VNReader goes about this I have no idea. private - Not a required line of code but it can be made true by putting <private>true</private>. I'm not sure if this has any use with VNReader being in its current state, but I figured I would mention that it is a possible line of code that may be useful for some reason or another. Make sure all new entries you add have the </term> at the end of them otherwise issues will occur. If anyone else can figure out anything else it would be much appreciated.
  24. So still nothing on an 18+ Maitetsu?
