I'm 21, French, & a deep anime fan. I'm mostly into thrillers, psychological stories, supernatural & some kind of science-fiction (I kind of hate space opera). Although, I watched a lot of anime that could be classified as moe such as K-ON! (S1, S2, OVA, Movie), OreImo, AKB0048, Zero no Tsukaima & I really enjoyed all of them.

Anway. I've been adviced to come here because I am actually really interested in Visual Novels, although I only read a few. I started with Saya no Uta, which has been translated in French, then played a bit of Katawa Shoujo but I did not like it (I'm not really into dating games - galge isn't it ? -) & went over the so famous Fate/Stay Night. I was not able to finish Heaven's Feel due to personnal issues but I'm planning to. I finished all routes of Yosuga no Sora, though it was very hard to understand the untranslated one, my japanese is more than shaky (only have basics), started to play the official english version of Steins;Gate.

Anyway... I have never been a big player of Visual Novels, mainly because it tires me out to read everything in english as well as being concentrated on the story. However, I really do love the concept of it, and as a very creative person, I have been looking for an opportunity to create my own game.
 
So here I am !
For about a year now, I have been working on some story of mine, little by little, but I was never sure how to use it, how could it be played, of even if I would be able to make it become a real Visual Novel.
Recently, I decided to get into this project way deeper & it has gone quite well BUT... As a writer, a developper, I have absolutely no talent in drawing, composing music and have no idea about programming.
I have some friends who are willing to help me, especially in chara design & music, but they are not that much into VN themselves, so I am looking for some French people who are really interested in joinning me in this project of mine which I will write about later in the forums
 
I hope to have a great time here with you all & although I'm not a very funny person, feel free to make fun of me.

I have been lurking the forums for about 3-4 years, Ikr, I'm a creep. Just decided to make an account (though I used to have one, but for some reason, I can't access it anymore).

Also is it just me or is this Chibi art strikingly similar to the ones in Yumina the Ethereal?

You do a regular practice with a card that has the same skill.
So for example a card with a "Perfect Charm" skill will only level that skill if you do practice with another card that has the "Perfect Charm" skill.
 
If the card is level 1 skill and you use another level 1 skill card to practice, it'll level up to level 2.
If you want a level 3 skill card you'll need to do practice with another level 2 card (that's a 100% guaranteed level up), but if you want to risk it you can use another level 1 skill card again, there's a 50% chance it'll level up, this chance keeps decreasing the higher level your card is (from level 7 to level 8 it's like a 1% chance) so if you want guaranteed level ups, only use cards of the same exact skill level.
 
Exact figures if you want to level up cards to level 3 and higher using only level 1 skill cards (courtesy of Cychun87):
 
lvl2 -> lvl3: success rate of 45-50%, my exact figures were 48.2% so if we factor in random bad/good luck I think that's a good ball park to fit in

lvl3 -> lvl4: success rate of 20-25%, my figures were 23.7%

lvl4 -> lvl5: success rate of 8-12%, my figures were 8.3%

lvl6 -> lvl7: success rate of 2-5%, my figures were 3.7%

lvl7 -> lvl8: success rate of less than 1%, my figures were about .5%
 
 
Personally I've gotten my UR Kotori up to level 5 using only level 1 skill cards, but I think after that it's just impossible to get that lucky so it's probably best to go down the guaranteed route after.
If you only want to go the guaranteed route you'll need 128 cards for level 8

Also, I enjoyed Mayuki's route immensely. Mayuki's too good.

So I was thinking what thread could I possibly make where I can make myself useful (supposedly on discussions tho) but the forums already have a long history so figuring out what could I possibly add to enrich the forums ended in me banging my head against the wall nothing. So yeah I decided to put my skill to use. Namely, making graphics stuff like wallpapers, signatures, and timeline covers. So yeah anyone can request and I'll do my stuff. Do keep in mind that I'm just a lolicon mortal human so I do get tired so don't kill me if I need to rest. <insert a puppy with teary-eyes pic>
