  1. Always thinked that the ending 2, of the normal character surviving but becoming paranoid and crazy, was more in line with the lovecraftian horror style. But i like ending 1 and 3 too. In 1 there's the contrast between the chaos Fuminori lived (and almost drive him to suicide) and the pure white, but even more mad-inducing and ostracizing asylum. While the idea of saya and fuminori having their own climax is cool, i liked the ending 3 more for the Ryouko endnote. It looks painted in 1954 "i am legend" references.
  2. this is a pretty rare tsukihime remix album by little wing. Using those in the game makes the experience sooo better. At 01:55 we have 月光 and 27:21 we have 7th moon.
  3. Something that was kind of created in japanese due to class distinctions and changing family structure brought by globalization, but now is seen more and more in the rest of the world is the "Kyoiku mama". I'm using the world in the sense of The issue is complex and had to do with a lot of social transformations and Japan's educational system. But it pass up to a lot of people as just "this mother is a B#$%". And it's kind of a driving force in various animes/mangas/vns/lns
  4. hum...i think that in this saya no uta heavily contrast with, say, chaos;head. I like both a lot. But there's just one true ending in chaos;head, but there's a lot of options. They would either: -go into the delusion system. This is, you will either see the real (neutral) scenes, or a violent variation (in case, the protagonist is the one that suffer) or a sensual variation. No impact at all in the endings. It's a very "sandbox aproach". -go or avoid death endings. Then we look at saya no uta. There's just 2 questions in the whole game. They will directly determinate the routes and the ending that you can get. This does means that it's less interactive...you won't be able to take actions in the rest of the history. But when you do take a action, it have really really heavy implicances in the course. Giving a example of this in rpgs: tactics ogre battle: let us cling together (psp). At the beggining, you will be asked a sequence of questions in moral dilemas. There aren't correct or incorrect answers. It will affect the status and attacks of your "Hero", that you will be obligated to use in every mission and the class can't be changed. When you advance more, you will be confronted with moral dilemas, around lawfull and chaotic options too. Its the D&D definition: lawfull following duty and responsibility (what sometimes can obligate them to commit bad deeds), while chaotic are the free willed (what put all the responsability in them about deciding what is a good or bad deed). Again there's no right or wrong. But it will drastically affect the route the story take, and what characters will wan't to fight under your command.
  5. Sorry if it gets off topic. While i'm not a american, when i read "the ravages of time", i left a lot of question marks in morality and culture barriers. Searching a little i ended up in texts about confucianism, taoism and xia codes. It might be not what people are, but their ideal/horizont in moralitty....in the same way that catholics don't necessarily follow Ten Commandments, but it's their definition of right and wrong. This text is kind of long, but bringed me some responses http://www.heroic-cinema.com/eric/xia.html

the book that i end up re-reading numerous times was bernard cornwell"s "the warlord chronicles". Specially "the winter king", since Nimue godness have more presence there. In light novel realm, it's probably Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru . There's a huge pile of things that i expect to read soon, but i have tol prioritize Hyperion cantos now ¯◡◡¯·
