  1. now for the real question, do you trust valve with your information?

Developers are at risk of personal information being shown to the wrong person, players not able to fight valve agreement, and valve making bad games (if you ever played counter strike you know what i'm talking about). why use steam if you the player will never own the game? why do the developers free or profit are forced to share sensitive information? and why do you believe this error wont happen again?

    just food for thought

  2. We seem to have access again, I'd suggest changing the verifiable email attached to you steam account, and deactivate all previous devices that can access your account (it excludes your current IP). Not sure if it's safe to do so, but I also deleted my saved CC info, fuck that noise, heh. Though at this point, the damage has already been done, so /shrug.

And just to be extra paranoid, going to wipe steam off my computer, run a AV scan and reinstall it, just to play it safe.

oh and check your (C:) steam files hides in your system.

    where to find it:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam

  3. My only real concern now, is that under payment details - you can view the full name and address attached to a credit card saved in the system.

I mean sure, the CC# is censored (except last 4 digits) - but name and address is on full display, pair that with email and = profit? Don't like my real details just hanging out there in the void. Hoping the servers were shut down before anyone saw it. Obviously just being paranoid - but we live in a age of identity theft, after all.

why yes this been covered many times other the years, your CC# are shown everywhere.

"Heck, most of the time they'll call you before you ever notice it happened. Credit card fraud is so pervasive, banks have started covering the cost just so people don't cancel their cards."

  4. i can be the reviewer but i wont buy random VN for no reason. i'm a developer so i always look for creative gameplay, the code, writing, and character development for each game.

    Gender: boy

    Alias: firecat
    Age: over 9000!
    Role: reviewer
Experience: i done some game reviews before, its been called "daily challenge" and some other stuff.

  5. i found nothing from their websites and people that i talked too, all i found was this: https://www.opencongress.org/bill/s2413-114/show

for people who do not want to read the great wall of text

    https://www.opencongress.org/bill/s2413-114/show

maybe thats where the kickstarter talk is about? if you read it, you can see that it includes the whole internet (kickstarter as well). we all know that kickstarter has done questionable things like: http://kotaku.com/12-successful-kickstarters-that-never-delivered-1687019268

so ya i can see why congress wanted a "UNFAIR OR DECEPTIVE ACTS" to end

  6. Noting new here, society already works that way.

    Hidden Content

good news, its never going to work. the first game to ever do something like this is from google (yes they were trying). it was called ingress but people stop playing due to phone fees and just plain not worth it. if china wants to give people something it needs to be useful or else they just quit.

I think you missed the part where it's going to eventually be mandatory for all Chinese citizens.

you forgetting that people that do not get anything interesting will just give up on following it. giving gifts will cost money, as history shown give people gifts and they will find a way to abuse it. this isnt about following a law, its about how much will people stand for it until they give up on it.

  7. see? you don't understand sarcasm or jokes and therefore you think that jokes in a text format can't exist, that's a fallacy.

Age doesn't have anything to do with knowledge, I was a kid at that time, granted but that doesnt mean that because it happened in the past you can't know anything about that specific subject, again that's another fallacy.

Finally saying that some people get confused over simple stuff means that you cant joke in a text form again another fallacy right there.

well looks like i win, Clephas wasnt Scarastic and i know more than you, etc, etc, leaving this picture so our endless fight ever ends.

  8. lol, Firecat, 'There is no Tsukihime anime' is a long-standing joke amongst those who read the VN... because it was so horrible, we pretend it doesn't exist.

don't waste your time, he is like sheldon from the big bang theory and doesnt understand sarcasm or jokes.

first of all that joke is very old and forgotten (the game was made in 2000, where we, yes you deep blue were just kids or teens) and second you cant use sarcasm in the forum, it never works. text are taken serious until you give some kind of hint and that line:

    There is no Tsukihime anime.

did sound real because people do not know about the series or the joke. study some psychology and you see where people can get confuse over simple stuff.

  9. it would be a good site if it had a little bit more things like:

links to official websites or updates, while you at it maybe add something like official stores that sell figures, keychains, etc.

more visual novels outside the steam app.

    mobile friendly

no sign-ups, since everyone is getting sick and tired of always adding new passwords.

a forum to talk with other users.

more language, this is the reason why many sites fail because it does not offer other language and english should not be domain.

and lastly an indie section for visual novel developers who are starting.

  10. :objection:OBJECTION, there will always be a "S" to mark it has "more than one". every country uses it, japan uses it too just listen to this:

    scissor->s<- and another one is:

    Sakamoto, our cat. He talk->s<-.

so your theory on never using S as plural is wrong.
