  1. Hey guys! I need help from a Japanese speaker! I've downloaded an app called Emofuri which is a movie maker that can be found here: http://emote.mtwo.co.jp/emofuri.php I've tried to read inside the app but I can't >_< looks like a 300+ kanji didn't do the job. So I'd love it if someone could download it and help me out. (Could I try a text hooker for this sort of thing btw?) If anyone knows anything more about Emofuri I'd love to know, as I'm trying to add it to a Ren'Py project I'm working on.
  2. Confession: I never made the "introduce yourself" post. I wonder if it's too late to bother...
  3. You still looking for a VN to work on? I have a project that I'll need music for in a few weeks/ a month. PM me for more info
  4. Well, I actually learned at about 15-25 per day for two or three weeks then I just dropped it and maybe did two or three a day until I stopped altogether. I think I just tried too hard and got bored with it? 800 kanji in one month? Woah. Maybe I could try Memrise a bit more.. Alright, I'll learn some grammar and move on to some VNs. Maybe I'll take a look at the thread that rates how difficult some untranslated VNs are again. I'm fairly sure I know how to use Jparser, thankfully. I'll try to do this haha because I can already see kanjidamage boring me....which is bad I think. My attention span is...nonexisistent
  5. kanjidamage.....heheh yo mama. Thanks, Getsuya. Yeah, I've tried sites like memrise before and I stopped because they didn't teach only kanji, which is what I was focusing on, Kiriririri. And, Down, it's true. Kanji learning isn't really a "fun" thing. Although, I'm hoping some yo mama jokes might get me back into it
  6. I've been trying to learn Japanese for a few months, but it has gotten very boring. At first, I was very interested in learning and it didn't bore me at all. I'm up to about 200 kanji using the Heisig method and this method has stopped being fun...I know this is probably the quickest way to learn kanji but learning kanji like this and studying flashcards quickly becomes a bore. The reason I'm learning is so that I can read untranslated VN's and this means that I need to have a grasp of kanji, right? It's impossible to read a VN without kanji knowledge. Is there a more fun way to learn kanji?
  7. Sono Hanabira gets boring after a while, but I loved Aoishiro and Lonely Yuri. They were good.
  8. Wondering if I should start learning Japanese again...curse laziness ^-^

  9. I haven't played a VN with a significant other either although I would really want to. Most of the people I've dated hate VN's and it makes me thing I need to date someone who agrees with my tastes. I have played Katawa Shoujo with a friend though, but even that was enough for them. They should see Euphoria....
  10. Kara no Shoujo and Saya no Uta left me feeling depressed for quite a while. Both of them were just so tragic... Saya no Uta was just depressing in general. I really pitied the main character and I felt so bad during the ending where
  11. Phenomeno looks good too. Nitro+ makes a lot of good ones. Ghosts? Hmm that's the one sort of horror thing that actually gives me the creeps
  12. Oh thanks! I forgot all about Umineko and Higurashi. I'll try these out
  13. The soundtrack was okay. I didn't really like any of the songs besides the track that I think is called "The Villian" and the track for the main menu. I had to turn the music off whenever "I'm Falling" came on though. Just didn't like that one.
  14. Hey, I've been craving a good horror or mystery VN. I've already read: Kara no Shoujo Saya no Uta 999 Cartagra ~Affliction of the Soul~ Are there anymore good English translated VN's like these out there? Any good recommendations?
  15. YMK had pacing issues, yeah, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. An Aya route would have been interesting. A route dealing with Kouhei's own family issues is something I would have liked to see. Although, not a lot of VNs do that with the exception of Amagami, I think.
  16. I haven't finished Yume Miru Kusuri yet, but I'm excited to be reading it with you guys!
  17. That finance tune is just amazing!~ XD Seeing that makes me immediately want to back this project
  18. Anyone who would want to read a serious, dramatic yuri should check out Octave. It's a manga about the adult life of a former idol.
  19. Trying an RPG is probably about the same as any other VN. It just really depends on the level. To start, maybe you can look up a list of English translated RPG's (if you can't find any Japanese ones) and then search for an untranslated download.
  20. I hope your recovery is quick, Krill! I wish you well.
