Ryechu got a reaction from Templarseeker in Shinigami no Kiss wa Wakare no Aji
Shinigami no Kiss wa Wakare no Aji

    Summary
"Is there something you want to leave behind for your loved one?"
A young boy and girl lived in a small seaside town. One day, the boy invited the girl to the sea to convey his feelings to her. However, she lost her life in an unforeseen accident. Months and years later, the boy continues to live in the place where his memories with her remain. He can't forget her, yet he must.
Our protagonist, Amamiya Makoto, spends a peaceful everyday life with his younger sister, Shizuku. One day, he meets a mysterious girl, Kohaku, who has deep blue eyes and carries a giant scythe. "Can you see me?" she asks. None of the people around him notice her. "Oh. You'll die very soon, then."
    She is a shinigami.
This is a relatively short VN with nakige elements and solid art.  This is also the hardest walkthrough I will likely ever make.  It'll all make sense when you read it.

Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order
In order to get Kohaku's route, you must first get Shizuku and Honoka's routes.  After completing those two routes, start a new game, and a new window will appear to allow you to choose which route you want to read.

    Summary
Cum on down to the peaceful Bukkake Ranch, a good old farm out of the way from all the commotion and hubbub of the town, a place where you can relax and enjoy a quiet life with your four elementals: the salamander girl, Sara, the slime girl, Myil, the kobold, Korin, and the harpy, Papy. Life is good on the farm. That is, until the Demon Queen shows up your front lawn, demanding you create the legendary Slut’s Stone before she decides to wipe your farm off the map.   This game requires you to obtain items, which can be synthesized into important items required for the storyline.
Ending Guideline   This is a Visual Novel with gameplay elements.   There are three endings to this game, each having vastly different item-gathering methods.  There are a total of seven zones (including the breeding house) where items can be gathered.  Each character can gather different items at all six locations.  It's your job to figure out the fastest way to obtain all of these items, as well as the necessary catalyst (Jizz, for the record) for each synthesized item.   Please note: In order to activate the advanced courses, you must first obtain 500 Jizz.   Walkthrough   Before we actually get to the endings, you need to know how to gather each item.  Each spoiler contains all of the items each character can acquire in each zone.  Note that all items require copious amounts of Jizz to create, so be sure to factor in the time to acquire all of that as well.   Sarah

Ryechu got a reaction from telosking333 in TsukiWare's Latest Projects - The Tower of Five Hearts / Virtual Ro:Mance[18+] [GxG, Gx?] [Kimochi Red Light Active!]
Hey, all! I finally decided to do a post on Fuwanovel about TsukiWare's latest projects! We've reached our original $3,000 goal, and there is a stretch goal or two that could be met if enough people are interested! The spoilers below contain information about both of our titles - let us know your thoughts! If you're interested in backing us, our Kimochi Red Light campaign ends on March 24, 2017, at 1:55AM EDT.
I will start to post more information once the campaign has ended, including a few updates regarding our UI, Programming, and a couple other links that I need to update once I confirm a few things. We will be releasing demos of these titles, which I will also link here as well!

The link above is the best route to approach the SonoHana games. While there are not a ton of things you REALLY have to know (because "Maidens of Michael" does a good job reintroducing the couples—enough to help you understand why they are where they are), I would definitely recommend playing all of the games in the order mentioned in that link.
"Maidens of Michael", chronologically speaking, does come before "Remembering How We Met" (which is actually a sequel to the as-of-yet untranslated 15th game "Snow White's Knight", which you'll notice a previous Best Couple is missing (Rena/Runa can't be a best couple for reasons you either already know about or will find out in "Maidens of Michael") and has been replaced with a new one) and "New Generation!" "New Generation!" in particular takes place after all of the previous Best Couples (including Sayuki and Rikka) are graduated and off doing whatever it is they decide to do. So there's actually a pretty large time window involved here.
Also, if you organize the game releases by date on VNDB, you'll get the same recommended playing order, honestly. "Maidens of Michael" is the eleventh game of the series.

https://twitter.com/JRyechuR/status/931710867665817600 - I enjoyed working on both titles
@Nier, just a general note that it's infinitely easier to work on games that are developed by companies a publisher already has connections with than to try to work with a new company. I didn't look too hard, but it doesn't look like ANY of the companies you mentioned have any sort of relationship with any English-language companies, subsidiaries and all. Again, didn't look too hard though.
Marigold has been around forever, Bishop/AiCherry have been around literally forever. So has Anim. I have no basis for this, but I'd think that, if you partner with a company for a specific title, the first thing they'll ask is "Why not this newer game?" Some of the titles you mention are a few years old, and would fit into that category.
Also, I edit what I enjoy. Your "bottom of the barrel" is my "sweet spot." I'll kindly ask that you not trash other's tastes
If you have particular suggestions, might I suggest sending [email protected] an e-mail? I hear that's the preferred way to put up suggestions...

I don't run FuwaReviews anymore (That's Palas), but as somebody who used to run it, I can at least shed a little light on what's going on, and explain why I stopped doing reviews in the first place:

So, for those who aren't aware, I work for quite a few different companies in the localization industry in various different roles. I won't provide that list here because you can find most/all of them by looking around. Some of these companies I started working for in the past couple years. Before that, I had a ton of connections with a lot of different devs, and I was able to get us signed up for review keys from something like a dozen companies/teams/groups/whatever you wanna call them. Some of those connections are still around today, while others have pulled out for various reasons (none of which were our fault—at least not that I'm aware of).
During that time, we had pretty consistent reviews, a great set of reviewers (many of whom are still on the team), and it was 20% thanks to our reviewers and 80% thanks to Flutterz (seriously, he edited everything for us and is amazing—10/10 would recommend) that we were able to be that blessed. Thanks to our connections, I was usually able to just be like "Hay [company] can I get key for x?" and then divvy out the keys to whoever wanted them.
Then, everybody started getting busy. A few reviewers, including myself, fell off the face of the Earth/peaced out/couldn't spend time playing VNs. It sucked. I put out a call for new reviewers and got basically nobody (except Decay—love you bae). I got slammed with school and life and official stuff, so I stepped down. Bats took over and tried to keep the ship afloat, but during this time we lost roughly half of our connections for various reason (not because of this swap, just bad timing). We attempted to pick up more reviewers, but nobody fit the bill.
We have a general process for our reviewers, which is why we had to turn down quite a few people. We try to remain unbiased (though, like any review site, it happens), and we write enough to justify our reasons. A lot of our posts are on the longer side, follow a pretty straightforward format, and give people a good idea of what to expect. We also anticipate that our writers have some mastery of the English language, so that we can get reviews edited in a timely manner. Not much to ask for: you spent two to 40+ hours playing a game, hopefully you'll be willing to spend thirty minutes to an hour writing a solid review.
So we were having problems finding reviewers. And while I say "We," I mean Bats.
Later, some "things" happened. At the time, we had a rule in place (mostly for me) that we cannot review any title we worked on. For the record, I never reviewed a title I directly worked on, and any titles I did work on had a disclaimer, especially when I was the one who got the key. It's the ethical thing to do. But, because that wasn't enough, we had to strengthen the rule to "We can't review games from a company we work/worked for." I understand why that rule is in place, but the number of companies I can do reviews for is fewer than the number of companies I can't do reviews for, so I was finished.
Bats left the VN scene completely shortly after this, and Palas stepped up. He's doing what he can, but there are a lot of roadblocks. The fact that a couple other reviewers also had restrictions placed on them caused a bit of a dead space that we still weren't able to fill because nobody applied and met the basic requirements to be a reviewer. We still have a strong team, but virtually all of us are involved with something (official, unofficial, or non-VN related) in one way or another, and it's difficult to make it work.
Would I love to run FuwaReviews again and get it back to the glory days? Yes, of course I would. But I can't. I'm too involved in the community for that to work out. Instead, I'll have to depend on somebody else, and I look forward to seeing if we can make it work out.
And maybe, one day, I'll do a JAST game review. Maybe.

Sometimes the writers of the game never see the CG until after they've wrote the game, and this can lead to inconsistencies when translated directly (and, since I don't want to start that argument, just know that if people want a literal translation, they will get it, even if it doesn't match what's going on). This happens a number of times in Shadows of Pygmalion, especially when it came to describing (spoiler)

These sorts of inconsistencies do occur when the writers and artists aren't working together, and since creative rewrites are often looked down upon, they just remain there.

We tossed this idea around for a while, but the problem is that the content and format of these user-submitted reviews was so inconsistent that editing them to at least match the straightforward format we use would have been a nightmare that I would never wish upon anybody. When I asked for reviews/reviewers a couple years ago, I got a bunch of 1-2 sentence "reviews." There were one or two reviews at most that nearly met our requirements, but we ended up scrapping those as well because they still required more information to fulfill our requirements and Tay and I agreed that trying to get those up and running was more work than what we wanted to do.
This is also huge for us. We want to create conversation using our reviews, and knowing that people actually take the time to read our reviews is an incredible feeling.

Maybe.

    Cho Dengeki Stryker
    Buy From Mangagamer!

    Summary

    From Mangagamer:

Yuuki Yamato has modeled his young life after the superheroes he loves. When his best friend Haruna is teased by bullies, he always tries to defend her - but his life is not a comic book, and things never work out as planned.
One day, after yet another failure, Haruna tells Yamato that she is moving away. She asks him to come and see her off, but Yamato - his pride still wounded - cannot find the courage to face her. When Yamato is feeling his lowest, an old man appears before him. He is known as the Memory Collector, and he will grant one wish in exchange for a memory. Yamato makes his wish: to become Dengeki Stryker, his favorite comic book hero.   Years later, an army of cyborgs from the Balbora Empire appear in the city where Haruna now lives. With the police and the army powerless against the Empire's mechanical might, it falls to a single hero to stop them - a hero who looks remarkably like Dengeki Stryker!   This is an action-packed visual novel full of twists and turns that takes the reader for a ride that they will never want to get off of!   Suggested Route Order

Cho Dengeki Stryker has an enforced playing order.  In order to progress to different sagas, specific endings must first be seen.  This walkthrough is for the entirety of both Dengeki Stryker and the additional stories in Cho Dengeki Stryker.  There is the option to force certain sagas to be available, but it is HIGHLY suggested that you do not utilize this feature unless you are reinstalling the game or something similar.   Dengeki Stryker also had an additional set of "Jack's Diary" pages.  While you will get most of them playing through the routes, there are a few extra requirements to get the remainder of them.  They will be noted.   The Steel Saga endings can be completed in either order, but I suggest first completing Rin's, followed by Clie's.  Events in the Light Saga will not change, but will flow slightly better if you read it after completing Clie's route.   There are a total of seven different endings over six sagas.  Many of the sagas draw from the same common route.  Some endings do not require any choices.  If you are not keen on rereading text, you will be abusing the Skip Read feature a LOT.   Route Guideline

    Hey all!
So, there hasn't been progress in a while. And that's entirely my fault. Unfortunately, due to real life concerns, I have been forced to prioritize other things over this project. While I don't want to step down, I don't realistically know when I'll have an opportunity to really work on this.
Thus, if somebody wants to take over this project on the editing side, it won't be painful. The process is actually pretty easy, as Nandemonai has done a phenomenal job on the translating front. It's been a blast working with him, and I wish I could give him the time he deserves, but I hope somebody else will take the reins and get this project up and going!
If not, and if I can find time again, I'll get back to work on it!
