holy crap, of course fucking someone, whilst chopping his/her limbs off, is illegal, BUT this is considered fucking fiction & as long as i know its up to everyone himself if he gets off of pink romantic intercourse, or piss & shit, or titty-lacking lolis, or raping donkeys, or getting your waifu banged by a group of homeless ones, or in this case even cute chicks beeing forced to give autofelatio to their own innards. seriously you dont have to read stuff like that, neither try understanding its related fetish, but dont just demonise people doing so. please.

edit. in some countries such content may be forbidden, but so is often its (seemingly) harmless pendant.

this goddamn-ish mentality of yours is exactly what´s keeping companies such as mikandi jp to appear on stage, ultimately fucking up people´s hopes and expectations. you seriously don´t want to get it, do you? like if this (libra etc) was an unofficial translation of sorts, like if some retards suddenly decided on doing stuff they had no single clue about, like them stubbornly ignoring all goodwill-ish feedback in the process of creating an abomination you could either read(?), or refuse doing so, because well, it´d be an unoffical one, so fuck it. but in the case of libra it´s fundamentically different

    - licensing costs & whatnot probably at a minimum due to them being all lovey-dovey with xero

    - still got an impressive sum of little over 180k out of the kickstarter campaign of theirs

    - having put quite some reccources into propaganda and avertisement

    - unless all funds were spend on drinking finest shochu and whoring around with schoolgirls, there should´ve definitely been enough left for hiring themselves some competent staff

    - & lastly let´s please not forget one of the claims they did make:
"XERO has partnered with MiKandi Japan to complete this giant task. Together we are working with the original writers, and programmers to deliver a superbly translated game"

so yo, from a customers point of view this sure is sth to feel angry about, even more so if he/she happened to back the aforementioned campaign, which as things stand now was build on lies and utterly false assurances.
not even remotely wanting to mention the bad turn they´ve done to each and every smaller-ish publisher who´s trying to somehow get by when doing kickstarters.

edit: and just to be clear, this has so fuckingly nothing to do with being able to read moonrunes or not, because if you´re calling yourself a professional, yet keep on delivering one hell of a garbled mess, getting condemned should be expected. simple as that.

Nice! This was an interesting listen. A little bit of random commentary from me:
I have to admit I kind of roll my eyes whenever I hear people griping about Chrono Clock's localization, since it's honestly one of the better VN translations that's come out in the last year by my lights (I dunno, 80th percentile? 90th percentile?). I get that DD's Japanese interjections are controversial, and I admit I find them annoying as hell too, but I have yet to hear anybody offer any suggestion which I actually believed was a better alternative to capture her bizarre speech. One thing worth mentioning that I've heard is about the way DD is perceived by Japanese readers: apparently her constant English interjections in the original actually come off as incredibly annoying. So, if you find her annoying in translation, perhaps you could say the translator actually nailed her character.
I personally find Chrono Clock's frequent British slang even more off-putting, but that decision is even more clearly just a judgement call (if a bad one, IMO, purely from a perspective of sales). The bigger issues with the translation are the horrifying mixture of past and present tense (which I have yet to see a single other person complain about, but which seriously sets my teeth on edge), and the periodic awkward phrasing and mistakes which mostly lurked in some of the clearly unedited routes I played in the initial release. There are still a fair number of proofing errors in the script of the version I'm playing (which I think is the current 18+ release?). It's a shame they rushed the release to meet a deadline, instead of taking the extra month of polish the game could have used.
I also don't know how much access to writers people usually get when officially localizing a VN. My understanding, at least, is that that's the exception, not the rule. I'd love it if that became the norm, but I'm pretty sure the typical story today is that license holders and localization companies talk, and then the localization companies then typically hand off scripts to contractor translation teams who basically work on their own. The original developers and writers (i.e., typically not the Japanese license holders) usually don't get pulled in at all (after all, the writers themselves are often contractors as well, and they've long since finished what they contracted for). So, while that's a nice vision of the world, I doubt it happens all that often. But I do dearly hope things move more in that direction, and it does make me happy to hear it happens at least some of the time (this is, honestly, the first such anecdote I've heard).

guess this was bound to happen, eh? did read it shortly before my mind collapsed and definitely had a blast whilst doing so, quite happy for others being able to experience the same somewhat soon-ish as well. from what i get the whole kickstarter thingy is to bring over an enhanced version (+goodies) of its, isn´t it? anyway hope it does well for you and possibly more to be brought over titles of theirs future-wise wouldn´t be bad either, especially a certain beautifully written jqv.

edit: don´t you ever go mainstream, doujinshi are the industry´s real alpha & omega.

edit2: just noticed that amoeba called malamasala commenting on the prefundia of yours. better not take his simpleminded whatsnot of an opinion as a measurement for the community as a whole, because that´s what it is. neither high res visuals/ famous voice acting, nor ero content which often feels out of place is what should matter most. if the writing is shit, everything is shit. simple as that.

Bimonia is one of the last Birdlings alive on this earth. The Birdlings see humans as sworn enemies, and Bimonia has been taught to kill on sight.

One day, Bimonia meets Tayo, a human child hunting in the forest. Bimonia fails to kill Tayo, and they instead become friends. Mother will be furious if she finds out, or worse, this relationship may cause tension between the two races to erupt.

The Last Birdling explores Bimonia and Tayo's fight for their friendship as the world threatens to tear them apart.

Hi everyone ! I want to share with you my next project, The Last Birdling:

There is always a special touch to announcing projects on Fuwa. I started this VN journey with Unhack, which I like to think grew up alongside this forum. When I look back, I realize it has been five years since this all began. Maybe a random like me has no right to boast about a five year anniversary project, but The Last Birdling is exactly that. Thank you for sticking with me through the years.

This project originated from a short story I wrote in around 2006 named The Last Dragon. Back then, a common feedback was my narrative contained too much dialogue. As a form of training, I wrote The Last Dragon to see how it would feel to write a story with no dialogue at all. This rule has been abolished in The Last Birdling, plus I have deepened the plot, and now here we are.

The Last Birdling has been in the works for over a year alongside Unhack 2. Today, I finally get to show it to you. Thanks to your years of support, I am able to fund this game without Kickstarter. While a funding campaign can be used as another source of promotion, I want to show what a difference you have made to my life. Thank you so much.

That said, the journey can be rough. Recently, I have been tempted to take options that may lead to people calling me a sellout. I love money as much as anyone else. That, plus all the hate against western projects, too. Truth be told, I almost have nothing left to give. I wanted to get all dramatic and claim the "last" in The Last Birdling means this is my final project. That was the original meaning, but I have changed my mind since then, as the love is too deep. Let's see how much longer I can be me.

To finish off, I would like to leave you with this:

    Thank you everyone !

Chuusotsu - 1st Graduation is getting a western release by Fruitbat Factory! We have a Prefundia page up for the upcoming Kickstarter project.
It's a new all-ages visual novel by Studio Beast (NSFW link), the circle that made J.Q.V Jinrui Kyuusai-bu ~With Love from Isotope~. Chuusotsu is an HD wide-screen title and it's getting a dual language release (English and Japanese).
This is our first Kickstarter project and we welcome all feedback with open arms!

that is because of him translating up to 8h each day, which still doesn´t rule out a possible non-readability of its, but asuming his editing counterpart is at it with determination similar to his, then things should probably work out, maybee.
more concerned about what lies beyond, and how, means what are their minds going to look like after being thoroughly worked to the bones.
