Audi went into full Nutaku Protection Mode, which even caught me by surprise.  Also, this sounds like a deal negotiated specifically for this title, as he mentioned that other upcoming titles will still see releases on the Denpasoft store.  Nutaku may have negotiated for exclusive distribution rights.

I guess it's time to make a quick update. Not sure why people can assume this to be dead. If you look at the progress link in the second post, the numbers increase nearly daily.

RaurosFalls is back in action and is currently working on the last half of the last file in Yuzu's route. That will be the second route to be finished.

My current goal is to get everything up and running with the HD version and transfer the translated lines. While it might be a a newer version of the same engine, so much has changed that it's essentially a new engine, which I have to figure out. It's progressing steadily and will just be a matter of time. It turns out that most of the lines are unchanged, which means the translation can be reused. However they changed some lines, which will likely result in no fully translated files. How much new translation work this result in is still unknown.

I have decided to drop support for the 2008 version. One reason is that given the difference in the engines, making it work on both would be too much work. The other reason is playing around with the HD version is.... wow... just wow. The resolution is significantly higher and the visual improvements from that are better than I expected. However I would say the resolution is really a minor thing compared to the other changes. The new engine can scale, mirror and move sprites quite freely and it seems all scenes have been rewritten to make full use of this. Zooming in on something in the background happens from time to time and the zoomed in vision can move around according to which items are of interest in the text, like center vision on one character sprite and then turn the head to center on another if the other one starts talking. Most impressively is the moving background of the sidewalk where slowly zooming in gives the impression of 3D where you walk into the background, even though it's just a 2D image. In other words, the remake is significantly better even if we ignore the resolution. No comments on the added contents or training because I haven't come that far yet.

TL;DR, Super-cute game from a recent Comiket by MokyuSoft that is an VN with SRPG elements. 151 Pokemoncute girls to work with.  I backed it on Kickstarter. Hoping this game is as cute as it looks.

Well, MG is full of passionate people who are not driven entirely by profit. It's actually pretty crazy how much of critically acclaimed but business-wise risky titles they localized so far. I just pray they are able to keep it up since most of the stuff I really want to tl is in the pretty risky category too (please buy good games instead of Sakura Spirit, people).

If you were in the known, then in the future I respectfully suggest that you should refrain from using reprehensible "buzzwords" and ill-fitted terminologies that might lead to some unfortunate confusions. Using the term "shill" in reference to someone that is clearly not an employee of such honorable, remarkable and hospitable company is truly the lowest of the low and reveals an utter lack of responsability towards the weight that one's own impetuous words might have on others.

Have you by any chance played the greatness that is Corona Blossom Vol.1: Gift From the Galaxy, mayhap? Or are you making some baseless conjonctures like almost everybody else's that has some negative things to say about it?
Listen, Corona Blossom Vol.1: Gift From the Galaxy is a good Kinetic Novel that should take on average ~8 hours to finish, if Vol.1 is indicative of the length of the subsequent Vol.2 and Vol.3 then this should bring the complete length to a total of ~25 hours, so 30 USD for such sublime experience is truly a Gift From the Galaxy!

Might I inquire, how would you know about anything related to any of what you just so irreverently claimed? You just admited yourself, here:
That you have not even deigned to honor the game by playing it and yet it seems that your prejudiced mind has already passed judgement on it:

"Frontwing fanatic tendency"? No, I am a True VN Fan™ and I will defend the honor of any VN companies that have proven themselves over the years by making fanastic VNs, wether it be Frontwing, âge, Eufonie, Key, Liar-soft, Makura, Minato Soft, Nitro+, propeller, Pulltop, Purple Software, Regista, Saga Planets, sprite, Type-Moon, Yuzu Soft and so many others!

    Hi!
So, we have a completely different release and marketing schedule for Japan and overseas.
The reason Vol.2 has been announced and preorders opened in Japan is that the physical release of Vol.1 was last Friday, and the promotion for Vol.2 was prepared in light of that.
We haven't started promoting Vol.2 overseas yet for a number of reasons; for example, we're still reviewing all the feedback we got about Vol.1 and figuring out how to approach Vol.2's release in light of that, also, we're going to be utilizing Indiegogo again essentially as a pre-order platform for the game (more on our reasoning for this will come when the campaign is announced), but not all of the goods, etc. have been completely prepared yet so we've held off on an opening date announcement for that (but it's coming soon!).  It has nothing to do with our relationship with or standing in the Western VN community, nor with the sales of Vol.1.
As far as the tapestry is concerned, our contract with Sofmap prevented us from being able to offer it overseas.  I'm glad you like the design, and it's unfortunate we couldn't make it more easily available, but there's literally nothing we could do about that.
I've mentioned it before, but we're certainly not affiliated in any way with anyone trying to guilt people into buying our products or anything remotely like that.  At this point the only person speaking for Frontwing outside of official social media accounts is me.  To be perfectly honest, it's a bit disheartening to me that people still think of us like the OP does, but in a way, that just means I'm not doing my job well enough, so I do apologize for that.
Lastly, (criticism of the pricing model and format of the H-scenes aside) while Corona Blossom may not be a genre-changing masterpiece, I think the reviews for Vol.1 on Steam and other sites show that at the very least the game doesn't "suck"!

Well I started learning Japanese just to read VNs and then at some point it kinda became like a personal goal.

If you really enjoy doing something you don't see it as a tedious task, like you said, once it became a hobby is just a fun thing to do, for instance like it would be learning to play an instrument, it takes a lot of time and effort but people don't feel or see it that way, learning is also part of the process and they are having fun while doing it. The same thing applies to learning a language not just Japanese.

Which endings do you consider "bad"? It's not that clear since there is a lot moral ambiguity.
To be honest, the good ending and the true ending had the biggest impact on me. I already wrote a 2000 words wall of text to @Deep Blue discussing the novel ^^, so I will make it short this time: Natsu no Kusari is by far the best eroge I've read in recent years.
Usually, I like short novels far better than the longer ones, simply because I can't stand filler material.

I started reading Inochi no Spare and it really offends me.
The story in that game doesn't make any sense. It's not just stupid, it's offendingly stupid. It's offending because it uses a real problem and uses it for cheap drama. It's offending because it assumes that the reader wants cheap drama without any substance.
You need to be intellectual retarded to actually care for the characters or the story. And that's offending because the theme of the game is far too serious to make light use of it.
The core theme of Inochi no Spare is that parents force their childs to give their lives for the older sibling. And that is just offending. It doesn't make any sense. No parent would do this. This is not a real existing problem in our society.
To compare it with the movie My Sister's Keeper which has a similar story: The mother would NEVER expect her child to die for her sister. NEVER. She expects her to help her sister, but not to die for her. That's a real existing moral dilemma. That makes sense. But the writer of Inochi no Spare tried to make the DRAMA more extreme and instead of just "helping" the sister she now needs to "die" for her. And that is just nonsense. It's offending. It's ridiculous that the writer and Akabei Soft 3 even thought that this would be a good idea. And that the reader would fall for this nonsense.
How socially retarded must one be to be emotionally involved in such a forced melodrama with no logic or real world resemblance? You really need to live in a 2D world to accept BS like this.
Well, I hate Akabei Soft 3 and all their games anyway, so this wasn't really a surprise for me. If there is one eroge company which stands for anything that is wrong with modern eroge, it's probably Akabei Soft 3. (And Silky's Plus close behind lol).

personally i found its bad endings to have been the little more satisfying ones. but yo, been a while since i lastly came across a main character whose personality was emotionally this weak. all in all natsu no kusari felt to me like a works straight out of the last decade´s beginning, or even prior to it, simply because of the apparent lack of such kind of content at present time, at least more good and believable written ones.

edit: now that i received the laptop of mine back from official site i´ve spontaniously decided on start reading ELF´s "Adult Video King", first voiced & commercial works the i has touched since "Pigeon Blood" & "Sankai Ou no Yubiwa"completely fucked up my mood until there was no more. so far AVK is quite entertaining and though i´m only a little further past its beginning plus not sure where the story as a whole is heading at, its rich and fleshed out cast, paired with a good chunk of humour is what keeps me going.
    - might halt AVK sometime in the middle and switch to reading DxD for abit only to continue the former afterwards, which doesnt mean AVK is/was a bad read, it´s more because of the current i having become unable of enjoying more long works of the same setting after reading them for a while, same for voiced ones, regardless of their quality.

pretty much this. it was fine as it was. period. while there are tons of stories out there featuring similar plotlines/ settings, the very vast majority of theirs almost always ended up in a mess, or has been nothing more than a bunch of hollow nukige from the beginning, regardless of possibly being 10times a more long read, and that is what i seriously appreciate coming to natsu no kusari, simply because it tells what it wants to, all without shying away from the borderline disgusting, delivers its essence straight into a readers mind and lastly because the work as a whole has a meaning to it, despite its overall shortness, which is furthermore complicated through a large number of ero content, a task not many authors are capable of pulling off successfully.

It is well written I agree. imo compared to euphoria it's a lot better. Because it doesn't have the 2nd part euphoria does. Which was lacking compared to the first part. One guy commented to me how kusari could be good when it's so short. Interesting question honestly. I think it didn't really need to be longer. It told what it wanted to tell. You could have added more stuff and such. But I think it's complete as it is. Few works can really say they've managed to do so.
As for the personality of the main character. I think. Mmm. He's weak no doubt about it. Considering how he doesn't find much meaning in life. In his mind doing this "colors the gray of his life" so to speak.. I think it's all rather sad. I felt rather sympathetic to him and appalled by him at the same time.

Recently completed Natsu no Kusari. Very short vn by clockup. Played it because I heard it was not a nukige, and yea. It isn't.
it's similar to euphoria, but different setting. Different people -different mental states and personalities. Interesting. Although disgusting/disturbing.
