    Visual Novel Translation Status (14/04/2024)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and because we have Corpse Party 2 along with Cherry Kiss nukige (Hentai Homewrecker) announced I decided to combine both so we have 'Homewrecker Party' for the title. As for this week, initially it's just another below average one, although turned out this week we have some very notable updates in regard of the release plan so overall this week is an average one to a degree. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
Once again Cherry Kiss announced their new nukige, Hentai Homewrecker, with the MC was roped into have NTR by the willing housewife. No much comment that I can mention other than it'll be released in two days (19th) later. We also have Team Gris Gris was turned out still active with them silently develop the real Corpse Party 2 (Not the fanfic game one), and the VN will be available sometimes in Autumn 2024 (Between October to December) later. Oh yes, it's also will be availble on PC, so you don't need to buy the console just to play this later. For the premise, it's like the first Corpse Party with the casts dragged into the otherworld with them must do their best to escape from the vengeful ghost, except this time all of the main casts are all female (We may have male side casts reveal later though) and the casts dragged into the otherworld from the abandoned hospital instead of the abandoned school.
This week we have both Sekai and Shiravune announced the nukige with summer theme. Sekai revealed that they've been working on Kurikuri Click with the MC was does his best at his job as oil masseuse with his task job is to rub the oil into the customer's body, which eventually lead to the sex scenes when the MC at one instance was going overboard when he got sexy woman customers. Anyway, it'll be available on May 3rd later. Shiravune also revealed they've been working on Nyonin Island with the MC was hired as the island manager, and then it's revealed the MC got nice job because turned out the island has no male before the MC came to the island, so normally the female turned to the MC to have sex. For the release time, Shiravune only list that it'll be on this year. Speaking of release time, Shiravune announce the exact release date for both Mashiro Iro with said date is May 2nd, so keep the date in mind if you've been waiting for Mashiro Iro in English for some times.
From fan translation, we have Taima Seiko Alice is at 35% edited along with 10% proofreading, ChuSingura is at 42.22% translated, Akagoei 3 is at 56.28% edited, and Ushieta is past halfway (50.8%) translated with Nagisa's route is at 28.4% translated. Other than regular updates, we also have Sampaguita release, and from what I understand its the third game of Yarudora series with the MC encounter the amnesiac girl Maria who is from Philippine and carrying a gun, which tipped the MC that Maria is involving in something dangerous. Note that the patch is for PSP version, so you need PSP emulator to play it. We also have Loverable translator announce they'll release it in August later after working on it for eight years, although for now it's still up in the air. Last but not the least, we have Daybreak announce the exact release date for Yuzuki's patch release, and it'll be in 26th later so let's see if Daybreak can finally release the last patch for Ginharu at that date.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

    Visual Novel Translation Status (07/04/2024)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. For the title, because we have Tengoku Struggle with the female MC being the step daughter of King Enma tasked to return the prisoners from Hell, I decided to make the parody of the old anime Yu Yu Hakusho with it has the son of King Enma as one of the major character by changing 'Ghost' in its direct translated title (Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files) into 'Prisoners', so we have 'Yu Yu Hakusho: Prisoner Files' as the title. As for this week, we have several releases which to be frank not really interesting to me. Another thing to note is that finally Ninetail announce their timeline for Ragnarok Kickstarter, and ironically it's the most interesting news in this week. Overall, this week is another below average week and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
Aksys did release Tengoku Struggle, and for the premise we have female MC Rin who is the step daughter of King Enma tasked to return all of the escaped prisoners that suppose to face their punishment. In order to have good chance to successfully capture the prisoners, Rin enlist the help from Goemon and several others handsome prisoners to do her job, and obviously we'll going to see the romance blossom between Rin and one of her helper. Go get Tengoku Struggle if you have Switch and want to play it, and have fun. Dramatic Create announce they'll localize Nie no Machi along with it's fandisc, and from what I see Nie no Machi is BL VN with the MC is stranded in the world of between the living and the death. For the release time, the main game will be released in this year and the fandisc will be released in 2025. Also there'll be PC version as well, so you didn't need to buy Switch if you want to play this.
Shiravune released Holy Slave Academy, and well no much to say other than it's old nukige with the MC was the teacher who tasked to mold his student into the sex slave by using any means. Speaking of nukige, Cherry Kiss also suddenly released their nukige back in April 1st, and it's about the MC who has his own bunny suddenly transform into the girl which of course will have a lot of sex with the MC. Ninetail announce the time for their Ragnarok Kickstarter, and they say the KS will start some times in May later. Ninetail also mention some difficulties in regard of their upcoming KS, such as no gameplay demo thanks to the engine issue, the increased shipping price because of the rising cost, and the increased price for one of the pledge.
For fan translation, we have Taima Seiko Alice is at 30% edited, Akagoei 3 is at 53.37% edited, ChuSingura is at 41.91% translated, and Ushieta is at 44.9% translated with Airi's route is fully translated. For Ushieta here, obviously this is quite big achievement seeing the old project was stopped at 35% translated, so good job to the translator for finishing Airi's route. Anyway, now that Airi's route is fully translated, the translator planned to working on Nagisa's route next.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
PS - I know there's some significant update in regard of Ginharu, and I decided to save the talk for next VNTS Review.

    Visual Novel Translation Status (31/03/2024)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and for the title because we finally have Sekai released ReLord 3 with the sub title '~The demon lord of Groessen and the final witch~', I made the parody with I change 'Groessen' into 'Toyotoki' (From Ihanashi no Majo English title, Tales from Toyotoki) and 'the final witch' into 'the songstress' with songstress part come from one of Venus Blood Hollow fandisc title 'The Dragon Songstress'. Anyway, for this week initially I thought it would be a plain one, but near the end of the month there are several sudden release along with Mangagamer finally do another updates. Overall, this week to me is more or less a below average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
We have a new publisher called Ramune Games about to release their debut work, LingerieS, with the premise the trap MC was assigned to take care of the lingerie shop that his twin sister take care of while said sister have some other business for the whole two months. From what I see, apparently it's another single heroine VN, and looking from the number of the side heroine we may have more parts available later. In any case, the plan is to release the VN in this year later. Ramune Games itself is the branch company of the developer who usually made nukige, so we may have 18+ patch for this. Speaking of this year release, we finally have Ihanashi no Majo English language support for Steam with the support will be available on Autumn later (The Switch version will be available on this Summer).
It's interesting if not funny on how both Ninetail and Sekai decided to do sudden release for both of their VN, and it's good for the latter now that they have one less title to worry about. No much comment on Venus Blood Hollow fandisc other than it'll focused on the dragon sibling (Julia and Liese) who will received a lot of love from Leon's trusted tentacles, and feel free to play if you want more of Hollow (I'm still waiting for Ragnaro's KS). Sekai did suddenly released ReLord 3rd, and with it they finally done with ReLord trilogy. For the premise of ReLord 3, we have the demon lord MC finally almost done to liberate his territory from the witches, although obviously the MC still need to face the hard fight seeing now he need to deal with two enemies at once. Go get ReLord 3 if you've been waiting for the release before playing the trilogy, and have fun. We also have Shiravune announced the exact release date for (Redundant) Taimanin Yukikaze, with said date is 30th later.
Once again, this week we have Mangagamer's updates. As for the updates, we have Hana Awase PC port is in progress, Funbag Fantasy 4 is at 80% translated along with 78% edited, Rance 03 is at 73% translated, Rance X is finally reached 90% mark translated, Sex Open World is also passed 90% mark translated (92%) along with 86% edited, and Ixseal is at 84% translated along with 81% edited. Honestly I only care for Ixseal here, but it's good to see that Rance X finally almost finished its translation work with X has a very big amount of text. Lastly for fan translation, we have Akagoei 3 is past halfway (50.05%) edited, Ryouken After is past halfway (55.58%) translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at a quarter edited, and ChuSingura is at 41.53% translated with Chapter 2 is past three quarter (76.43%) translated.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

    Visual Novel Translation Status (24/03/2024)
Welcome to this week VNTS Reviews, and for the title I'll tell it in PS. As for this week, compared to the last one we have several updates, so in theory this should be interesting week. That said, those updates are not quite interesting to me for the most part, but it still worth to note anyway. So overall this week is an almost average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
Shinzou Translation released Nagi no Koi on last Sunday. For the VN itself, I knew that it has two love stories with one of the story has amnesiac MC, while the other story has the MC find his happiness in the arranged marriage after he failed yo become the lord in his territory, and I also knew the team got the approval from the developer to work on this. Feel free to get Nagi no Koi of you're interested, and have fun. For the rest of fan translation updates, we have Akagoei 3 is at 48.12% translated, Majikoi Ryouken After is at 46.19% translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at 20% edited, and Ushieta is at 35.6% translated with Airi's route is past halfway (55.7%) translated.
HuneX announced they currently will release Steam Prison FD within this year, and as the bonus there'll be English version of it with Mangagamer responsible for the translation work. No much to say other than it's nice that it's also will be available on PC. We also have PQube announce new Memories Off, SINce Memories, with the most important thing is it'll be available in English, which mean it's the first Memories Off VN in English. To elaborate, Memories Off series is the series of charage by KID, and Never7 slice of life writing is obviously influenced by Memories Off series with the sci-fi plot appear near the end. For the release time, it's still unknown when PQube will do it. That said, I know the artist is the one who work on Aonatsu Line and Yukiiro Sign (Also Aquatope anime), and I immediately recognize her style when I saw the announcement.
Aniplex announce their newest VN, Tanetsumi no Uta, with them will release it in this year. For it's premise, it's about the 16 years old young girl Misuzu who's going to the adventure to face True Winter with Misuzu's late mother in her youth, Misuzu's future daughter, and Misuzu's stillborn little brother. Aniplex also announced the exact release date for their (Redundant) Tsukihime Remake Part 1, and it'll be on June 27th later. It's too bad there's no PC version announcement of this, although it may took a year to work on it just like Mahoyo.
Shiravune finally announced the exact release date for Kara no Shoujo 2, and it'll be on April 19th later. What I can say is the release are mostly redundant since we already have the translation for Kara no Shoujo 2 since 2015 thanks to Mangagamer. If anything else, at least Innocent Grey made the trial (Which is very different from the main story) as the Prologue in the new version that Shiravune took. Lastly, they also announce Shukusei no Girlfriend 2 which is inevitable if we see Criminal Border. The sequel here put the focus on the new girl to focus is Maja, although she's not exactly new with here appear in the first part as the magical girl who antagonize the MC. No idea of the exact release date for this, but Shiravune listed Q2 2024 (ie at most June 30th) as the estimation time, and let's hope there won't be any complication before the release.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
PS - Since we have new VN announcement with the artist herself worked on Yukiiro Sign, I made the parody of Sherlock Holmes 'The Sign of the Four' with I changed 'Four' into 'Two' because we have Kara no Shoujo 2 exact release date announcement, which is very fitting seeing both of Sherlock Holmes and Reiji (Kara no Shoujo MC) are detectives.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Fake Ragnarok at 4 AM Review
Since we have Ninetail planned the Kickstarter for Venus Blood Ragnarok along with a fan released the less known VN with the title 'Fake World's End at 4 AM', I decided to make the parody for the later by changing 'World's End' into 'Ragnarok' so we have 'Fake Ragnarok at 4 AM', which is quite fitting because Ragnarok is known as the big war happening when the world is about to end according to Norse mythology. Anyway, for this week, let's just say that it's too bad that Steam decided to ban Tenshi Reboot which obviously cause the delay. Also yes I knew Nekonyan had done harsh but necessary action towards Sakuramoyu project, but it's still rough for Nekonyan to suddenly face the setback, so yeah overall I felt unpleasant to both incidents. My feeling for this week situation aside, overall what I can say about this week it would be another below average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
Once again Steam decided to ban Tenshi Reboot, which mean Steam didn't bother to change their policy to their random banning, although seeing that it got its job done for years perhaps Valve know there's no point to change the system. To be fair though, its not the fault of Valve alone, but rather one of the reviewer who randomly tasked to reviewing Tenshi Reboot. Also to be fair, there are several questionable image even on the Steam build, so of course the random reviewer probably just banned it as the response of him being panic. Anyway, for now Nekonyan decided to ask for Hikari Field help to resubmit the build to Valve, so it will take a while before Tenshi Reboot ready for Steam release. Wake-Up Call in form of Tenshi Reboot ban aside, at least we have Nekonyan manage to have Irotoridori finally ready to be released with they'll release it on February 16th later, so feel free to note the date if you've been waiting for very long time (At most 12 years).
Cherry Kiss manage to release their newest nukige, and I only know that it has aunt heroine looking from the title alone. Idea Factory announce they'll localize the newest Date A Live VN (Ren Dystopia), and they stated it'll be available sometimes in this year. Speaking of announcement, PQube announced they'll release Konosuba VN on February 8th later. From fan translation, we have Akagoei 3 is at 81.95% translated along with 10.14% edited, Nagi no Koi is at 45% translated along with 20% edited and the assets has been 30% worked on, and ChuSingura is at 37.08% translated. For the release, actually Fake World's End at 4 AM is from the last week, but I forgot to write about it. From what I can see, apparently it's about the MC who entrusted the mysterious egg by the mysterious girl Feni who tell the story about fake apocalypse by God at 4 AM morning, and it has a big number of cameo from the developer previous VNs. Go get the VN if you didn't mind the pixel art, and have fun.
I admit that at first I didn't look at Venus Blood Ragnarok favorably, mostly because it's the sequel of Frontier with the VN ended satisfyingly. That said, like Evenicle 2 my feeling can be changed, and so I'm look forward to the KS that Ninetail will do later. For Ragnarok itself, it's about the world after Loki united the world (Obviously with a lot of help from the tentacle). Five hundred years later, Loki was disappeared and Odin was passed away, so the political condition become chaotic with the faction that favor anyone with strong divine blood got rid anyone who have dominant demon blood, with one of those people is the MC Vali. Some times later, Vali met a boy who introduce himself as Loki, and Loki offer Vali his wealth of knowledge and tactic to help Vali which he accept. No idea when the KS will start, although most likely it'll be started around March when they released Venus Blood Hollow fandisc later.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Saving Private Hinako Review
    Visual Novel Translation Status (17/03/2024)
For this week title, because we have Shiravune localized redundant NTR VN with Steam title 'Saving Mrs. Hinako', I just make a parody of Saving Private Ryan movie with I changed 'Ryan' into 'Hinako', and obviously Hinako's setting is not the private in military like Ryan. Anyway as for this week, turned out Shiravune has new announcements in which it's quite an interesting one to a degree, namely Amanatsu. So with that, overall this week is an almost plain one and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
Like I say beforehand Shiravune did release a redundant NTR VN with the full uncensored title 'Saving Mrs. Hinako with My Cock', which obviously mean the MC will have a lot of sex with the titular Hinako. I did say redundant is because we already have the fan translation of this back in 2021, although honestly I didn't pay much attention to it back when it's released at that year. For the premise of the VN itself, we have the MC who find out his childhood crush Hinako has already moved on and have a daughter. At first the MC felt very hopeless now that his crush has move on without him, although knowing that Hinako's marriage is not exactly a happy one with her husband do his best to cheat from Hinako as much as possible, the MC decided to take the action to take Hinako from her husband, which including have sex with her. Note that Shiravune did use the new translation instead of the available fan translation, so fell free to pick whichever translation you prefer.
For this week fan translation updates, we have ChuSingura is at 40.83% translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at 15% edited, Akagoei 3 is at 37.62% edited, and Ushieta is at 28% translated with Airi's route is at 18.9% translated. We also have the big progress from Konosora Snow Present, with the most recent status is it has been fully edited and the team will tackle the image editing before compile the final patch.
Last but not the least, we have Shiravune's new announcement, Amanatsu which is quite an interesting one. The reason on why I say it is because it's bigger title from Azarashi Soft which usually has better graphic, and doubly so considering so far we only have smaller title from Azarashi. With now Shiravune announced Amanatsu, at least now we know on who has better chance to finally pick the most well known Azarashi Soft VN, Amakano series. For Amanatsu, while it's very obvious that it has good graphic, the other notable one is the writer of the VN is Hayase Yuu, who as we know wrote several comedy VNs for Smee, so we can expect the comedy that usually available in Smee VNs on Amanatsu. For the release date, this time Shiravune decided to be secretive about it, although if Mangagamer placeholder date (July 31st) is any indication, we may have Amanatsu available within this year (2024) so let's wait and see here.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Liminal Nine 2nd Episode: Kotoko Tenshigawara Review
    Visual Novel Translation Status (10/03/2024)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. For the title, because we have Criminal Border 2nd Part release and it has same core staffs (Writer and director) as Nine series, once again I make the parody of Nine series by adding 'Liminal' (From Criminal Border Steam version name) in front of it. Also, the full name of 2nd Part heroine is Kotoko Tenshigawara, so I use her name as the subtitle. As for this week, the most obvious highlight is Shiravune just released Criminal Border 2nd Part. That said, there's a big surprise from fan translation section, namely we have Frisay Studio (The translation team behind Imaimo and H2O) decided to tackle another translation project with the VN they translate is Ushieta. Overall, I guess this week is slightly better compared to the last one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
I did mention that Sekai has some problem when it come to bring their big title, although turned out they can still bring some updates. That said, unfortunately the updates are not in regard of their bigger title, but instead it focused on two of their shorter VNs, Sheol and Nekonin ExHeart Spin, with both of the updates are listed as waiting for build on top being fully translated and edited (Also additionally the QA work on Sheol is already 40% done). Well, I can only say that at least Nekonin has good graphic like usual, and Sekai tried to do their best to release new title despite their own problem.
From fan translation, we have ChuSingura is at 40.64% translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at 10% translated, Majikoi Ryouken After is at 23.96% translated, and Akagoei 3 is at 33.96% edited along with 7.42% in QA. There's also an update in regard of Ginharu, which can be summed as the hacker just manage to have time to work on it with the estimated release time is April at the earliest. To elaborate more, turned out the staffs is just finished do the final QA passes for both of Mizuha and Yuzuki routes, and right now they preparing to do the playtesting (Think like testing in Mangagamer's usual updates). Like I say beforehand, Ushieta was picked up by Frisay Studio after it's been dropped back in 2018 by the older translator, and so far the progress is quite well with it's been past a quarter (25.4%) translated. Oh yes, there's also Otogirisou release, and I only know it's 1992 horror VN for SNES in which it popularized sound novel format with it has no character sprites.
Lastly, we have Criminal Border 2nd Part. While obviously we know that it's the continuation of the first part, unlike Nine in which it has little sister heroine Sora, in here we have Kotoko as the heroine with her is the daughter of the prominent yakuza leader. Also unlike Nine series in which each part is some sort of alternative continuation, Criminal Border is the linear story, so the second part here is the continuation from the first part ending. In second part here, after the MC and their friend got into crippling debt with yakuza after doing their best selling the electronic drug, they have no choice except to turn to Kotoko, with the hope that she being the daughter of the yakuza leader may be able to help the group to be free from the debt. No much to say here other than go get Criminal Border 2nd Part if you've been waiting since 1st Part ending and didn't mind the remaining two untranslated upcoming parts, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Sakura Moonchild Review
    Visual Novel Translation Status (03/03/2024)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. As for the title, because we have Lunaria release at the last week along with Sakura Isekai Adventure release (With Winged Cloud realize that they should make it as GL VN with female MC), I combined both so we have 'Sakura Moonchild' as the title with 'Moonchild' is from Lunaria full title, Lunaria -Virtualized Moonchild-. For this week, one thing for sure is that it's calmer week compared to the last one. That said, it still has some updates, with the notable one is the new VN from Frontwing. Overall, this week is a below average one, and let's see what I can write about it.
Idea Factory released Sympathy Kiss, and this time they do it by themselves instead of asking Aksys Games (They keep released the otome game for Switch only though). For the premise of Sympathy Kiss, we have a female app designer was suddenly tasked to rebuilding the new app that was about to be terminated. As if the MC problem is not enough, she was tasked to work with several handful handsome men, although this may be a boon for the MC seeing that she can end up together with one of the handsome co-worker. Go get Sympathy Kiss if you want it, and have fun. Speaking of otome VN, we also have a new one called Ryuusei Fantasia with the premise is the female MC was tasked as the producer (Like in Idolmaster) of the idol group which consist 14 handsome male idol. The most notable thing is that it'll be available sometimes in this year, and more importantly there's PC version planned so you didn't need to buy Switch just to play Ryuusei Fantasia later. Oh yes, we also have Shiravune announced the exact release date for Holy Slave Academy, and it'll be on April 2nd later.
For this week fan translation, we have ChuSingura is at 40.24% translated with Chapter 2 is at 71.64% translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at 5% edited, and Akagoei 3 is at 30.7% edited along with 0.82% in QA. There's also the big update in Majikoi Ryouken After, with the current progress is at 17% translated. Note that Daybreak change the way to note the progress in Ryouken After from script file count into percentage, and for the info if we keep using the script file count it would be equal to 7 out of 17 script files translated.
For new VN from Frontwing, it's called Lilja and Natsuka: Painting Lies with them will release it on June 6th later. While it looks like GL VN from the first glance, it's still too early to tell. What I know is that the writer is the one who wrote euphoria which as we know is quite disturbing. Anyway, the story of the VN is goes like there's two female who consist of blind painter (Lilja) and her assistant (Natsuka), and both of them apparently have some kind of dark past that they want to move on from. Note that Frontwing already provided the Steam store page of it along with both Lilja and Natsuka have anime VAs ,so at least we can be sure there won't be disturbing sex scenes like in euphoria.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
  10. Love
littleshogun got a reaction from Kajahara for a blog entry, Frozen Capital of the Dead Review
Because we have Tokyo Necro release with he VN has a lot of zombie and fighting against it, I figure that I should make a parody of a manga with similar premise, Highschool of the Dead (Which sadly can never be finished because of the author's passing), by changing 'Highschool' into 'Frozen Capital', so we have 'Frozen Capital of the Dead' as the title. For the info, the kanji 'To' in Tokyo Necro Japanese is meant 'ice', which is different for the kanji 'To' that usually used to write Tokyo in Japanese (Said 'To' kanji itself meant 'east'). As for this week, with a bunch of new title and releases, I can say that this is an exciting one, especially with both of Tokyo Necro and Walkure Romanze Mio's patch releases. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
Cherry Kiss will release another nukige Sex x Hex on 31st later, and I can say that it involving the prince MC will have a lot of sex with the sisters of three with those three are the witches. Speaking of release announcement, Mangagamer also announced that they'll release Lkyt on April 20th later. Sekai did release both of Kanojo no Seiiki and Slobbish Dragon Princess 3, and I suppose I can say that both VNs are quite good graphically wise, especially with the latter in that another VN from the same company (Unless Terminalia) won Best Graphic category in Getchu 2022 awards. For the premise, Kanojo no Seiiki is about the MC who is encounter his tsundere childhood friend through some dramatic event, and for Slobbish Dragon 3 the lazy MC did encounter yet another sexy dragon. Well go get both if you interested with those, and with this now we have Sekai's backlog slightly thinned out.
Ninetail had a new surprise license, and said license is Soushin no Ars Magna in that they already had the release date on 31st later. It's interesting to note that Ninetail didn't use their usual partner JAST to help with the localization, but instead they ask a less known publisher to do so. For Soushin Magna itself, from what I see it's about the MC who study alchemy in a world where the man-made Goddess Soushin gone mad and causing chaos. I only know that the gameplay might be not too good according to mod Clephas, so I might need to lower my expectation on this. Other than Ninetail, we also have Shiravune announced that they licensed Kunado Kokuki (Proving that Purple Software indeed very flexible when it come to localization partner) with the exact release date will be on April 7th later. It's also interesting to note that Kunado Kokuki managed to be in Steam, which mean that Purple Software did indeed change a lot of things in order to had it on Steam.
For fan translation updates, right now we have ChuSingura is at 19.73% translated, H2O is at 24.2% edited, Senmomo is at 92.56% edited with side stories is at 73.97% edited, 4 out of 56 script files for Bishoujo Mangekyou 4 are translated, Koiyasumi ia at 72.72% translated along with past a quarter (26.39%) edited, and Akagoei FD is at 9.2% in QA. For the aforementioned Walkure Romanze Mio's patch release, it should be obvious that the patch will translate Mio's route along with Common, Celia, and Lisa routes. With Mio's patch release, all that left is to finishing the work on Noel's route in which currently it's at 70% translated/edited, and I'll call Walkure Romanze full translation patch as Noel's patch. That's all for fan translation updates.
The biggest release of this week is obviously Tokyo Necro. While it's another Nitroplus VN, of course we shouldn't expect this as another Muramasa, but rather expect it as another Gekkou no Carnevale (Same writer and all) with action that was shown in 3D. For the premise, in 2199 the world has experience another ice age (Thus the reason on why kanji 'To' in Tokyo Necro mean ice) on top still reeling from both the aftermath of the big war and the worst pandemic. To make it worse, there's several people who animate the corpse into zombies, and such people are called Necromancer. Our male MC Sooun and female MC Ethica are belonged in an organization that hunt the Necromancer, and the VN itself was started by their mission to hunt one of those. I should mentioned that Ethica is only like female and she never have sex scene with male, so we can say that Tokyo Necro here is half GL VN lol. Go get Tokyo Necro if you've been waiting for it, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from Duckery for a blog entry, A Midsummer Magician's Night Review - Top 10 Best Rated Visual Novels Translated in 2022
In 2022, the pandemic was starting to subside, so after two years of absence, we finally had conventions with several new VNs translation announcements. Of course, we still have translated VN releases, so I'll list the best-rated translated VNs in 2022. Once again, I may be subjective, so I'm sorry if some of your favorite VNs are not here, and feel free to disagree with my choice. Anyway, let's see the best translated VNs in 2022 that I chose here, and of course, the rank and the score can change in the future. For the scores, I'll use today's (April 8th, 2024) scores for each VN.
For honorable mentions of 2022, I'll name Kamidanomi Shisugite Ore no Mirai ga Yabai (VNDB 7.13), Hatsuru Koto Naki Mirai Yori (VNDB 7.26), and Ren'ai x Royale (VNDB 7.01). That's all for 2022 honorable mentions.
    10. Evenicle 2 (VNDB 7.41)
There's a drama behind the Evenicle 2 release because of the censorship on the trial version that removes the first sex scene. The censorship is not much help to add this on Steam anyway, thanks to a random ban from Valve. For the game, I thought it was an unnecessary sequel at first. However, after I played the trial, I found myself liking this. Of course, most people would understandably see this as inferior compared to the prequel, especially with no changes in the gameplay besides the healing system and skill gain, which are not much better than the prequel. For the premise, Alex, an apprentice doctor in a world with a deadly pandemic, heard the news of a beautiful girl getting sick. Because he's as pervert as Aster (the prequel MC), Alex starts to examine the patient, which leads him to discover that he can cure the beautiful female patient through sexual intercourse thanks to his hidden ability (I'm not making up the premise). After seeing the effect of the treatment, Alex concluded that his ability might be the key to eradicating the pandemic. Then he went to get his doctor's license, and while on the trip, he found himself treating several more beautiful female patients.
    9. Ouchi ni Kaeru made ga Mashimaro Desu (VNDB 7.43)
After Shiravune localized both Primal Hearts and Study Steady, they went to localized one more VN from Marmalade, Mashimaro (released in 2017), so currently, we have four VNs from Marmalade that are translated (including Primal Hearts 2). In Mashimaro, our MC, Ryou, becomes homeless after being chased out of his house and forced to sleep in the park. One day, he met with a friendly, beautiful girl who fed him sweets and then introduced herself as Kanon. Being grateful, Ryou followed Kanon to her bakery, Marshmallow Tree, which was almost out of business because of a change in the opening hour and the arrival of a famous competitor nearby. As the responsible person, Ryou returned the favor by helping Kanon revitalize Marshmallow Tree by working as a part-timer there. It turned out that he was pretty competent, so he managed to make Marshmallow Tree successful quickly. Even though Kanon is the apparent main heroine (as shown in the beginning), Ryou can date another girl besides her. While Mashimaro here has a sweet and lighthearted story, it also has several lengthy sex scenes in the heroine's routes.
    8. Otome * Domain (VNDB 7.49)
Shiravune manages to localize the Otome Domain, in that it's one of the known trap VN besides Otoboku and Tsuki no Yorisou. By the way, I added this based on my interest in the VN with trap MC. While the VNDB lists the connection with Boku to Koi Suru Ponkotsu Akuma (Koikuma), it's only for the trial version. But, since the heroines are the same as in Koikuma for being useless, we may call this Koikuma with the young ladies. In Otome Domain, we have the MC, Minato, who recently lost his grandmother, leaving him alone. At the funeral, a young lady, Kazari, offers Minato to take care of his needs. Said offer included enrolling Minato into the school that Kazari runs as the board chairwoman. However, Minato must cross-dress as a girl since the school is an all-girls school, and he manages to look as good as a girl, much to his dismay. After coming into the school, Minato finds out that Kazari has some quirk that makes her useless, and his dormmates also have some quirks that make them problematic. Having no choice, Minato decides to take care of their problem, which makes him ironically more feminine than the girls who enrolled in the school.
    7. Cafe Stella to Shinigami no Chou (VNDB 7.56)
Yuzusoft finally decided to make a VN revolve around a cafe after featuring it several times in their previous VNs with Cafe Stella. When Cafe Stella was about to be released in Japan, Yuzusoft provided several 4-Koma videos featuring each heroine (including the side one). Said videos have English captions, which should indicate that Cafe Stella will be localized. Sure enough, Nekonyan announced they'd localize Cafe Stella in 2020 before finally releasing it last March as the 5th officially translated Yuzusoft VN (which includes Parquet even though it is just the experimental work). For the premise, we have our MC Kousei encounter a cute grim reaper, Kanna, after he somehow turned back into the past because of an accident that supposedly killed him, and Kanna tells Kousei that he's still not free from his grim fate yet. So Kousei decided to accept Kanna's offer to help her, with him having worked with Kanna to open the titular Cafe Stella. The story of Cafe Stella combines the supernatural (Kanna and her grim reaper work) and slice-of-life (obviously the cafe). Lastly, I can say that the waitress uniform looks nice, with the color scheme resembling the waitress uniform in Blend S.
    6. Hello Lady (VNDB 7.62)
I admit that my initial interest in Hello Lady was because of the VAs, of which two, Eri Sendai and Yamamura Hibiku, were voicing Precure. Even without looking at those VAs, the VN is already well known. Many people wish to have this VN translated, although no company was willing to get the license until Nekonyan announced this in 2018. Afterward, it took more than 40 months before the release because the developer, Akatsuki Works, needed time to develop the engine for the complete edition (which includes the FD and an additional ending from the PSV version). After a long wait, we have Hello Lady release in January 2022. For the premise, we have Narita, who has been invited to The Academy as a transfer student by the chairman, rescue the kidnapped student council president Saku while also deciding to be daring by grabbing Saku's breast. Of course, Saku was furious about that, especially with Narita joining the council. While initially Narita is presented as a breast lover, actually Narita himself has come to the school with his hidden goal in mind, and he may find himself finding out that there's something more regarding his said goal.
    5. Amatsutsumi (VNDB 7.82)
For some reason, Valve banned Amatsutsumi on Steam, thus making Sekai need to delay the release for a while before finally releasing it on the other platforms. While we can think of several reasons why Valve banned this, such as high school settings and the MC (Makoto) having sex with more than one girl, only Valve can answer that. In Amatsutsumi, we have Makoto, who lives in an isolated village and is already engaged. He wanted to set the journey to see the outside world because of his intense longing, so he started to do so. But then, he collapsed in the nearby town because he didn't prepare enough before leaving the village. After being saved by a passerby, Kokoro, Makoto uses his power to brainwash Kokoro through a word to make her think of Makoto as Kokoro's older brother. Then, Makoto decided to live with Kokoro's family as the first step to living as a regular human instead of someone with superpowers. Some days after, Makoto encounters a girl, Hotaru, who is immune to his power. After talking with Hotaru, Makoto promises to help the other by using his power. He will do so with all the heroines, who each have their circumstances.
    4. Chaos Head Noah (VNDB 7.96)
Technically, this is a redundant release because we already have the Chaos Head translation patch from 2009, and Noah is mostly the same. That said, the developer added some new content, such as routes and a new opening, so we can consider it a new release despite several problems with the English releases, such as the ban by Valve before it got revoked and a high number of bugs. This release is significant as Noah is the very first VN of the Science Adventure series, and with this, now we have all translated Science Adventure VN available on Steam. For the premise, we have our loser MC Nishijou Takumi, an otaku who rarely leaves his room on the rooftop except to go to school occasionally. One day, he heard a rumor that a serial murder had happened around his premises in Shibuya. Since Nitroplus developed the original Chaos Head, the murders were very disturbing. After somehow stumbling upon one of the serial murder sites, Takumi encounters a cute girl with a lot of blood on her body, and naturally, he's frightened. After that, one way or another, Takumi finds himself in the middle of a serial murder case, which leads him to get dragged into it.
    3. Tokeijikake no Ley Line -Asagiri ni Chiru Hana- (VNDB 8.17)
Compared to the 51-month gap between the Tokeijikake trilogy's first and second part releases, the second and last part releases are only eight months apart. It helps that Sekai and the developer had already ironed out the buggy engine by the time the second part was available last March, so they didn't need to wait too long to release the whole trilogy. As for the premise of the entire trilogy, it started with our MC Koga attending the mysterious magical school located in a remote area. Sometime after entering the school, Koga accidentally breaks a quite expensive statue. Unfortunately, Koga has no money to compensate for it. To have Koga take responsibility for the broken statue, the principal paired him with the head of the Bureau for the Investigation of Special Affairs, Ushio (the main heroine of the Tokeijikake trilogy). Said Bureau is responsible for investigating magic-related incidents in the school, and eventually, the Bureau would investigate the massive incident in the last part. Since both Koga and Ushio here are pretty stubborn, the meeting between those two ended in bad blood. Of course, both of them would develop their relationship throughout the trilogy.
    2. Hakuchuumu no Aojashin (VNDB 8.53)
Around the time when the English version of Aojashin was released, several headache-inducing shenanigans happened. Those shenanigans are the writer's "smooth" way of addressing the censorship critic, the license problem for another Laplacian VN, and the setting change for the high school student heroine into a college student. While the English version here obviously didn't have 18+ contents because of the censorship, thankfully, a fan team worked hard to restore the removed contents and revert the change for the school student heroine. In Aojashin, we have a combination of Fata Morgana and Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V. The latter is because Laplacian used their previous VNs setting into Aojashin here, and ARC V did the same. Story-wise, it's closer to Fata Morgana because it and Aojashin have three initial stories/cases that converge into one main arc. Other similarities are that both have white-haired girls involved in the story, and that's where the similarities end. Unlike in Fata Morgana, where you start from the first story, in Aojashin, you'll randomly start in one of three initial cases. For the video, I'll use the Case 0 opening because Case 0 is the main arc of Aojashin itself.
    1. Mahoutsukai no Yoru (VNDB 8.64)
After watching Evangelion, a man was getting inspiration to write a novel. However, the publisher rejected the novel because of its length. Some years later, after the man had been successful with Fate/Stay Night, he revisited his old novel. Yes, that man is Kinoko Nasu, and his old novel is Mahoyo with the full title Mahoutsukai no Yoru (literally translated as "A Magician's Night"). For the premise, we have Aoko (who, as we know, is Shiki's teacher in Tsukihime) suddenly chosen to become the head of a magician family, so naturally, she's underprepared. To prepare herself, she lives with the young witch Alice in her mansion to get some magic lessons. After some time, Aoko's classmate, Soujuurou, witnesses the duo using magic. Seeing no other choice, they force Soujuurou to live in the mansion. While the premise sounds like a slice-of-life story (and to be fair, it is), being a Type-Moon VN, there will be some battles with beautiful effects. Initially, Nasu planned Mahoyo to be the trilogy. But seeing that Nasu is still busy with FGO and promised to work on the sequels after he finishes with the Tsukihime remake (which only has the first half released in August 2021), it better not expect the sequels to be released soon.
Overall, 2022 still has some good releases, even though they're not as big as 2021. That said, I felt that some of the exciting releases concentrated on the fan discs, which, while it's not bad per se, I would prefer to see more exciting releases for the main title here. Anyway, now that we're in 2023 here, I hope we see more nice releases, especially from Nekonyan. Of course, I still want to see if JAST can keep their release pace, even with them sometimes releasing the Remaster of their old VNs. Lastly, while I don't know if I can look forward to Mangagamer and Sekai's new title, I hope they can release some interesting VNs.
PS - Since we have William Shakespeare in Aojashin, I allude to his play, A Midsummer Night's Dream, by changing "Night's Dream" into "Magician's Night" (because Mahoyo release), so we have "A Midsummer Magician's Night" as the title.

littleshogun got a reaction from Pallas_Raven for a blog entry, Cruel Sorcerer Thesis Review
    Visual Novel Translation Status (11/12/2022)
Since we have Mahoyo release and that our Nasu was inspired by Evangelion when he wrote it, may as well make the reference to the Evangelion opening song title Cruel Angel Thesis with I changed 'Angel' into 'Sorcerer' so we have 'Cruel Sorcerer Thesis' as this week VNTS Review title. Also while I know that the official translation is 'Witch of the Holy Night', I felt that 'Sorcerer' here may be the most appropriate translation for 'Mahoutsukai', at least according to the article from Japanese with Anime (Also yes I already check the Japanese terms). The title aside, as for this week at least I can say that this is an interesting one compared to the last week especially with Mahoyo release, although personally speaking I'm more interested with Shiravune's plan to release Otome Domain. Overall with Mahoyo release and several updates I think this week is quite interesting, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
Other than Mahoyo actually we also have two releases, and what I can say those releases are more or less full of passion because those releases are nukige. The first one is Cherry Kiss VN Knocking Up my Nympho Neighbors in that it has the premise exactly as the translated title said, in that the MC will has a lot of passionate love making with the big breasted neighbors because they're quite tired after long days of works with our MC job is to calmed down through the neighbors' mind with sex (What else). Anyway go get Cherry Kiss nukige if you're interested with it and have fun. The second release is fan translated Oppai no Ouja 48, and from what I understand it's the nukige about breast obsessed MC who somehow gain access to participate in a matching breast game with the prize is to have sex with the breast's owner if the MC find out the matching breast. At least the graphic is quite good I suppose, and feel free to try the VN if you're interested with it.
For fan translation updates, we have Chronos is at 60% proofread, Akagoei FD was fully translated (I know that Daybreak was mentioned the plan to translate Virgin Road (ie Tsujidou's FD), although I won't count on it yet), Senmomo is at 81.27% edited with Chapter 6 is at 71.58% edited, ChuSingura is at 16.79% translated, H2O is at 62.9% translated with Yui's route is at 34.6% translated, and Licia's chapter of Eustia is at 94.25% in programming which bring the overall progress is at 98.92% in programming. Oh yes we also have some updates from JAST, although said updates are in the Discord though. For the updates, we have Onigokko FD was fully translated and editing and about to entering QA along with Tokyo Hero Project was fully translated.
Shiravune did announce that they'll release Otome Domain on 22nd later, and I should say that out of recent Shiravune recent announcement I find that it's the most interesting announcement, especially because I've been waiting for the VNs that has trap MC and female heroines in which so far the only translated one are Otoboku and Heart de Roomate (To be blunt I don't like the latter graphic). Otome Domain itself is from Palette instead of ensemble (At one time I thought that it's another ensemble VN because they usually specialized on trap VN), so yeah the art is still good even with Tsubasu didn't design the characters in Otome Domain. While there's Bokukotsu cameo in there, turned out that it's only for trial version so don't expect Bokukotsu cameo in the full version later. That said Otome Domain here is basically still has same set up as Bokukotsu anyway, with one MC (Which some dub him as the best girl lol) need to taken care his dormmates because the dormmates are too incapable to taken care themselves.
Last but not the least there's Mahoyo release back on 8th. Apparently it's only for download version for overseas release with Japanese region get the physical version, although ultimately it's just same difference seeing that all version has English language support anyway. Mahoyo itself is the very first work from Nasu before writing Tsukihime, and back then he was inspired by Evangelion so much that he design the three main characters (Aoko, Soujuurou, and Alice) based on the Evangelion main trio (Asuka, Shinji, and Rei). For the premise, Mahoyo here has Aoko (Shiki's teacher in Tsukihime) who somehow find Soujuurou stumbled upon Aoko's secret place to learn sorcery with Alice, and one way or another Soujuurou joined both of Aoko and Alice in their daily life. While the premise looks like a slice of life story, it should be mentioned that there'll be some battle with very good graphic and effect, so yeah it should be good VN for Type Moon fans even though it's (Supposedly) only the first part out of the planned trilogy. Go get Mahoyo if you've been waiting for years and have Switch, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from Dreamysyu for a blog entry, Accomplishments of the Gravure Model Review
    Visual Novel Translation Status (04/12/2022)
Because we have Lover Pretend in which it finally has the villainess otome VN character (Even if for one route only) and said character work as the gravure model, I made reference of a certain 'reincarnated into villainess otome' manga, Accomplishments of the Duke's Daughter, by changing 'Duke's Daughter' into 'Gravure Model' so we have 'Accomplishments of the Gravure Model' as this week VNTS Review title. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review, and if I may summarize this week it would be slightly below average to me, but if anything else at least we still have some updates with the biggest one is Tsukihime Remake was fully translated. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
Aksys released Lover Pretend, and out of all translated otome VN so far it's the only one that purely featuring usual romance drama instead of having very interesting premise. As for the premise, we have Chiyuki who work as the assistant of the script writer tasked to write about love. Seeing that Chiyuki has never experienced romance in the first place, obviously the job would be very hard to her. That said, she did very best so that she can write the best script in order to fulfill her two dream, to be the best scriptwriter like her late mother and to find about her missing father who according to the clue that her mother left is that the one who involved in drama may know something about it. Little did she know that she'll learn about love through her new job, in which she'll end up with one of five heroes. Go get Lover Pretend if you have Switch (Unfortunately still no Steam release here) and been looking forward to it, and have fun.
For this week fan translation we have Chronos is at three quarter translated, 14 out of 138 script files for Umi kara Kuru Mono are translated, Anzu's route of Akagoei FD is at 70% translated, Senmomo is at 80.67% edited with Chapter 6 is at 64.45% edited, ChuSingura is at 16.37% translated, and H2O is at 56.7% translated with Hinata's route is fully translated (By the way the translator already decided to work on Yui's route along with the rest of Root After and Another contents before going back to translate Otoha's route). There's also another update in regard of Eiyuutan in which the translator already finished translate all of 10 script files for Aisha's route in Episode 1 (Excluding the sex scenes), and turned out that the true number of script files in Episode 1 is 23 script files, so currently we have 10 out of 23 script files of Eiyuutan first episode are translated.
We finally have all Ciel's route of Tsukihime Remake are fully translated, which obviously mean that all of Tsukihime Remake are fully translated. That said though, obviously it didn't mean that we can get the translation patch directly because there's still some works left to do, such as editing and finalizing, in which the translator already worked on those two in the past (Ciel's route up to day 8 is already edited while at the same time Ciel's route has been finalized up to day 6). Speaking of fully translated, we also have all of Yoshitsune's route of Majikoi A-5 is fully translated, which mean Majikoi A-5 here is fully translated, although of course we still need to wait for the polishing works (ie TLC and editing works) before the release. Almost forgot to mention that Mangagamer released Detective Masochist 3, and I can only say whatever to that nukige (Go get it though if you want more Detective Masochist after playing the previous two prequel).
Lastly we have Committee of Zero announced that they'll release Chaos Head Noah fix patch in this month, in which it's already been delayed from initial release plan on October because the high number of bugs, especially the Switch version. Speaking of Noah, while there's a lot of mistake so much that Committee of Zero urge the player to wait for the fix patch, at least this time PC version of Noah has mouse support unlike Robotic Notes where we need to wait for the fix patch in order to have mouse support on PC version of Robotic Notes.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from VNturePodcast for a blog entry, The Winter Musha Review - Top 10 Best Rated Visual Novels Translated in 2021
I suppose we can say that 2021 here is the continuation of 2020 in that we're still in the middle of the pandemic, although there's a lot of vaccination right now. Of course, it won't stop the releases of the translated VNs, and it's nice to see that JAST is very aggressive regarding the release in 2021, so much so that it can rival both Mangagamer and Sekai for yearly release numbers. With that done, let's see which translated VNs I chose as the best-rated ones in 2021. I'm sorry if some of your favorites are not here, so you may disagree with my choice because I may be subjective. Lastly, the scores and rank can fluctuate in the future, and for the reminder, the scores are the VNDB score for each VN as of today (April 8th, 2024).
Before I go with the best-rated translated VNs, I'll write the honorable mentions for 2021 here. The honorable mentions are Onigokko (VNDB 7.16), Parquet (VNDB 7.13), and Ninki Seiyuu no Tsukurikata (VNDB 7.27). That's all for the honorable mentions of 2021.
    10. Ren'ai Karichaimashita (VNDB 7.28)
If you look at Sankaku Ren'ai (developed by the same company and localized by Nekonyan), you know what to expect from Karichaimashita here. As a reminder, it's the comedy with a love triangle that's not as dramatic as White Album 2 (WA2), and we'll have it here. Karichaimashita is about our MC, Yuki, who keeps thinking about how money is the only thing that makes his little sister happy, thanks to his family's unique circumstances that forced Yuki to be the family's breadwinner. So, of course, he'll keep working for money if his sister can be happy, so much so that he calls himself having a Sister Complex. One day, Yuki saw a job advertisement for a company that allows clients to have fake relationships; the job is quite common in Japan, as shown in the infamous Kanojo Okarishimasu manga. While the job is highly suspicious, Yuki decides to apply anyway since it offers the high pay he desperately needs. Little did he know back then that he would keep involved with the clients, which in turn allowed him to start a relationship with one of the clients, and here we're going to have four and a half routes because, while technically there are five heroines, two of those heroines are the twin who's sharing Yuki.
    9. Primal x Hearts (VNDB 7.40)
Shiravune released several interesting visual novels in 2021, one of those VNs being Marmalade's Primal Hearts series. While it's inevitable because we also have Study Steady (another Marmalade VN) localized by them, it's still nice to see they license the Primal Hearts series. The series features a school with two student councils and an even number of students, thus ensuring a deadlock situation every time a vote happens. The MC's role in the series is as the hope to break the deadlock because he's the 777th student, hence his Three Sevens nickname. So, both councils inevitably approach the MC to persuade him to join one of the councils to have whichever side has the MC win the future votes. While I understand that the second Primal Hearts here has received some improvements, I list the first one here because the Primal Hearts series reminds me of the Lunar series, with both Lunar and Primal Hearts developers improving their second game. So the first Primal Hearts here should make a nice parallel with the first Lunar, and I know it's quite a stretch to compare Lunar and Primal Hearts, seeing that both series have a lot of differences anyway.
    8. Sugar * Style (VNDB 7.44)
Compared to other translated Smee VNs (HaremKingdom and Making Lovers) with unique MCs, Sugar Style here didn't have the MC become a king in a different world or already be working. But instead, our MC has just started his college life. For the premise, we have Kazuki (MC's default name), whose parents fled and left him with debts while also being deceived by an evil woman. So, after a string of bad luck, he turns the page by entering the college with the dormitory, which his cousin manages, only to find out that the dormitory is for females. Then Kazuki accidentally stumbles into a perverted situation. Thus, his relationship with the female residents, the heroines, has a rocky start. However, as per Smee VN, Kazuki will gradually get closer to the heroines. He'll then enter a relationship with one of the four heroines in the original version (which Nekonyan localized) and with the two additional heroines, including Kazuki's cousin, in the untranslated console version (that does not have sex scenes). Like other Smee VNs, besides obviously still having the usual comedy, it also has a mini fan disc, but we don't know if Nekonyan will localize it.
    7. Dohna Dohna -Issho ni Warui Koto o Shiyou- (VNDB 7.88)
After Shiravune brought the Primal Hearts series in July 2021, we have Dohna Dohna as another exciting license released by them in October 2021. Dohna Dohna, as in the latest gameplay VN by Alicesoft, which, as we know, is attempting to localize Evenicle 2 on their own (so perhaps Shiravune will localize Evenicle 2 later), as well as having a partnership with Mangagamer to localize the Rance series. For Dohna Dohna itself, while the graphic style resembles Persona 5, the story is more similar to FF7. In the story of Dohna Dohna, it has an outlaw group that lives in a city tightly controlled by a massive corporation. The group does everything it can, including robbing the facility related to the corporation, to fight them. While we usually think that the group is in the right, in this case, we can't exactly say that the group is better than the corporation morally because we have the group kidnapping several women to sell them as prostitutes to get money. Finally, while the graphics are quite colorful, it should go without saying that the content is quite dark, especially with the already mentioned prostitute and some disturbing sex scenes in the Bad Endings.
    6. Rance Quest (VNDB 7.93)
After some time of waiting (11 years for the ones who play fan translations of Sengoku Rance and 17 months for the ones who play the Mangagamer version), we finally have Rance Quest released in English. As for the story, after Rance encountered a problem in Sengoku Rance, he decided to find a way to resolve his situation. Of course, Rance being Rance, his inability to control his libido caused trouble, and he's been struck with a curse by a woman with whom he had sex. Said curse renders any woman who has sex with Rance weakened, as well as making Rance not able to have sex with weaker women, so there will be many restrictions on Rance's having sex. Facing the situation, rather than trying to find a way to remove the curse quickly, Rance decided to enjoy his life as much as possible. Of course, he'll do so by searching for many strong women so that he can have sex with them. Rance Quest is the eighth part of the Rance series that Alicesoft developed, and Quest here is a breather episode with Rance doing a lot of quests that resemble the old RPG (hence the word "Quest") with him recruiting a lot of characters (up to 72) to join his adventure.
    5. Musicus (VNDB 8.00)
When Overdrive worked on this VN, which was planned as their last VN before they went with the Virtual Youtuber stuff, they found themselves without enough funds to develop the VN. And so they did the crowdfund to get the funds, with the result that they managed to gather 130 million yen. According to what I've seen, Musicus has been well received, with some calling it a thought-provoking VN if we borrow the late Conjueror's word, though whether that's true is up to each person. But I know for sure that we have Kei, who is currently in a dilemma regarding his future after encountering the difficulties of becoming a doctor like his father. Of course, as per Overdrive MC, Kei finds himself drawn to the music after watching a concert. From there, he does his best to perform in a band after being suggested by a band leader. Unlike the writer's previous Overdrive VN, which also focused on the music band (Kira Kira), in this one, the writer shows what would happen if one made a band for a living, which turned out to be quite an ordeal. Since Musicus didn't have an opening, I'll use the ending credit of Yako's route for the video below.
    4. Kin'iro Loveriche (VNDB 8.20)
Kini'iro Loveriche, aka Kinkoi, is the first translated Saga Planet VN that Nekonyan localized. With that, we finally have Saga Planet VN translated, which defies people's belief that it's impossible to see it happen, especially with several failed Saga Planet VN translation projects we've had in the past (Hanasaki Work Spring, Hatsuyuki Sakura). As for Kinkoi, the premise here is that Ouro carried Princess Sylvie (her full name is too long) in Princess Carry (how appropriate), which obviously would alert her bodyguards because it made Ouro look like he had kidnapped the princess. Since Ouro himself caught Sylvie's attention, she had arranged for Ouro to attend the school with her. While the premise suggested that this is just a comedy VN with rich people as heroines, it turned out that there's more to Kinkoi than meets the eye, particularly regarding the story of one of the heroines. The VN also has a fan disc, Golden Time, with two routes for the side heroines, after stories for each heroine (including the side one), and an alternate ending for a specific heroine. Just in case you're asking if the fan disc will be licensed or not, Nekonyan has already licensed it, and so far, the translation work on it is going pretty well.
    3. 9 -Nine- Yukiiro Yukihana Yukinoato (VNDB 8.60)
I said the serial release is not ideal for releasing a VN. But after I read one of the reviews about Nine, perhaps going serial here is the best way to make the writer, Kazuki Fumi, build up the story arc because not all writers can make the complete story arc from the beginning. That said, I'm still not a fan of serial release. In Episode 4, after Kakeru gets close to the other heroines, Miyako, Sora, and Haruka, in the previous episodes while investigating the incidents in the city, this time Kakeru gets close to Noa. More importantly, Kakeru finally confronts a person who's been causing the incidents after getting some help from an unexpected fellow. While there's Shinshou, aka New Episode, which is said to be the sequel to Episode 4, the New Episode is more like the fan disc than the sequel. The New Episode contents are the after stories for the heroines with some wrap-up for the story, so Episode 4 here is the grand finale for the Nine series itself. Izumi Tsubasu is still in charge of the design, so we still have her beautiful drawings. Sekai did well on this by releasing four episodes of Nine within two years, contrasting with when they needed three years to release two VN of the ReLord trilogy.
    2. Soukou Akki Muramasa (VNDB 8.91)
We knew JAST got the license for Muramasa back in 2012 when one of TLWiki's users, Makoto, became the translator for JAST. JAST being JAST, we didn't see them give us many updates on Muramasa, so people decided to give up on it. At least until July 2021, when JAST abruptly announced that Muramasa would be released shortly, and with their new pace, JAST did manage to release it in August 2021. For the premise, we have an alternative world where Japan (ruled by the Rokuhara shogunate with an iron fist and has unique warriors called musha) has a roaming monster that terrorizes the country by killing many people. Enter Kageaki with his eyes set on it, and then he hunts it down. While usually, we would say that Kageaki is the hero, one should remember the arc word, "This is not a story of the heroes." So, of course, Kageaki will make many horrible decisions to achieve the goal. Since the writer, Narahara Ittetsu, did write both Hanachirasu and Muramasa, with the former having a lot of deaths, sure enough, Muramasa has tons of people dying left and right. Besides that, Narahara here also provides some writing that can be thought-provoking.
    1. White Album 2 (VNDB 9.00)
I still remember in 2011 when my roommate listened to the WA2 Closing Chapter opening, and obviously, there was no translated version of it back then. The Todokanai group worked hard to translate WA2, but it took years to finish because of its length. After several years of work, they finally released the full translation patch on December 22nd of last year, making it a nice early Christmas gift from them. For the premise, we have Haruki, who is searching for additional light music club members to perform at the school festival. He manages to get two girls, Setsuna and Kazusa, to participate. Haruki had no idea at the time that he would become embroiled in a dramatic love triangle that would last into his adulthood, and it would be pretty messy, given that each involved person had numerous flaws. WA2 here is Maruto's last VN before he moves on to write the light novel (Saekano), and as I said, Maruto here did write each of the characters like in Damekoi, only with him putting more focus on two heroines instead of just one like in Damekoi. As for the video, I used the Closing Chapter opening because it's where most of WA2 content goes.
That's all for my list of translated visual novels released in 2021. To conclude, 2021 is pretty much an exciting year, with two of the most well-received VNs (Muramasa and WA2) getting translated so we can finally play them in English. Lastly, with JAST's new strategy in that they decided to release the download version first to quicken the releases, I look forward to what they can do in 2022. Of course, I also look forward to what the other companies can do in 2022, especially regarding Nekonyan and Shiravune, despite the latter's liking to use bothersome Denuvo for DRM.
PS - For the title, I combined the words "winter" (the WA2 season motif) and "musha" (the unique warrior in Muramasa), resulting in "The Winter Musha," which is similar to one of Captain America's films (The Winter Soldier).

littleshogun got a reaction from Pallas_Raven for a blog entry, Tokeijikake no Rakuen Review
    Visual Novel Translation Status (13/11/2022)
Like back at my last VNTS Review when Tokeijikake Daybreak released, once again I decided to make parody of one of Grisaia VN and obviously it's Grisaia no Rakuen. The reason is simply because Rakuen here is the last part of Grisaia trilogy and Tokeijikake Morning Mist here is also the last part of the trilogy, so we have 'Tokeijikake no Rakuen' as this week VNTS Review title. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review and compared to the last week this time it's obviously an active one with several releases and new project announcements, although of course there's still some usual updates. Overall I can say that this is an interesting week, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
I knew that 4chan did cover Soukoku no Arterial, but there's a reason on why I didn't mention it until now. Namely that it's been MTL-ed just like Amayui duology (And confirmed by the translator himself), thus obviously cause a bit of complicated issue (At least I'm very certain that the translations are better compared to old narration patch that I used to play Arterial). For Arterial itself, it's easier to say it as the Eushully's attempt to make card game VN with the rules are quite deep compared to other known card game VN, so at least you can try it if you're into card game like Yu-Gi-Oh. Story wise we have Eushully decided to write about modern Japan instead of their usual fantasy setting, and in Arterial there'll be a lot of people trapped into another world with the people will search a way to possibly going back into their previous world. Go get the patch here if you want to play Arterial and didn't mind that it's MTL patch, and have fun.
For fan translation updates, we have Yosuga no Sora is at 66% TLC-ed, Senmomo is at 77.27% edited with Chapter 6 is at 24% edited, Chronos is at halfway edited, WA2 Mini After Story last route has been nearly fully edited, Mio's route of Walkure Romanze is at 70% translated along with 30% edited, H2O is at 42.2% translated with Hinata's route is at 24.8% translated, and Eustia is at 98.67% in programming with Licia's chapter is at 92.94% in programming. We also have Kusarihime was fully translated with the translator will doing TLC and editing work before release it, and the translator already announced the new project with the goal to translate underrated VN Umi kara Kuru Mono. Speaking of underrated VN, Senmomo also announced their new project to translate Yui no Kotonoha with some substantial works are already done. I'm kind of wish that they'd pick more well known VNs, but I understand that some translators have their own preference (I'll try to write more about those two VNs later).
Since Sugar Sweet Temptation editing work is still not finished yet, Love Lab decided to make a new release estimation in which it'll be January 2023 later. At least they're almost ready to release Maid for Loving You soon. Speaking of release, we have Hokejo release with the group who release it is the newer group, so obviously the older Hokejo project here should be treated as dead and it'll be a redundant release if the older group somehow release the full translation patch later. As for Hokejo itself, it's a kinetic VN with the writer is also did wrote Hoshimemo and thus it's logical to have supernatural element here. It should also be mentioned that Hokejo here is the first part of the serial VN, and in here we'll be focused on the MC Sora assistant Shirabana who accompany Sora in his work as school counselor along with taking care of spiritual matter. Go get Hokejo's translation patch (The link) if you've been interested with it for a while, and have fun.
Before going to Morning Mist release, let me do the round up of the updates that Sekai have. For the ypdates, we have Nie no Hakoniwa is at 90% translated along with 10% edited, Amairo Chocolata 2 is at 80% in QA, and Sheol is at 10% edited. We also have Sekai announce that they'll have Hoshimemo Eternal Heart coming into Steam soon, so obviously it should be the good news for Hoshimemo fans who've been waiting for the fandisc here. As for Morning Mist release, I should say that Sekai here definitely do a good job considering that we only need to wait in less than eight months instead of 51 months, although to be fair they already resolved all of the problematic engine. Morning Mist here is obviously the finale of Tokeijikake trilogy here, and in here the MC will do his best to do the investigation in regard of the incident that surrounding the school. Go get Morning Mist if you've been waiting for Tokeijikake finale, and have fun.
Last but not the least is we have JAST released Gore Screaming Show aka GSS, and according to Moogy it's been touted as kamige (Never mind that the term itself is quite subjective on it's own) way back when it's been released in 2006 (His tweet in regard of it). As for the premise, we have our MC Kyouji who came back to his hometown and live with his mother's cousin. In there he met with mysterious beautiful girl Yuka who've been accompanied by the inexplicable figure (The titular Gore), and said encounter mark the end of peaceful day for Kyouji because from now on he'll encounter a lot of madness and despair. It should be noted that while the title did indicate that there'll be a lot of gore, there's a reason on why people did touted this as kamige back in 2006, although that said there's still some disturbing scenes to watch out. Go get GSS if you've been curious about it or just want to play another horror VN with good looking Ueda Metawo's arts (That still nice even after 16 years old), and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from Emi for a blog entry, I NEVER Want to Say to my Older Brother that I'm His Younger Sister Review
    Visual Novel Translation Status (11/09/2022)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week we have multiple releases as well, although unlike last week this time all of those are not MTL so you don't need to worry in regard of MTL here. To summarize it, those releases are Imaimo, Himeyoku, and yet another nukige from Cherry Kiss with the biggest release is obviously Imaimo. We also have several new project established, and that Sekai also have several updates on this week even though it's quite unfortunate that there's no Hamidashi translation progress from them. So overall I suppose I can say that this week here is another above average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Oh yes, as for the title I'll tell about it on PS later.
As for Cherry Kiss release, to be frank I have nothing to say other than that the localized title is obviously a parody of Pokemon English catchphrase. For the premise, well it's about the MC from the other world who summoned to the world that only has female as a sacrifice to seal the demon queen, and after he has sex with the queen who is satisfied so much that she pledge royalty to the MC and had him as the king, the MC decided to teach the meaning of equality by having sex with all races in his new world. Go get the VN if you want more Cherry Kiss nukige, and have fun.
Shiravune delayed their Monochrome Mobius release to November 16th with legitimate reason, in which apparently one of the staffs was get caught up by Covid which considering the number of daily cases in Japan (For the info the daily cases in August end could reach up to around 250,000 cases) it's most likely to be true. In exchange though they managed to have released Himeyoku, which at least it has some quite nice graphic even though I would like to see that Yamizome Liberator being translated. Anyway in here we have the MC who manage to get revenge by attacked the king who made his life miserable by using some sort of mysterious power, although his interest is not in politic but instead it's in regard of have sex with the princess, and so he used his power which revealed that he was got by made a pact with five female demon to rape the princess. Go get Himeyoku in Steam or Johren if you want to see more Escude VN, and have fun.
For Sekai's update, we have Yumeiro was at 30% edited, Nie no Hakoniwa was a 45% translated, Gakkou no Seiiki was fully edited, and last but not the least we have Our Marriage 1 was announced to be released on 23rd later along with it was already 90% in QA. Once again it's still too bad that there's no update on Hamidashi or even Raspberry Cube, but I suppose Sekai may start working on the former after they released the Chinese version of it first. We also have some update in regard of Slow Damage, in that it's currently in testing so we may have it released in the near future, although looking from how frequent JAST tweet something related to Gore Screaming Show related we may see it as JAST's next release.
Of course we have some fan translation update, and for the roundup we have Houkago Cinderella was at 58.88% translated along with 7.02% edited, ChuSingura was at 11.38% translated, Chronos was at 35% proofreading, Day 7 Ciel's route of Tsukihime Remake was finally fully translated, White Album 2 Mini After Stories was fully translated with two after stories are fully edited and playtested, and Eustia was at 97.87% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 88.68% in programming. We also have new project for Planetarian Snow Globe translation by Snow fan translation group, and for the info Snow Globe here is the short prequel of Planetarian with Snow Globe itself was already at a quarter translated. Almost forgot to mention that we already have one more sex scene from Aojashin Case 3 was translated, so for Aojashin currently we have 11 out of 17 sex scenes of it are translated.
We also have several updates from Daybreak, with one of those is in regard of Ginharu in that they will try to finish with it by November later, although whether it'll lead to full patch release later or not we'll see. Another update is in regard of Akagoei FD in that the translator already finished with Moe's route, and so he continued with working on Tae's route next. Lastly we also have new project from them, and said new project is Kusarihime in which it's the old Liar-soft VN from way back in 2002. Kurarihime itself is well known as the VN that inspired Urobochi Gen, Tanaka Romeo, and Kinoko Nasu which as we know are famous VNs writers, although looking from the graphic it may look dated. Then again, graphic itself won't be a factor alone when it come to see how good the VN is, so perhaps we may see people like Kusarihime later. We already have the progress on it, and as of now 120 out of 256 script files of it are translated which is good seeing that they set the release on 2023 later.
Nekonyan already announced that they'll have their next release, and said release is Ren'ai x Royale in which they'll release it in 30th later. No much to say other than it would be nice to just expect this as full comedy VN with some romance instead of romance VN with some comedy seeing that it's another ASa Project VN, and I mention this because I saw several comment on how Royale is less received compared to Karichaimashita along with on how apparently people have some problem with Karichaimashita here. Oh yes I did forget to mention this beforehand, so I'll say that ASa Project here did give one of side heroines a good side route with said routes has more substances compared to the side routes in Karichaimashita.
Last but not the least, we have Imaimo translation patch released. For the info Imaimo here is the prequel of Koichoco (Even though it's focused on different characters) with two of it's heroines, Chisato and Satsuki, appear as the relatives for Imaimo's heroines, and Imaimo is all age VN in the first place so no need to worry on either removed sex scenes or mosaic. For the premise it's about our MC Rikuto who need to face the fact that his father remarry to a single mother who is have a cute son (Ayumu), and said son is causing Rikuto's heart beat faster for some reasons. Obviously since sprite never produce BL VN, Ayumu turned out to be a girl who want to tell Rikuto that she's his little sister only to have no courage to do it, and because of the circumstances she was told to dressed as the boy by her mother. From there Rikuto start his new life with Ayumu, and possibly find his new life partner. Go get Imaimo if you want more sprite VN because it has nice art, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - As for the title, it's obviously the direct translation of Imaimo full title. Or maybe not at all, because actually the direct translation for Imaimo full title is 'I Want to Say to my Older Brother That I'm His Younger Sister Now!', in which obviously it depict that Ayumu want to tell her status as the MC younger sister as soon as possible. Of course though it's another VA joke here, in which it's once again from Ayumu's VA, Chihara Minori, who voiced one of Rune Factory 3 bachelorette Sofia (Japanese one obviously) who's her quirk is to speak opposite of what she want to say, and I'll try to replicate it in the title even though I'd just write 'never' in all capital to emphasize the opposite speaking because there's no red font for the title. For the info, in Rune Factory 3 every time Sofia speak opposite the word will be painted red, and you can see Sofia's events in this video to understand it.

littleshogun got a reaction from Just a Madao for a blog entry, Kamikaze Pilot in Another World Review
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and for the title since we have Hatsumira with the premise that one of Kamikaze pilot who about to do suicide attack in World War 2 was sent into another world, I'll just parodied a certain isekai work, Veterinarian in Another World, by changing 'Vetenarian' with 'Kamikaze Pilot' so we have 'Kamikaze Pilot in Another World' as the title which admittedly is quite plain. Anyway that aside compared to the last week obviously this time it's more exciting here, thanks to Frontwing finally released Hatsumira in which it's the only interesting release for April here. Other than Hatsumira, we also have Mangagamer released Uchi no Imouto and obviously we still have fan translation updates here. Overall this week is an above average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
There's a certain nukige, Illicit Love ~Secret Time with Housewives~, that was moved up a month from the promised release date (May 27th), so we already have it released. No much to say other than it has NTR element, and have fun if you already play it (At least you didn't need to wait for another month here). Speaking of NTR, Alicesoft did release their newest VN demo with said VN has English title 'A Housewife's Healing Touch', which mean that yes Alicesoft will release it overseas with the exact release date will be at 27th later. As for NTR matter, the VN has two routes with ne of those route is NTR route and another one is Pure Love route. No much to say other than at least we can get housewife VN that Alicesoft known like to develop being translated here. Oh yes we also have Fakku localize yet another nukige, and said nukige is Iku Iku Succubuss with said VN is already in testing (The VN was also already fully translated and edited) with the release planned at this year summer.
Mangagamer did release Uchi no Imouto like I mentioned beforehand, and no much that I can say other than it should be good VN if you want to play some little sister VN so have fun if you already interested with it. Mangagamer released their survey result, and let's just say that I understand if Mangagamer being bored with the result. They also give some hints towards their future license, with one of those hints lean towards Sex Open World in which it's isekai nukige VN from Moonstone, although obviously it's too obvious guess for now (I won't be surprised if Mangagamer announced Sex Open Worl later though). We also have Shiravune announce the exact release date for Badge and Dagger, and said release date will be at June 10th later so you may note the date if you've been looking forward to see more Ruka.
For fan translation updates, we have 94.8% original lines of Summer Pockets were reworked, Senmomo was at 55.72% edited with Chapter 3 was fully edited, Ruitomo was at 13.89% translated (Common route was at 61.31% translated) along with 8.51% edited, Imaimo was at 14.1% translated with common route was at 70.3% translated, Snow was fully translated with the next focus will be going to editing and testing, Taimanin Kurenai was 90% in proofreading, Tsukihime Remake Ciel's route Day 13 was fully translated, and Houkago Cinderella was at 43.12% translated. Last but not the least we have 88 out of 139 script files for Mizuha's route of Ginharu translated, and for the info the reason on why the remaining two files were omitted it's because those two files are sounds only files.
Last but not the least we have Hatsumira released in which we finally have Frontwing release the VN smoothly without bug like Sharin, so good for them. Anyway Hatsumira here tell us the story about a Kamikaze pilot who about to do suicide attack in WW2 only to have the pilot (Ichiro) find himself in a desert with a dragon help him, and then after Ichiro find himself in the other world he decided to go back to his world at all cost in order to fulfill a promise that he made despite that what await him after he come back is a certain death. Hatsumira itself is more or less isekai VN with the less attention on the sex scenes, so I think it should be good to see it translated seeing that isekai VN here is still rare (Outside nukige one). Anyway go get Hatsumira if you interested with it since back when Frontwing tease it, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from Just a Madao for a blog entry, Sakura Cherubim Review
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title since we have Neko-Mimi Sweet Housemates released along with Sakura Succubus 5 release (Good to see that Winged Cloud still be able to milk Sakura Succubus I suppose) I changed 'Succubus' into 'Cherubim' so we have 'Sakura Cherubim' for the title (The reason is because we have Cherubim as the part of the setting in Neko-Mimi Sweet Housemates). As for this week, initially I thought that this would be a plain one although a certain today announcement did at least has some interesting circumstances behind it, so I suppose this week here is overall quite an average one. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review.
Sekai did release Neko-Mimi Sweet Housemates, and what I can say is that it's created by the former Eushully staffs with the art drawn by Eushully former artist. The premise is very simple in which the MC met up with the group of half-angel half-beast girl called Cherubim, and the MC did accompany the Cherubim with the MC will have romance with the Cherubim. Yeah this is more or less like Nekopara and the like, although the VN here is actually adapted the doujin manga. Also judging from the number of the heroines and the fact that it has 'Volume 1' word, it's pretty obvious that there'll be a plan to develop two more VNs to allow the MC to have romance with all of three heroines. Go get the VN if you want to play a serial moege VN with the art that resemble Eushully's VN (By the way the first volume heroine here resembled Kuna from Amayui Labyrinth Meister), and have fun.
Aniplex planned to released Mahoyo on Switch and PS4, in which it's normal if Aniplex want to distribute it seeing that they did broadcast Fate Stay Night DEEN version in Indonesia way back at 2007 through Animax (Both Aniplex and Animax are under Sony). More importantly the plan is to add the English language support in the release later, so effectively it mean that Type-Moon decided to allow Mahoyo to be localized. While it looks surprising at the first glance, actually it make sense to a degree seeing that we also have Melty Blood in which it's Type Moon game was localized. Obviously though it mean that the release will be overlapped with the fan translation of PC version, and actually the console version here would be superior one seeing that it has voice as well. In case you want to get it, it'll be available at December later so you can note the month if you have either Switch or PS4.
Love Lab will localize a VN with the maid that has localized title 'Maid for Loving You', and it's still unknown whether it's one of their two secret project or not. If anything else, at least I know that it has maid heroine and it'll be a short length VN. We also have a fan translation group with the goal to translate Ruitomo, and as we know Ruitomo is another VN from Akatsuki Work (Hello Lady and Comyu developer for the reminder) with the MC being a trap thanks to the curse. From there our MC will find several other cursed people who share similar situation with the MC, and they'll stick together as the group. I'll keep my eyes on the project, and good luck to the translator of it. For the progress we have it at 5.34% translated with common route was at 23.54% translated.
For the rest of fan translation updates at this week, we have Senmomo was at 46.98% edited with Chapter 3 was at 49.53% edited, Harugi was at 60% edited, Taimanin Kurenai was at 95% edited, Chicchakunai Mon was at 91% translated, Yoshitsune's route of Majikoi A-5 has 26 script files worked on, Eustia was at 95.34% in programming with Licia's chapter was past three quarter (75.23%) in programming, and 38 out of 141 script files of Mizuha's route in Ginharu was translated with the translator finished translated the middle school arc of Mizuha's route (For the reminder each of Ginharu routes are divided into three arc (Middle school arc, high school arc, and college arc)). Lastly we have the team behind Aojashin uncensoring project reveal that they decided to continuing on translating the rest of the sex scenes, and currently they translate two more sex scenes from the second case so at least it may be possible to see all the sex scenes in Aojashin translated.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from Just a Madao for a blog entry, Temptation of Stormy Sword Deity Review
Welcome to this week VNTS Review and sorry for being very late here. As for the title since we have Onee-chan no Yuuwaku (Translated as Temptation of Older Sister) released I decided to make VA parody in regard of the VA (Momoi Ichigo), so we have 'Temptation of Stormy Sword Deity' as this week review title and for the info Stormy Sword Deity is the title for corrupted Tyrca of Venus Blood Frontier (Tyrca here has two different titles for her two different forms, and I chose her title for her corrupted form because it fit more with the word temptation) with Tyrca herself voiced by Momoi Ichigo as well. As for this week while release wise there's no much interesting thing, at least there're several interesting announcements. Overall this week is an average one even with some of the released title have interesting circumstances, and let's see what I can write about this week here.
Love Lab did add one more secret project with the new project was at 10% translated while at the same time they also have their first secret project was at halfway translated. Turned out that my guess is right that the one who work on Jack Jeanne is Aksys, and they'll release it in the next year (ie 2023). Cherry Kiss announced another nukige with NTR, and it'll be released at 15th later. Finally we have Degica released 12th chapter of Yumemi Dreamers, and with this it mean that we have all part of Yumemi Dreamers released. If you want to read very usual magical girl that Kogado here did make it like Precure (It got the story where the mascot was cased by the cadres of the evil organization and then hand over the power to the chosen girl, although in here you'll play as the male best friend of the chosen girl), then go get it and have fun. Note that it also has rhythm and RPG gameplay, although from what I can see the latter is quite simple while for the former it's like Symphonic Rain (Same developer).
Mangagamer did release Seventh Lair, and what I know is that it has Fata Morgana characters with different story in which I can only say that it's quite awkward (Granted that turned out it's April Fool release, so the awkwardness might be intentional). Other than that so far the reception of this is less favorable compared to Fata Morgana, but if you just want to see Fata Morgana casts in the new story then you can get Seventh Lair and have fun. Mangagamer announced their next release, and it's Uchi no Imouto that they'll release at 28th later. Speaking of release date Sekai announced that they'll release Neko-Mimi Sweet Housemates first volume at Friday (8th) later, and perhaps you can try it later if you like Eushully's drawing seeing that the artist did work on several Eushully VNs in the past.
This week we have quite a number of fan translation updates, and in fact we also have Onee-chan no Yuuwaku released. But before going into it, let me make some roundup in regard of the updates. For the roundup we have Houkago Cinderella was at 40.52% translated, Chaos Head Noah was at 29.31% for both of TLC and editing progress, Ciel's route Day 13 of Tsukihime Remake was at 44% translated, Eustia was at 95.19% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 74.43% in programming, Taimanin Kurenai was at 90% edited, Shigure's route of Snow was at about 70% translated with the VN was overall at 96% translated, 2 out of 37 script files for Tsukikana's common route was translated, and Senmomo was at 45.02% edited with Chapter 3 was at 38.25% edited.
As for Onee-chan no Yuuwaku, I did remember that it has Indonesian translation so this is the second VN that has English translation after the Indonesian translation was released, with the first one that I remember is Guilty Crown VN. The VN itself has a MC who has sister complex towards his older sister who is more or less a perfect student at his school, and luckily the older sister here is also has some brother complex so naturally they'll going to have some forbidden love between two blood related sibling. Or if you want to be blunt this is a nukige with single heroine (The elder sister) so if you want to play some blood related sibling nukige and prefer the elder one instead the younger one like Imopara, then go get the VN and have fun. Lastly we have some Ginharu progress, and this time we have 30 out of 141 script files for Mizuha's route was translated.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
PS - Forgot to mention that we have new exact release date for Doukyuusei remake, and said date will be at 15th later. There's also new Ruitomo translation project as well, and I'll try to talk about more on this at next VNTS Review.

littleshogun got a reaction from Kajahara for a blog entry, The Winter Musha Review - Top 10 Best Rated Visual Novels Translated in 2021
I suppose we can say that 2021 here is the continuation of 2020 in that we're still in the middle of the pandemic, although there's a lot of vaccination right now.
PS - For the title, I combined the words "winter" (the WA2 season motif) and "musha" (the unique warrior in Muramasa), resulting in "The Winter Musha," which is similar to one of Captain America's films (The Winter Soldier).

littleshogun got a reaction from Emi for a blog entry, Grisaia no Somnium Review
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. As for the title since we have Phantom Trigger Volume 8 Steam store was opened and the release date for Somnium 2 was already announced, I decided to combined the words from both so that we have 'Grisaia no Somnium' (ie 'The Gray-colored Dream' because 'Somnium' is the Latin word for 'Dream') as this week VNTS Review, and it should be obvious that it didn't mean that Frontwing develop yet another Grisaia in the middle of (Problematic) programming work for Sharin. For this week I can say that after last week with the number of interesting releases we finally have it calmed down with there's no much interesting thing happened in this week. Of course for some other people the news that we got at this week might be interesting to them seeing that there's still some updates happening, although in the end overall this week is rather plain one to me. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
Finally we have the Steam store for Phantom Trigger Volume 8 was opened, and yes it'll be simultaneous release with the version also has English language support. For the reminder the release date is still at February 25th, so you may note the date if one want to get the finale of Phantom Trigger that said will have triple times of text and voiced lines compared to the previous volumes. Hopefully the story would be worth of the bloated text and voiced lines, although seeing that it's the finale perhaps I should expect some actions like in Rakuen (Both has same writer after all). We also have Aojashin approved by Valve, so at least their controversial censorship didn't ended up for nothing like Evenicle 2. As for Somnium 2 (I'll call it as such instead of the official name (nirvanA Initiative)) exact release date, it'll be at June 24th later. For the reminder Somnium 2 will be available for PC and console, so you didn't need to buy the console just to play this.
From fan translation we have Harugi was at 48% edited, Shin Koihime Musou was at 53% edited, Loverable was fully edited and yet the translation was still at 99.94% translated (Yeah I know it's quite confusing), Taimanin Kurenai was at three quarter translated, Eustia was at 94.41% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 70.27% in programming, and we also have Nursery Rhyme was halfway finished with the script insertion. As for Tsukihime Remake update we have Arcueid Day 11 was fully translated with Arcueid Day 10 was at 44% translated, and we also see some updates on Ciel route with Ciel Day 7 was at 5% translated and Ciel Day 8 was at 14% translated. Lastly we have Senmomo was at past a quarter (26.66%) edited with Chapter 2 was at 40.40% edited.
That's all for this week VNTS Review and sorry if it's been quite short here. See you next week and happy Chinese New Year.
PS - Forgot to mention that Shiravune managed to resolve the problem in regard of Nope Nope Nurse, so the VN is now back at Johren and of course it's also released on Steam so you can get the VN from Steam as well. Speaking of Steam, Shiravune also released Kamiyaba on Steam so you can get that on Steam if you prefer to buy Kamiyaba from Steam.

littleshogun got a reaction from Emi for a blog entry, A Cake Iced in Scarlet Review
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since we have Icing release along with the big update in Akaneiro I decided to combined the word from both VNs so we have 'A Cake Iced in Scarlet' as this week title (By the way the title here did resemble the Sherlock Holmes story 'A Study in Scarlet'). For more elaboration, icing here is the process to coat the cake with sugar and obviously there'll be a lot of making cake in Icing seeing that both of the MC and his wife are patissiers, while as for 'Scarlet' part here it's simply because Akane here can be translated as scarlet. Anyway as far as this week concern, while release wise we only have Icing and otome VN Ayakashimori, Sekai here did a lot of updates with their bigger name including finally announced the exact release date for Rewrite. Overall this week is an interesting one thanks to Sekai's updates, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
Like I say beforehand, we have Venus Blood Frontier fandiscs was have Kickstarter and the result is that they successfully funded it with the fund gathered was at 2,611,916 yen which is more than twice of the original goal (At 1,200,000 yen), and in case you want to fund it there's still time in that it'll be ended eight days later. We also have the estimation release time for this, and it'll be at March 2022 later which should be more than possible to fulfill after seeing both of Frontier and Hollow. For Icing we have our nameable MC Shigure who is a patissier that married his colleague Akiho, and like previous VNs from Hachimitsu Soft that were localized by artlink obviously we'll see a lot of romantic moment between the married couple even with both of them are also rival in regard of patissier skill (Not that it stop them to run a cake shop together). Go get Icing if you're in the mood to read the VN that has romance in a cake shop, and have fun.
For Ayakashimori, well no much to say other than we got the female MC want to be the member of Ayakashimori in that it's a special bureau that deal with youkai and that it's only available for Switch, so you can try it if you're an otome game fans that have Switch and have fun. Shiravune licensed two nukige with one of those was released back at 3rd (FUCKOMOTIVE) and another one will be released at 10th later (SISTERITUAL). What I know is that both VNs have two heroines each, and both has specific setting with FUCKOMOTIVE has train and SISTERITUAL has shrine along with blood related sibling sex scenes (Well it's in the title). Lastly we finally have Frontwing announced the last volume of Phantom Trigger and they announced the exact release date in which it'll be at February 25th later, although we didn't have them announce that it'll be available in English though even though it's pretty obvious that they'll also release it in English simultaneously.
From fan translation we have both of Asahi and Ouka routes of Snow were finished with the translator will be focused on translating both of Meiko and Legend routes (For the info the latter is not really the name of the girl, but rather the name of the route itself), Eustia was at 93.86% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 67.35% TLC-ed, Chaos Head Noah was at 11.25% edited, Harugi was at 40% edited, 46 out of 138 script files of Nagomibako was edited, and Loverable was at 98.97% translated along with 98.64% edited. We also have Senmomo was at 18.85% edited with Chapter 2 was at 7.86% edited, and currently they're in need of a hacker. Lastly we have announcement from White Album 2 Discord that they'll release the patch in the upcoming weeks and very likely earlier before Christmas, and so we have 19 days of wait at most to finally have White Album 2 full translation patch here. That's all for the updates from fan translation section.
As for Sekai's updates, we have Akaneiro was at halfway translated, Amairo Chocolata was at 90% translated, Yumeiro was at 35% translated, and the secret project was fully edited along with them wait for the build. We also have them scheduling the release for Drapri 2 along with them finally started to work on Harukuru's engine with the current progress was at 20% (They still wait for the build though). They also finally has some updates on Tokeijikake, and that they finally have list the QA progress for both of Daybreak and Morning Mist (80% and 30% respectively) with the former was planned for the release at Q1 2022, which to say may be possible (As long as there's no additional bugs in Daybreak) seeing that they did announce that they'll release Rewrite at 17th later with the Harvest Festa release at later date (It's still at 20% edited for the info). Last but not the least, we have Amatsutsumi was in review by Valve which mean obviously it was already finished the QA along with the engine work, and hopefully the review progress can be going without much fuss so that we can have this released smoothly.
That's all for what I can say in regard of this week, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from alexfang452 for a blog entry, Girls' Tale Review - Top 10 Best Rated Visual Novels Translated in 2020
Quite a crazy year that we have in regard of 2020, especially with pandemic and all here. Anyway just like previous best rated VNs list I'll list what's translated VNs that we have in 2020 here, and the rules are still the same in that I won't list BL, fandisc (So no Aokana EXTRA1 and Miagete FD), partial translated VNs, censored VNs (None at this year thankfully) and otome VNs. Let's see what kind of VNs that I'll list below, and I'll tell the meaning of the title at PS below. Also I'm sorry if some of your favorite VNs here didn't available in my list, and I know that each of you may think differently on what's the best translated VNs that we have at 2020. For the scoring, it would be based on VNDB average score at December 31st, 2023 and as always both of the score and the rating can be change in the future.
    10. IxSHE Tell (VNDB 6.97)
Back at 2018 when Nekonyan was established, one of their announcements is Melty Moment in that they'd plan to release it in 2018. Of course there's a lot of unfortunate circumstances that caused Melty Moment to be delayed, and thus Nekonyan decided to have a talk with Hooksoft in regard of the matter with the result that Nekonyan will released newer Hooksoft's VN. So we have Nekonyan licensed IxSHE Tell, and we have this released back at August. The premise is our MC Hajime manage to abolished a century rule that banned romance in the school after his hard work as student council president, and consequently he become very popular so much that the girls want to go out with him. Soon after that, he find himself surrounded between five heroines who obviously want to go out with him as well. Since our Hajime is too busy to think about romance in the past, naturally he's very confused about his new situation so it's up to the player to help her get his love. For the VN itself, it's purely moege with a lot of comedy scenes so don't expect heavy story and instead just enjoy the comedy along with the arts which to say is nice looking.
    9. Sakura no Mori Dreamers (VNDB 7.32)
I see a lot of critic in regard of Sakuramori here, whether in regard on how the genre (Horror and charage) didn't really mix together or on how the four heroines are really pale in comparison with one heroine that didn't have route for logical reason (Madoka). For the former since the charage portion did happen after the horror portion ended, at least you can treat the charage as the breather after horror portion that took the whole common route. As for the latter, I can only say that it should understandable if one have been play Evangile and it also happen that the writer (Kure) did write one side heroine (Ruriko) is more prominent compared to the four heroines, and obviously Kure did apply his Ruriko writing by making Madoka more prominent. As for the premise, it's about our MC Shinji who's been in grief thanks to a crazy killer did kill his childhood friend Madoka and so he's been in despair. At least until he was invited by a girl (Kureha) in order to help her with fighting the monsters inside the dream in order to protect the city that have the supernatural incidents occur a lot, and so Shinji decided to accept her invitation in order to move on from his loss of Madoka.
    8. Riddle Joker (VNDB 7.63)
Back at January last year, Nekonyan did announce this along with (Redundant) Dracu Riot, which to say sort of ironic seeing that mod Clephas did say that Riddle Joker here is very similar to Dracu Riot. As for what I can say in regard of that, at least I can say that I recommend anyone else to read Riddle Joker first if you still waiting for Nekonyan to release Dracu Riot. Also both works did have it's own pro and con, so to each of their own in regard on which VN is better. The premise goes like we have Satoru who've been hide the secret that he's a secret agent and then he got the mission to infiltrate the school that educate the students with super power. Along the mission, he met the student council president Ayase who find out Satoru's secret and turned out Ayase also has a big secret, and her secret is she wore the pad to cover the fact that her breast is quite small. As both of them known each other secret, they started to get closer with each other and naturally there'll be romance between them (Of course Satoru can ended up with other girls beside Ayase). Lastly I can say that it's nice that we can see two translated Yuzusoft VNs in a year, and thus now we have five translated Yuzusoft VNs.
    7. Senren Banka (VNDB 7.72)
At July 2017 in AX Sekai did announce this along with several other announcements, and of course back then I really hoping that Sekai will deliver it. Only to find out that Sekai didn't do anything on Senren Banka for around 17 months until when Nekonyan did announce this, and from there we've started to see some progress on Senren Banka. Time passed, and back at Valentine Nekonyan did release this after they did release the trial beforehand. As for the premise, we have our MC Masaomi visiting his grandfather village in order to helping out the ryokan. Before going to Ryokan, Masaomi did see a tourist attraction in which there's a katana was stuck in the stone and he did try to pull it. Little did he know back then that he'll broke the katana and thus it created the commotion, with the end result that Masaomi must engaged to the shrine maiden as form of responsibilities. While at first Masaomi didn't like it seeing that the village is basically out of nowhere, it didn't take too long before Masaomi took a liking to the village. By the way while the story in common route is interesting, in the end it's still a charage so don't expect some epic story in Senren Banka here.
    6. Robotics Notes (VNDB 7.73)
Science Adventure VN that is quite unfortunate in that it has been compared with Steins Gate so much that people think it's not good, and the staffs here didn't help at all by released the fandisc that has Steins Gate major characters (Daru) as the second MC which indicate that even the staffs themselves didn't have confidence that Robotics Notes can stand on it's own. As for Robotics Notes itself, we have our MC Kaito who's been childhood friend with Akiho. One day in order to avoid the disband of Robot club, Akiho decided to make a big accomplishment by building a giant robot, and of course she decided to enlist Kaito's help who at first is not quite enthusiastic. Some times after that Kaito find some files called Kimijima Report, and the report did contain a plot that involving the whole world which of course would lead into something big as per Science Adventure VN. Curious about the report, Kaito decided to investigate it while at the same time he gather more allies to help Akiho build the robot. The PC version at first didn't have mouse control support which to say is a questionable decision, but thanks to Committee of Zero who released the improvement patch now we can play this using mouse.
    5. Making Lovers (VNDB 7.82)
Another Smee VN, and it's the 2nd Smee VN that Nekonyan localized after Fureraba. Since it came from same company along with have same writer, Makeover here also has comedy writing like Fureraba and of course Makeover here is just usual moege. As for the premise, we have Kazuma who is a young adult and live alone. Obviously this time the MC here is not a high school student, but instead Kazuma here is already graduated from the college. Even so, the problem is still the same though in that he want to have a girlfriend. In Makeover here we supposed to help Kazuma to get his girlfriend, although this time instead of small talk like at Fureraba you can just chose the heroines by using the choice like usual VN and there's no much choices so you can immediately make Kazuma to have his girlfriend. As for the girlfriend candidates (ie heroines), this time we have five with the candidates are a tsundere former college friend, a high school model, a stepsister, a weather forecast presenter, and a strange neighbor. Nekonyan also plan to localize the FD of this, although as of now there's still no work on the FD because they've been quite busy with handling many other projects.
    4. Ryuusei World Actor aka Meteor World Actor (VNDB 7.84)
At first Shiravune (Formerly ShiraVN) want to release this on Steam, but for some reason Valve reject it for three time so that we can't see Steam release for it. After the repeated rejections, Shiravune decided to release it on Johren in which it's their own store (Both of Shiravune and Johren are owned by DMM). For the premise, we have our MC Ruka who work as a policeman and that he's been quite infamous within the forces. One day he got a female elf newbie named Claris, and Ruka guide Claris begrudgingly because he was forced to do that by his superior. Other thing to note is that it's first Kinugasa translated work in that it show he can write good comedy along with good setting in which the other races live together with human (One of those is the aforementioned elf), while at the same time he can't write an ending to his own story because he spent too much time on establishing the setting or to put it nicely he prefer to write open ending that some people may like it. I know currently the sequel is in development according to this tweet, but seeing that Kinugasa still wrote open ending even at Akagoei 3 I don't think that Kinugasa won't write the open ending in the sequel.
    3. Gekkou no Carnevale (VNDB 7.86)
I must say that I'm quite surprised with this, especially I did know about this three days after the release (The release day was at Christmas). Moreso if I consider that the one who release this was GHS of all people, and naturally people are skeptical about this seeing that his reputation is quite infamous thanks to his (So-called) badly translated Cross Channel. That said even with knowing his past infamy and that the translation of this is apparently not quite well done, I still say that you should read this to either read more Nitroplus VN or check if the translation is really bad as people says. As for the premise of Carnevale, we have Romeo who work as taxi driver and ironically has a bad sense of direction. However, he has a secret in that he's a former member of a mafia and he himself is a werewolf, and that the mafia where he did belong is pursuing him. Along the way, Romeo pick a living doll that didn't have past memories named Anna, and Romeo decided to live together with her. Of course seeing that Romeo did need to fend off his pursuer along with some new enemies, naturally he'll fight some people and thus Carnevale here has fighting scenes.
    2. Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi aka YOU and ME and HER: A Love Story (VNDB 8.02)
As for Kimikoi, at first I was surprised on why Nitroplus here like to make the VN setting like a usual moege with school and all. At least until one day in which I watch a certain video, and I can say that I like that Nitroplus did go all out step outside their comfort zone by making a lighthearted moege. As for the premise, we have our MC Shinichi who has a childhood friend named Miyuki. One day he find a weird girl named Aoi who like to mutter some nonsense terms such as game, heroine, and the like. Of course Shinichi as normal people would pitying her because it mean that she's not normal so Shinichi decided to enlist Miyuki help. Over time, Shinichi, Miyuki, and Aoi become the best friends and as per moege rule both heroines are fall in love with Shinichi. I see that some people did mention that this VN did resemble Doki Doki Literature Club when they play or review Kimikoi, but I would say that they're totally wrong because there's no literature club in Kimikoi here. I also see some people did compare Miyuki with Monika, but I think they're pretty much different with the only similarities are those their name started with M and both names have six letters.
    1. Summer Pockets (VNDB 8.48)
The newest KEY work, and it's their big work after Rewrite. As for the VN itself, all of the twists did resemble some of previous KEY VNs twists here and thus it make Summer Pockets quite fit as first KEY VN to play, or perhaps can also be treated as nostalgia for veteran KEY player. As for the translation, at first Alka is the one who handle this, but later Visual Arts decided to localize this and they released this back at February. With Reflection Blue release, Alka decided to work on that and they also decided to reworking the original version translation seeing that they're not satisfied with the official translation. As for the premise, we have Hairi who experienced some unpleasant incident decided to go to the island where his late grandmother did reside in order to recover. From there he'll get introduced with the four girls who one way or another will have the romance with him. Forgot to say that while Summer Pockets twists like KEY past VNs, the main writer here is Niijima Yuu in which it made Summer Pockets as the second work of him that was translated after Majokoi. As for the opening, I'll use the one from the original version because it has nice 2D animation and Reflection Blue keep it anyway.
That's all for my list this year, and as for my honorable mention I'll name Yuki Koi Melt, Ouka Sabaki, Rhapsody, and Iwaihime. Overall for 2020 I can say that Nekonyan did being aggressive by releasing several interesting title at once, although I guess I can say that Mangagamer is not so bad considering the year that we have here (If anything else I'll look forward to their Musicus release later). Also this year we have Shiravune which as we know is DMM branch, I'll look forward to see what kind of feat that they'll be able to do in the future even though their VNs lineup is not as interesting as Nekonyan yet. To conclude this, I'll look forward to what both of Nekonyan and Shiravune can do later along with some potential interesting releases at 2021 later.
PS - As for the title, I combined both of the opening song title from both of Makeover (Girls' Carnival) and Summer Pocket (Alkatale), so we have 'Girls' Tale' for the title here

littleshogun got a reaction from dannyboo for a blog entry, The White Labyrinth Review
Since we have White Album 2 translation project and Amayui Labyrinth Meister interface patch released, I decided to parodied this sport documentary movie title (The White Maze) so we have 'The White Labyrinth' as this week VNTS Review title (And it would be still fitting for the movie title anyway seeing that 'labyrinth' is the synonym for 'maze'). Welcome to this week and as for this week, plain is a way to say it nicely and quite dry would be a blunt way to say it. That said, perhaps we can say that it's a breather after big release (ie Muramasa) at the last week, although it didn't mean that there's nothing to talk about here because we still have some updates from fan translation and JAST did teased about their new six licenses (If anything else, at least fan translation updates here is more than make up for this plain week). Let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well
Cherry Kiss did plan to release their license at 10th later. You should know what type of the VN that they'll release, in that it's yet another nukige and the premise is there's an arrogant elf who forcefully transferred into the real world and our MC did a good job to make the elf as his slave so much that the elf become masochist (It's in the title duh). We also have one sudden release of an old VN (Or rather old adventure game) with the name Mirrors, and by old I mean it's 31 years old VN (Released at 1990) and can only be played in modern computer through the use of emulator (It's for PC-88). The premise is we have our musician MC was haunted by terrible nightmare which is he was stalked by someone who want to kill him in the dream, so naturally we'll help the MC to solve his own problem in that it'll lead to multiple ending. Well go get Mirrors if you're in the mood to play an adventure game from 1990 (The link for patch download), and have fun.
We have quite a number of updates from fan translation, so let's round up the updates here. For the updates, we have Chaos Head Noah common route was at 99.21% translated in which it bring the overall was at 99.43% translated along with 20.31% TLC-ed, Chiccakunai Mon was at 81.3% translated along with 6.5% passed the first editing, Loverable was at 97.41% edited, Harugi was at 23% edited, and the editing work on Taimanin Kurenai was stopped in order to do some proofreading on with the current progress is that he's already done 10% of it. As promised I'll talk about Sukiuso progress in which it has significant progress in which it's been at past halfway (59%) translated along with 5% TLC-ed and 2% edited, and the team did aim to release this at mid 2022 later. Other than those updates, there's also some big updates from Axanael and Akagoei although like Sukiuso at last week I'll save those two updates for my next VNTS Review. Lastly there's some update on White Album 2 playtesting with one Closing Chapter route (Koharu) was finished playtesting, and the team might need to work until November to received the reports on playtesting results.
Lastly we have JAST sort of teased us about the six new licenses at their tweet. While in the past I'm sort of feeling complicated because their slow release pace, right now I would say that I look forward to what kind of the licenses that they have seeing that they've been improving the release pace compared to a year ago (As in their release pace can suddenly rival Mangagamer in this year) and one of those might be interesting title. Anyway I did assume that one of the license might be Flowers Hiver, although seeing that JAST did try to keep the new licenses secret and that they already sort of reveal they've been working on Flowers Hiver safe to say that the new licenses might not included Flowers Hiver. In any case, perhaps one of the license might be Tokyo Necro if one want to be hopeful seeing that JAST manage to release two big Nitroplus title in recent years (Kimikoi and Muramasa).
That's all for this week VNTS Review and sorry if it's been quite short. See you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from Dreamysyu for a blog entry, Full Metal Gorilla Review
Since we have both of Muramasa and Parquet was released at this week, I decided to make this week VNTS Review title as 'Full Metal Gorilla'. As for the reason 'Full Metal' here is should be obvious in that it's Muramasa translated full title (Full Metal Daemon Muramasa), while for 'Gorilla' it's because we have Touyama Nao voicing Parquet heroine and for the info she also voiced Chitoge at Nisekoi anime in that Chitoge got the nickname 'Gorilla'. As for this week, the most obvious biggest release here would be Muramasa in which it's one of very well received VN that many did wish for it to be translated. Other than Muramasa, we also have Nekonyan released Parquet and Mangagamer did release Uchikano as well, so overall this week is quite a big one if we talk from the number of the release. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
We also have Sayooshi full English translation patch in which it's very surprising because it's from the new translator instead of the old one. The thing is though the translation was quite rough, and that the translator did delete the patch so that there's no way to get Sayooshi in English by using that patch (Although considering that it's release date was at 28th and that it took a day to be deleted safe to say that the patch was already spread through one way or another). Sayooshi itself is a denpa VN that said to have good atmosphere in that it'll featured a teacher MC who suffer some pressure when it come to become a good teacher because he find himself lusting to his female student, and from what I see apparently whether the MC can be said to be sympathetic or not is quite questionable to a degree. Anyway I can only say that you may check Sayooshi translation if you can somehow get it and curious whether the translation is really acceptable or not, although seeing that the translator decided to move on from this perhaps you should read this with caution.
Mangagamer did released Uchikano back at 26th, and as usual they announced their next release in which they'll release Namaiki at September 30th later. I can only say it should be obvious that Mangagamer next release is not Sona-Nyl, but at least it should be good VN to look forward if one want to have three siblings of dark elves have sex with the MC who is basically their illegimate brother. Back to Uchikano, the premise of is that we'll have the MC who is the office worker somehow get to live together with his (Female) childhood friend who is about to graduate from the high school, and from there both of MC and his childhood friend will have some romance along with some sex scenes (Duh). Go get Uchikano if you're in the mood of reading some VN that feature single heroine (It seems that recently there's a lot of this kind of VNs getting translated), and have fun. Oh yes there's still no info whether Mangagamer will license the rest of Uchi series or not, but seeing that Sekai manage to get Seiiki trilogy license perhaps it's only matter of time to see Mangagamer license the rest of Uchi series.
Speaking of Sekai, this week we also have them give the updates for their project, with the biggest one is that they manage to get Rewrite+ fully translated and edited which make sense seeing that they already set the Steam store for it and that they'll try to release it at Q4 2021 later (I'm not sure that they can do it, but still good luck to them in regard of that). For the rest of the updates, we have Kimagure was at three quarter in QA, Amairo Chocolata 2 was halfway translated, ReLord 3 was at 95% edited, Slobbish Dragon Princess 2 was fully edited, Yumeiro was at 12% translated, and Amatsutsumi was at a quarter in QA. Lastly we also have Sekai did update their secret project with the current progress was at 45% translated, and from how fast the translation work on this is perhaps the VN itself would be a short one (It would be nice if it's Nine Shinshou seeing that Palette did goes all out to make it all age in which I assume that they preparing to sell it on Steam).
Sayooshi controversy aside, we have several updates from fan translation as well. As for the updates, we have Moe's route of Akagoei was fully translated and therefore the next route that was currently being worked on was Tsuki's route, Loverable was at 96.87% edited, Sumino's route of Snow was fully translated and the translator will translate Ouka's route next, and Taimanin Kurenai was at 35% edited. Other than those updates, we also have ZAP released the interface patch for Amayui Labyrinth Meister back at 20th so you can understand the gameplay of it if you've been wanting to play the newest Eushully's VN there. I know that there's an update in regard of Sukiuso from Kakugo translation, but I'll save the talk of it for next VNTS Review.
We have Nekonyan did release Parquet, and as we know it's the very first Yuzusoft all age VN that they made by themselves so obviously you shouldn't worried about the censored sex scenes in case anyone wonder. For the premise we have our MC who is a blank slate that involved in an illegal experiment that uploaded a lot of memories into his brain in order to create a new being. Obviously he has a lot of confusion toward his own identity thanks to the experiment, so he decided to set himself to search his own true self. On his first step, he met two girls (The heroines) who also the victims of the experiment and from there the MC befriended two girls. While the premise sounds serious with uploading memories into brain in order to make a new being and all, in the end it's still Yuzusoft VN so of course you should enjoy the character interaction and comedy (No sex scenes for obvious reason). Go get Parquet if you want to try it or want more Yuzusoft VNs, and have fun.
As we know the biggest release at this week is Muramasa in which we finally have JAST released it back at 25th after they teased it since way back at 2012. Muramasa itself is one of very well received VNs that said to have a lot of thought provoking theme, although whether it's true or not is depend on each other (At least late Conjueror think like that). In Muramasa we have Kageaki who is work as policeman that solve the cases, and he has a goal to kill a certain person for the revenge. It should be noted that the arc word of this VN is 'This is not a hero's story' and therefore Kageaki here is more or less like Sayooshi's MC in that whether he's sympathetic or not can be quite questionable to a degree because of his actions to reach the goals can be said as quite awful to say it lightly. Oh and don't forget that there'll be a lot of death, which make sense considering that it share same writer as Hanachirasu that also has a lot of death. Get Muramasa if you're curious on whether the good score is justified or not and want to find out about that, and have fun.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
