  1. Natsu no Ame - MC is a popular football player in their school, untranslated though Swallowtail - A bit of a polarizing work, personally I liked it. The MC is extremely popular and referred to as handsome by the school, has a lot of ex-relationships with some heroines. Also untranslated Kind of hard to find vn's with a handsome or popular MC, usually it's just "average" mc

  3. Hi Zalor, I'm not sure if you'll ever see this response to a post you made in 2017. I see you made a recent blog post in 2021, so maybe you are still active in this forum. Regardless, on the off chance you do see this... I just want to thank you sincerely for taking the time to make this post. I'm sure it took a few hours (probably more) of your time to write something like this up, but you really did impact the enjoyment of Subahibi for me (and so many others! Your Subahibi post alone has 18k views now). I followed a link on reddit.com/r/visualnovels post discussions to your Subahibi post here. I had just finished the EndSky2 ending, and was doing some post-game web-reading to close out the experience. Looking up other peoples posts about their experience in the VN, see some plot interpretations, research anything I may have missed about the endings, etc. I've read hundreds of books and quite a few VNs, but I've never done a "re-read". Your blog post convinced me to re-read Chapter0 (DTRH1), and I'm sooooo thankful I did. It's a very cathartic experience for Zakuro, after what she went through in Ch4. A lot of her dialogue in DTRH1 now makes so much more sense, and it brings me much needed closure for her character. I'm aware of the Zakuro-Kimika ending, but DTRH1 is like the happy "canonical-end-sky-ending" for Zakuro. I greatly encourage anyone whose finished all 3 endings in Subahibi to re-read DTRH1. Pay close attention to what Zakuro says to Yuki near the end of the bar-scene, after Yuki gets done playing the piano (which is another callback to ch4). Anyways, thank you for this Zalor, and I hope your VN journeys continue :)

  4. All the positive guys need to understand the other perspective as well. Many many projects have failed as can be seen on this forum. You need to understand that a public announcement like this carries consequences and some responsibility (if you don't wanna get criticized) - people can get mad even if it is a passion project, after all something has been announced and in a way promised. Keep in mind this has been in translation since 2017 and is still not out. OP hadn't posted in the thread for a full year. New people can come in and see that seemingly nothing has been happening recently and ask questions. There is nothing wrong with some argumented criticism and some people are more pessimistic which in my opinion is fine. Coupled that there was no communication for a while and suddenly very slow progress + the reddit comment I think it was not too far fetched to cast some doubt at the time. To the negative guys: Now is it somewhat of an jerk thing to come in and declare the project dead and spread panic so to say after not too much time has passed since the last progress update, yeah it might be. And after all it is a passion project - we are not owed anything and as pessimists you should understand that this TL patch might never come out at all considering all the abandoned projects. Considering we've already gotten a partial patch and progress has been ongoing for years, a sudden cancellation seems somewhat unlikely. Considering his years long engagement I think the main translator would tell us if he suddenly decided to stop the project if he had the opportunity to. Also progress never truly stopped, it just became very slow. At the end of the day what we need is communication between the TL team and the forum here so stuff like this doesn't happen. When progress almost crawls to a halt and nothing has been posted it's obvious some people will feel uneasy after checking the thread for a few years now. I feel like both sides had something to say but neither is completely right. Just blindly believing it will come out no matter what(this seems to me naive or at least too positive, after all people have expectations and projects often fail, and this is a discussion board + the happy-go-lucky attitude doesn't go with a lot of people) or declaring the project dead(which I wasn't convinced at all at the time - there was progress made, just very slow so it was an active project and just sayings it's dead is false and can confuse new people) is no good.

    Fuwanovel Confessions

Confession, I haven't read and completed a visual novel, (outside of what I translate,) for over a year and a half now. Also I still have a beard. Beards are cool.
