  2. And that one turned out pretty bad in the end. Lots of promises that were made for Dies irae back then weren't delivered, and lots of people considered it a mess, complaining about how it was handled. Mind you, this was at the time light was still run by the original management. This new management seems even less competent, and honestly, I'd feel very reluctant to back a new Kickstarter, should one come. I'd gladly buy a finished product that has a proper localization, but I wouldn't throw my money at another Kickstarter potentially run by someone who can't handle the project. Also, this thing with petitions is sorta funny to me. Like, what's stopping pirates from also signing it up? Heck, what's stopping us to sign it multiple times under different names, LOL? I don't see how this would be a sure way to prove there's demand for it

  3. Team Beyond has started developing its Fading Sky pilot project! Fading Sky is a visual novel storytelling game. This is a tragic and sad story set in a fantasy world after a global magical catastrophe. We were inspired by a series of games like Fate (Fate/stay night, Fate/Zero), Science Adventure (Steins;Gate, Chaos;Head), and of course Utawarerumono. GAMEPLAY The main features of the Fading Sky gameplay: - narration in the style of a visual novel with full voice acting (in English and Russian). - two main characters, the player's choice. - non-linear story with a choice. - the ability to influence the fate of two worlds at once. - Thoughtful and detailed dark fantasy setting. - study of the history of the world and characters. - torn pages of the book "The myths of Arret" describing the history of the world of Arret, which can be found in the most unexpected places in the game world. - more than 10 story endings. - eroge-element for PC versions of the game as a separate patch. GRAPHIC ARTS Fading Sky is a 2.5D RPG with fully animated scenes and characters. FullHD native resolution (1920 x 1080). A team of talented artists is working on this. PLOT AND CHARACTERS Fading Sky will tell you a tragic tale of the last moments of Arret's world. A story about those who will witness this, together with whom you will learn the history of the rise and fall of this once beautiful world. The tension of our story will strike from the very beginning of the narrative and will increase as the reason for which three of our contemporaries ended up in this dying world is clarified. In an attempt to understand what is happening, they will somehow close the last chapter of this mysterious story. LORE Inspired by various fantasy stories and a little bit of Celtic mythology, we created our own universe, which we called Fading Dimension or simply FD. This is elaborate lore, at many the era before the events of this game. We hope that Fading Sky will become just a small island in the Sea of Void of our history and a starting point for the implementation of all our ideas. We are also working on a card game in the FD universe rewound several eras before the start of the disaster. TECHNICAL PART The game is being developed on the studio's own engine FadingEngine, which is built on C++, OpenGL, and FMOD technologies, which allows the project to be ported to almost any of the well-known gaming platforms, from Windows/Linux to iOS/Android and even PS/XBOX. AS AN INTRODUCTION TO STORY History turns into legends, legends into myths, myths into fairy tales that are quickly forgotten. Perhaps once the world was different, lived according to different laws and unspoken rules, carried other creatures and other plants on its body. Served as a book for thousands of forgotten but massive stories. One of these stories has not yet received a full ending. Although its beginning has long been forgotten, the trace still stretches from the depths of eras and grows with a heavy echo with each shift of hands of the world clock. The beginning of the story has long been forgotten... but its end is near, and it will touch the three inhabitants of the city of Bristol, which is located somewhere in the British Isles. 2026, May 13th. From the very morning, it was raining, and the sky did not clear up that day again... NEAREST PLANS Soon, we plan to release a demo version of the game (Fading Sky: One dream before), which will become the zero chapter of the whole story, i.e. it will be a separate short backstory a few hours before the main plot of Fading Sky. We are also planning to release a trailer, where we are ready to show both an animated introduction to the game and some of the gameplay itself (where we will try to do without story spoilers). After that, we hope to launch the company on Kickstarter or Pathreon (we haven't decided exactly yet, but we already have interesting material rewards for our future bakers). We are glad that we have begun work on this project and sincerely hope that you will like it. See you soon in the spaces of FD! With you was a game designer and programmer, composer and screenwriter, and a little more the head and producer of the Fading Sky project German Espoir.

  4. Hey Novellers! I'm a newbie here, but with decent knowledge of indie game development. I always liked visual novels, and especially FF series' storytelling concepts. I wanted to make my own visual novel (mixed with RPG elements), but was too bored to learn Ren'Py, and couldn't afford Visual Novel Maker. So I started to build my own visual novel engine, and I think it turned out pretty good. I though it could be useful for others too, so I just released it - for FREE! The game engine's URL: https://talefab.com/ My main focus points were: No coding required Short learning curve, but deep enough to make a decent game Items with interactions and conditioning Easy branching The product is released now, and I just made some test games: A short visual novel: https://talefab.com/game-preview/the-lost-amulet-g1.html An escape room: https://talefab.com/game-preview/escape-from-my-home-g11.html A word learning educational game: https://talefab.com/game-preview/find-lucifer-g2.html A demo game, which can be imported in a new project: https://talefab.com/game-preview/find-lucifer-g2.html Feel free to register, create and play games, and share your opinion. Your voice matters! PS: some screenshots

  5. Been looking for VN's to add to my read order. I really get sick fast of extremely light romcoms that are a dime a dozen today. I mean if they're well made, I read them but its so hard for me to find something that's well made and like that. But a somber or serious romance even if it's just an 8/10, i enjoy it a lot. Something like Aonatsu Line. By specifics on what I mean by the atmosphere, im not saying its deadly serious. I mean something like the setting doesn't really require you to suspend your disbelief, or something like suddenly a transfer student comes in and she introduces herself and she knows you and the class goes what?!?!?!, lucky bastard. Its so far away from normal human beings act that I get annoyed. Something like the following: White Album 2( This is the perfect example of an atmosphere of a VN I am particularly looking for) Kimi no Nagori, Natsu no Ame, Steins;Gate 0( yes this is not a romcom but the atmosphere im thinking of is something like that, its a serious and somber atmosphere ), Aonatsu Line

  6. Not going to comment on any of the other parts or whether this seems like a workable idea in general, but you should run waifu2x-caffe locally on your own to process as many images with as crazy parameters as you want, rather than burden a public website with the load.

  7. ef, although it may not be so obvious in the first route. Symphonic Rain Aster Himanatsu (the lightest of the bunch but not quite moege) Koinaku Shinikiss Yosuga no Sora (similar to Natsu no Ame since same director and related brand) Not sure about suspending disbelief though, some of these have a few supernatural elements.

  8. This is preview of the new album from Yoko Matsuura, released on 2021-01-11. Yesterday the CD safely arrived in my mailbox, after crossing over 9000km I love it, it's really heartwarming and uplifting (I think I might have also fallen for her, even though I know it's rather pointless...)

  9. I know that I probably like this at several occasions in the past, but as for this I'll say that the petition here is less on show Light that Silverio has enough demand and more on the petition maker is (Pardon my lack of better word beforehand) an entitled one for try to force Light to translate Silverio even though it's pretty clear that Light themselves refuse to translate it. Okay to be fair I also hoping several VNs would be better to be translated, although as for making petition here I would say that action was really push it too far. That said, if something can really come from the petition, and I mean IF something can really come from the petition I'll admit that the petition here is really useful although as of now I won't count on it. Lastly if you ask me on when Light will localize Silverio, then I'll just say when they ready for it and secured some resources to do that. PS - As for Change.org while several petitions here are quite successful, there's also much more failed petitions in which the number of the signatures at those failed petitions might be higher than the number of signatures at the successful petitions.

  10. I wonder how many of the people who sign this petition actually would end up paying for the VN. Considering how widespread piracy seem to be in the VN community I wonder how many of the votes are just people who want it translated to then pirate it versus those that plan to actually buy it. I just hope it doesn't end up where they localize it due to the petition and it sells really bad and that ends up with the japanese visual novel companies in general having more disstrust towards the english readerbase.

  11. Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai! S https://vndb.org/v6245 Introduction Good day everyone. This is the Maji de watashi ni koishinasai! S Walkthrough for the currently patched fully translated game. I made this first to fully explore the content of the game but since I’ve made a good progress with writing my own walkthrough, might as well share it with everyone. This is the sequel for the first Majikoi game which shows the future for the five main heroines while adding five more additional heroines to conquer. It’s great right? Since this is rated 18+, please be noted that there are a number of scenes that are for mature audiences. Falling under the said age is not advisable to play this game. With that said, have fun playing the game. GAME START! Description Majikoi is back and better than ever in this sequel to hit 2009 visual novel. Majikoi S takes place after the events of Majikoi and lets you choose which of Majikoi’s many endings to proceed from. Choose your favorite heroine and enjoy new romantic events with her, or choose to start with no commitment and romance one of 5 new heroines. - J-List Things to be noted before starting the game When starting the game for the first time, you are required to fill in your birth date. I recommend having a date closer to the actual date. This will give you an easy access to the Birthday Mode in the Extras rather than waiting for your actual birthday to view this mode. Well, you would be lucky if your actual birthday is near that you don’t have to adjust the date just to view this early. There is a random glitch where the game gives a completely different scenario when choosing from the dialogue box. It’s easy to notice based on what choice you pick and what the dialogue/ text comes after. When this happens, just reload to the previous choices and pick again. Tatsuko’s route needs to be played twice for the Clear mark to appear in the Future Selection screen. Childhood unlocks after completion of all 10 routes. (Momoyo, Kazuko, Miyako, Yukie, Chris, Tsubame, Monshiro, Margit, Kokoro, Tatsuko). Future where you are an acquaintance of Takae unlocks after all routes are completed. After completion, an ALL CLEAR!! text should appear on the top right of the Future Selection screen. By the end of this walkthrough, The CG, Music, Replay, Event and Movie Collection are completed. Try to go for choices that you haven’t pick to see a different scene. Choices with [sAVE] and [LOAD SAVE] are choices needed to proceed to the end of each chosen routes while then you are free to choose any choice for the ones not marked. Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order The suggested playing order is listed below for those who wanted to play the game efficiently. You can also play this by following this order: Kosugi > Common Route > Tsubame > Monshiro > Margit > Kokoro > Agave After > Tatsuko > Future with Momoyo/Kazuko/Miyako/Yukie/Chris > Childhood Route Guideline Kosugi Route Future with Kosugi Continued Common Route 2nd year 1st semester (Clear) Future without a relationship Future with Momoyo S After Future with Kazuko S After Future with Miyako S After Future with Yukie S After Future with Chris After +S After Tsubame Route Future Where Tsubame Takes the Lead Future Where Yamato Takes the Lead Monshiro Route Monshiro Route Continued Margit Route Margit Route Continued Kokoro Route Future with Hermit Crabs S After Agave After Tatsuko Route Childhood Koyuki Route [LOAD SAVE 12] Fuck her hard. CG 123 [12/12]; CG 124 [4/4] Future with Chousokabe Iyo Route Future with Shima Future with the Maids Yumiko Route Another Future with Miyako Another Future with Miyako-1 Another Future with Miyako-2 Another Future with Miyako-3 Future Where You're An Acquaintance of Takae Attribution This walkthrough is based on the walkthrough from seiya-saiga.com which I adjusted based on the fully translated patch provided by our translators. Please check this walkthrough if there is something amiss Admin/Moderator-san. Thanks
