  1. @Plk_Lesiak - some really good stuff there Yesterday I heard Mariya Takeuchi's "Let's Get Married" again, and it reminded me about the thing we talked about earlier - how some of that '70s/'80s Jpop feels similar to our pop scene from that time. I mean, I instantly remembered this Anna Jantar's song: And well, just have a look at that music video - you could easily swap Anna with Seiko Matsuda there, and nobody would notice (if not for the language difference )

  2. An inherently contradictory statement/a statement or word that contradicts itself. Edit: To be a bit less snide, Japanese doesn't translate well enough to dignify the word. It can be interpreted, it can be channeled, etc, but translated isn't the word I'd use for our attempts to get across what is being said/written. The more you learn about the language, the more you realize how incompatible the way of thinking and cultural background is with English. It's like the way the native Hawaiians have so many words for the various forms of molten rock... nuance is the first sacrifice of any attempt to translate a language that different from our own.

  4. Once again good video there, although you did miss Sakuramori release though. About Genesis, well it surely would have a lot of sex scenes seeing that even VNDB categorized it as nukige, so yeah I'll pass it. As for Alka, rather than both of Miagete FD and Kud Wafter my focus is on whether they can keep their pace for Reflection Blue later or not, but of course the new projects are always welcome. For Saya no Uta, I can't comment on that other than JAST should do some checking before distributing the hardcopy. Speaking about hardcopy, I did remember Aokana hardcopy KS and actually Switch release here is actually one of their promise back at KS, so nice to see that Nekonyan can fulfill another of their obligation (Recently they did post at their KS update in that they already have the sample for the box). No much to say for Majikoi A series, but at least only two games left to have all of Majikoi games to be translated (With the assumption that there'll be no more Majikoi project, although apparently we'll have another one). In the end, I can say that April as quite a nice month with two big VNs releases (To me), Makeover and Sakuramori. And seeing that they (Nekonyan) already almost complete with Hello Lady, I guess we may have the release for that in this year as well although it's more or less just my wishful thinking though.

  5. The same day I heard Yoko Matsuura, I've also heard this: Guess kind of humble beginnings of eurobeat This song is a funny case. It's a cover of italo disco song. Actually, UK made one. So, I guess, euro-disco then? Nevertheless, original was this: And it's interesting, because lyrics are completely different (it isn't the translation of Angie Gold's version), making them effectively different songs sharing the same melody. English song is angry, breakup/revenge song, while Japanese version is very lighthearted, with girl hunting at the disco for her "cinderella boy" What's more, Yoko Oginome release also english version, which is the translation of JP one. I have to say - I prefer both covers than the original (for some reasons the embedding seems to be temporarily broken...)
