  1. Ninetail Director Keimaru responded to feedback on the Prefundia on Twitter, which I translated on my Twitter account with retweets linking back to the originals. I've aggregated the Tweets here, starting with this one. "Reception [of the Venus Blood Frontier Prefundia] has been generally favorable, but one request that has stood out is to add an editor to the team. We're currently examining this. "Ninetail's games truly have a ton of text and the cost of translation is no joke, making this a difficult situation. "Though I think the situation has changed considerably, a previous translation estimate for a certain Venus Blood title rang up at $300,000--just for the translation--and we gave up. For this campaign, that would work out to 75% of a $400k goal, and [would be] completely infeasible. "Like magic, we managed to reduce the cost by 2/3, so it's painful to start piling on more costs again. If the goal were $200k that would be one thing, but that seems like a pretty infeasible target. "But I do want to respond to users' expectations as much as possible. I think we've responded to almost every other request fans made of us with the Prefundia announcement. Adding this as a stretch goal is certainly one possibility, but right now I'm not sure [about contractual feasibility?]. We'll look into it."

    VN: Ecchi Sensei

Hello fuwanovel Community, I want to tell you something about my very first 3D-Adult Visual Novel I'm actually creating: ❀ Game Title: ❀ Ecchi Sensei ❀ Hard Facts: ❀ 42k written words ❀ ❀ 1500 Pictures ❀ ❀ over 60 Decisions and some with real gamechanging effects ❀ ❀4k+ Graphic sizes❀ ❀ Genres with including subgenres: Slice of life, Drama, School, Family, Teacher, Education, Comedy ❀ ❀ Game features: Decisions (over 60), Namechange, Interactions, Health bar, 35+ characters at the age 9 - 50+. Every character has a unique personality and their own story ❀ Erotic content and fetishes: Cosplay, Couple sex, Sexfriend, Harem, Reverse gangbang, Dirty talk, Rape, Reverse Rape, Blackmailing, BDSM, Boob job, Handjob, Blowjob, Deepthroat, Foot job, Anal, Masturbation, Yuri, Incest, Molesting, Milf, Lolicon ❀ Background Story: You (32 Years) are a family father of 4 kids (18, 15, 13, and 9 Years) and your wife is (33) (You can change the first name for every 6 characters) moved after a job-offerte to a small town. In this town was built a giant school with modern facilities and a big dorm for their students. This school is a project hosted by the japanese education minister and his wife who plays the role as the principal of the school. The project implements a new way of education system where the teachers can freely decide what the students learn. You are the teacher of the this years very first graduating class. Your job will be to improve your students grades and prepare them for becoming a part of society. In this school, where only female students are allowed, is a new male teacher a sensation. Everyone is talking about the new male teacher's arrival since weeks. The first day of the game starts with your first day at school. You recently moved into a fancy new house and have no plan what to expect. Your are very smart, nosy, a great thinker and a daydreamer, a bit lazy, sadistic, but on the other side also helpful, and of course, very pervy.. Your 2 main missions are to keep your family intact, and raise the grades of your students. But. There are 2 big problems. The first one lays in your family. Your eldest daugter is your step-daughter, and since you and your wife told her that you are not her real father, she distanced herself far far away from you. But she will come into your class, so you see this as a Chance to come closer with her again. The second problem is your class. Most of them have good grades, but there are also some deliquents, or lazy, or just stupid people into it. Game state: Release Date: 14.July.18 Story: 100% Dialogues: 100% Character Creation: 100% Animation: 100% GFX: 80% Sound: 0% Scripting: 0% As i thought about creating a western Visual Novel, I decided to try to comfort as much as possible with the player. You will ever have the option. You dont like Character XY? No problem, you will be asked if you want to have sex with them. There is also always a option where to release your load, and you often can decide the sexposition. My biggest focus was the story, the dialogues and authentic characters. All this work is just for the first ingame day. I will release every month a new day in similar lengh. I played a lot of other Visual Novels. Original japanese and western ones, and I can say that I never played a game like mine. So.. I would be very happy for every feedback you are willing to give me.

  6. What I hate most is text. Not all text, but rather text, which can be removed or rewritten to be less than 1/4 of the length without losing any contents or storyline. This is particularly true for H scenes, but all age scenes often does this as well. I don't mind long VNs if they have contents to justify the length. Getting the feeling somebody missed a line quota in a scene and then quickly fixed with no contents is not a nice reading experience.

  7. Makes sense. We are dealing with a water chasing heroine after all. I did a background check. She seems to be 8620. I can't find water capacity or consumption directly, but based on the other numbers available, my estimate is something like 10 tons/hour at full load and 20 ton capacity, which would make the engine require water stops every second hour. Even with a fair amount of uncertaincy in those numbers, I would say we likely have the most water loving/consuming heroine ever. Another thing. My research has uncovered the next otaku gathering point: Ome Railway Park (青梅鉄道公園) in Tokyo.

  8. As for the heroines who like Momoyo, I can only think of two as of now. The first one is Hinaori Kagome from Comyu, while for the second one Koshigoe Maki from Tsujidou is the closest one. Hope it'll answer your request.

  12. Lazy storytelling techniques and the abundance of cliches that repeat themselves almost in every single VN. Like, why exactly do we have to set almost every single VN in a high-school? The whole eroge-centeredness is also starting to get on my nerves. For some reason, even all-ages VNs usually have the same eroge-like structure where you assume the role of a male protagonist surrounded by a company of cute girls, and the goal is to start relationship with one of them. I guess, it mostly exists for fan-service reasons, though I'd love if we had an increase in the amount of VNs with actually extensive choice systems that would do things more creatively.

  13. Bath scenes are so easy to censor though, I would be surprised if they risked completely butchering the whole game instead of adding a few convenient clouds of steam. I'm not touching the 18+ version for sure, so I guess I'll be curiously looking for info on how they managed the censorship before I decide whether I'm even interested in buying it at all - I was going to wait for it to go on sale anyways, if it's not Flowers I'm never in a hurry. ;p

  14. Yeah, that and give me my SU45 waifu (seriously, for me it's the most beautiful loco ever, don't know why) I'm going with all-ages version for this VN - reasons similar to Poltroon's.

  16. My only complaint is there's no EU07 in the game What controversy? Maitetsu is an all-ages title with silly fanservice h-scenes added later on as a downloadable bonus (that's Lose for you). Those aren't canon and you don't need the 18+ version at all. I'm more concerned by the fact the story present in Maitetsu is... not even nowhere as good as in Monobeno, not to mention Gothderi. It has nice art, tho.

  17. Yes, you have to buy the original game in Japanese, install it and then install the patch over it. I don't know websites where you can buy them, but someone else may help you with this. The patching system is usually very simple. The fan groups upload an exe file that does all the work by itself. If not, there are other easy ways to install. You should look into each website for more information about patching, as the methods may vary. Speaking of Rewrite, although it's been a long time since we've heard about it, there is an official release of it in English in the future. Maybe you should wait a little more before reading it. Since you got interested on it, why not try other games from Key, the developer, that are already available in english? Clannad, Little Busters, Planetarian just to start.

  18. I hate high schools. I hate school representatives. I hate the archetypal glasses girl. I hate childhood friends. I hate promises made to childhood friends. I hate boring ass, dumbass, protagonists. I hate the shitty best friend character whose only reason for existing is to make the boring ass, dumbass, protagonist look better by comparison. I hate shitty writing in the sex scenes. I hate how every single heroine is a virgin with no sexual experience whatsoever. I hate annoying sister/not my sister characters who won't just fuck off! I hate any character who talks in third person. May they be impaled by rusty spikes. I hate characters who have some unspecified malady that makes them weak all the time and then die suddenly. I hate neo tsunderes. I hate how most women in the sex scenes hardly seem to be enjoying themselves at all? I hate pointless misunderstandings. I hate when two characters decide to just ignore each other instead of having an actual fucking discussion. I hate characters who interrupt two other characters important conversation mid sentence. I hate how they treat the interruption as a cue for the conversation being over even though they can totally still talk. Finish what you were fucking saying! I hate the complete lack of knowledge about how birth control works. I hate when two characters announce that they will love each other forever, even though they are still only in high school and they've only actually started dating. I hate negativity.

  19. I for one love male characters that are too good to be true, bless 2D to make them real, more of them please wwwwwwww Well, on topic now. What ruins characters for me is when they never grow beyond their only trait (like a tsundere that being a tsundere is her entire personality). What ruins the plot I think it's fake black and white morality. The heroes does a lot of questionable things and no one bats an eye. Worse yet, everyone sides with them like they were pure untainted saints. Meanwhile, the villains are treated as scum of the earth that always have bad intentions and then they give us a flashback just to show us they were always soooooo evil, mwahahaha! It's not thaaaaaat common a thing, but when this does happens it pisses me off.

  20. Lazy fight scenes. Honestly I wish more VNs would just use a manga-esque style for fight scenes. Funnily enough Cartagra does the "manga-style fight scenes" (I haven't read KNS 1 or 2 yet, maybe they do too), and it looks great. Of course, this demands more on the part of the artist(s). More broadly, I guess I'm asking for more artistic effort when it comes to these scenes, in whatever way it can be done. The "lazy" type I'm talking about are where CGs are reused, and the fights involve text and "colored slashes" on the screen, plus sound effects. This is the style in a lot of the highly rated VNs. It even includes some very action-scene oriented VNs where you'd expect there to be more artistic emphasis on the action. This problem might be because of budget issues.

  21. The average/idiot/lazy protagonist The harem protagonist with no qualities beyond being 'nice' Hetare protagonists Ladder-style choice and story structure (ex. G-senjou no Maou, Aiyoku no Eustia) Osananajimi heroines Failure to utilize setting to enhance the story/heroine paths Epilogues that end two weeks or a month after the events of the path in question. School settings (sorry, I'm just tired of this) Edit: Forgot this one... but protagonists that are immensely capable in the common route but become almost incompetent in the heroine routes.

  25. I think the art looks fine, pretty legit actually. It would definitely be enough for the western VN market (unless you're writing it in japanese for some reason?)

  27. To be honest, if the visuals are too low-quality, people like me won't even pay attention if the story isn't action-focused. Hardcore VN fans are hard to please, and I'm one of the prime examples of that particular group of fans (though I know it makes me sound like an ass to say so myself). To be blunt, if you can play VNs in Japanese, even only partially, you are spoiled rotten when it comes to the visual aspects. The low-water mark for successful commercial Japanese VNs, even by small companies, is higher than the high-water mark for the few western VN companies, frankly. Sorry, I'm a pessimist when it comes to this kind of thing... very few of the western VNs I've tried has managed to please me visually, and even fewer have managed it from a writing perspective. Still, if you can please people like me, you can probably please anyone on this side of the water.
