  3. And Suginami in DC II is way more cool than in DC III. He makes a good duo with Wataru.

  4. From someone who read DC III first: it won't do any harm if you play DC III first. Yet, you'd enjoy it a bit more if you complete DC II beforehand. As for DC III, all routes are necessary to unlock the true route. Ricca's route was fine, can't say the same form Himeno's, and Aoi's route was pretty good to me. Now, regarding DC II. I found Anzu's and Yume's better than the rest (always considering I'm more interested in drama than romance), still the true route was even better. I encourage you to play DC II before continuing with DC III.

    Registry Fix

I'm still not sure why you're not just running things off your hard drive to begin with, or putting them back in the same place they were (do you install the games on a stationary computer, put them on an external hard drive then bring them to your laptop or what? - just install them on your laptop then transfer the files to your external instead then...), but w/e maybe there are reasons. Every engine is different, so I can't give you a guide that works for everything. However, this is how you would generally do things. First, you need to find out what registry entries it needs while the VN is still installed. To do this, 1. Open up the registry editor (usually pressing the windows key and typing regedit then pressing enter works, otherwise google it) 2. Now find where the VN keeps its registry entries. Usually this is in HKEY_CURRENT_USER or maybe HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /Software/[insert developer, brand or VN name here]/[VN name, usually] Maki Fes doesn't actually use an install path registry entry, but I added a fake one that matches what I've seen 3. Note down the registry keys needed. An easy way to save the values is to use the export optiont that pops up when you right click a registry key in the left-hand view 4. When moving the VN elsewhere, you need to add these keys back. It's possible just double-clicking the .reg file will do it, but if any paths are different you will need to either open regedit afterwards and edit the entry, or change the .reg file before running it (you can open it with a text editor like notepad) A typical example ...And that's it, I guess. Different computers might want the keys to be in different top-level folders (CURRENT_USER vs LOCAL_MACHINE), but I'm not really an expert on that, try it out yourself if you're out of ideas I guess.

    What are you playing?

Just finished Kasumi's route from Dies Irae. So far, it feels like a Nitro-Plus VN with more technical writing, having a blast. Also, apparently Kasumi's route is crap is comparison to the others? Reminds me of when i first read Rewrite and i started with Chihaya, i loved that route and it turned out to be the worst one. Edit: Used a tiny holiday to do Kei's route and quite frankly, aside from the crazy finale it didn't feel that different from Kasumi's route. 2nd Edit: Did Marie and Rea. Marie's route was really good and i kinda think that the order between Marie and Kei could be done either way because Marie's introduces the Einharj Trio better IMO. Rea's route was just one of the most beautiful clusterfucks i've ever seen and my favorite route. Now on to the side stories.

    Registry Fix

Well, if you only want to move it once then firing up regedit, finding the registry entries the VN uses, and changing them to point to the new location usually works. This is how I used to fix registry entries for pre-patches back in the day; I made a batch file which automated this for the end user. If you're interested in how to make such a file I can provide examples. The other option is to somehow alter the program to not use registry entries, which would take reverse engineering the program code. If you knew how to do that, you would probably not be asking this question. You might be able to make a folder link to another physical location by using some of the linking options in windows. This is somewhat annoying to set up in my experience and I'm not sure if it'd fundamentally solve your problem (what do you actually want to achieve with this moving files thing?). Be careful when using regedit, if you delete something the system needs you're in trouble. That's something you'd have to mess up pretty hard to do in my experience, but I'm not a normal person.

  8. Released in HD. For some reason this makes a lot of difference to me. I gotta finish Little Busters, then Rewrite and then I'm done with Key.

  9. Recommendations in bold~ You will probably like Key VN's. They start out happyish and slice of lifey, go into the problems in the routes, and end on a happy note. Clannad, little busters and rewrite were good. Misuzu's storyline in Air was good. Avoid Kanon. Grisaia series is also what you want. Moves away from the school themes later on. WHile the good endings are nice, some of the bad endings are absolutely incredible. The new Phantom Triggers are also half decent. These are action heavy towards the routes, so you may not want to pick these now. Majikoi also seems to fit what you want, maybe more than any other. Really light hearted. These have action, but it is more geared towards development. Pretty much anything by Overdrive. (Deardrops, Dengeki Stryker and Edelweiss). KiraKira has an ending that I guarantee you won't be feeling happy about. Avoid this, if you want only happy endings. Dengeki Stryker has fantasy overturned (plenty of it), but it is intentionally over the top, not something you would read too much into, and a really enjoyable read. My girlfriend is the President is mostly comedy, though some of the routes do have a decent plot. A lot of fun references, and a very enjoyable read. Probably in the above list, Key VN's are what you are looking for as they don't have much action or fantasy, have good endings and are generally good reads. They have a lot of funny moments as well.

  10. Well the MC was working as romcom ecchi manga though, so I think it make sense that you remind of H-manga when you play Wagahigh lol - perhaps it was deliberated there. Have fun for playing Wagahigh there.

  11. No. To Heart is set in the same universe but To Heart 2 is a standalone plain VN only (unlike the first To Heart.) I released it less than 2 months ago.

  12. I think your faux tough guy shtick is inherently incompatible with this VN. BTW, Yuma owns.
