  3. First, my congratulations for the project, it seems very consistent and beautiful, the plot seems very interesting and good to explore! I would love to help kickstarter, but I'm already collaborating with so many games that my budget is on the limit But without doubt I will help with the divulgation and I will help with feedback by answering your questions. What do you guys think? R: Very promising, particularly for me, I find very interesting paranormal and occult literature/plots Advice for how we can improve? R: In the kickstarter page says "romance with a variety of characters", I would like to take a look at the other characters, I think it is imperative to know all the possible romantic routes before downloading, At least for me, so it's very important to create a page in VNDB where you can put all the main and secondary characters and say a little about each one. Best/prefered social media? R: Facebook/Reddit How can we get more people to see this project? R: VNDB Page will be mandatory if you want to reach a large part of our community What are things we can do to generate more interest for our project? R: This will vary greatly as each person will have their own interests when looking for a VN, so i'll say mine: H-scenes, voiced characters, multiple endings, variety of choices. Good luck with Phantom Ban! looks really great and well-made, i hope i have helped

  4. You don't really need anything more than a dual core CPU (aside from intel Atom CPU's, they're weak), 2GB's of RAM and any decent mid-grade/budget gaming GPU, no matter how old and you can run any vn with ease, e-mote/live2d included. Even the new vn's running e-mote should be running smoothly, as long as you're using a modern operating system and your gpu drivers are up to date. W7 gives a significant performance boost over older systems thanks to it's updated driver database and better hardware management. I think the oldest PC I tried running Tenkiame on had an old Pentium D processor and some mid-grade radeon GPU back from it's period and even though it took considerably longer to load, it ran the game smoothly, even though transitions between scenes had a slight delay, due to longer memory loading times. E-mote is actually very lightweight and will run without issues on newest and older integrated GPU's, unless you're trying to force improve visual quality through driver settings. Obviously, you have to remember about one thing - as much as it's possible to run 1080p with W7 on older specs due to driver updates, older GPU's weren't meant to ever run at these resolutions; trying to run modern games in 1080p on old GPU's will result in considerable performance drops. Besides, most of these vn's are 720p by default, so you're still upscaling their graphics for nothing.

  5. It's not just you. Though I guess the writer achieved his aim of making us appropriately disgusted. This episode was the one that made me think this story is taking too long with not enough material, and it doesn't look like there's any resolution in sight anywhere at this rate.

  6. No. As I also mentioned in the review, there's nothing per se wrong with it, but that doesn't keep it from annoying me. I literally didn't understand quite a bit of the slang used in the translation, and that got in the way of my enjoying reading it at times. To be clear, it wouldn't bother me in the slightest if it was just using British spellings for words common to both dialects, but when it's frequently throwing in phrases like "taking the Mickey out of [x]" which I have to deduce the meaning of from context, it hurts the reading experience. For the most part, it's a small annoyance compared to the actual problem of crappy writing which we had in pretty much every VN TL until a few years ago, and still have rampant in fan translations, so I'm mostly willing to take that trade, but I'd still much rather have something without all the British slang. In some ways, it's exactly the same problem as an unnaturally stilted translation: it doesn't sound like the way people actually talk, in the language I see everywhere, hear everywhere, and speak, and which I've come to expect as the standard for stuff I'm reading. It's arguably not as bad ideologically as a stilted translation, in that literally nobody actually talks the way a stilted translation reads, but from the perspective of somebody who's reading occasional bouts of near-nonsense, it's not practically that different. I've read a lot of world literature, a lot of genre fiction, and a lot of VNs; none of the rest of them have had characters periodically taking the Mickey out of each other.

  7. Good job. Now time to move on to graduate school. A Master's Degree is the new Bachelor's.

  8. Characters other than DD use British slang fairly frequently, especially Rei and Shuji. I mentioned it in my review as something I didn't like and considered to be a questionable decision. I don't have examples handy and don't really feel like cracking the game open to find them, but it's there, for sure.

  10. Just here to re-emphasize u watch Bakuman. It's lengthy with 75 eps, but lots of good comedy/romance and a really nice storyline that I think you would enjoy. https://myanimelist.net/anime/7674/Bakuman I also throw a rec out to Kaichou wa Maid-sama. It's a cute funny show that gets more serious as it goes along. Hope this helps sate your hunger for rom/coms. https://myanimelist.net/anime/7054/Kaichou_wa_Maid-sama Also if you like Haikyuu, Major and Baby Steps are two other good shounen/sports shows. Baby Steps in particular has some romance worked in as well. https://myanimelist.net/anime/21185/Baby_Steps https://myanimelist.net/anime/627/Major_S1

  13. https://myanimelist.net/manga/57015/Jitsu_wa_Watashi_wa Jitsu wa watashi is a really funny romance manga, there's abit of relationship drama and there's some love triangles going on but they get resolved fairly quickly and the focus goes back to humour and the main pair. Its mostly a straight up happy slice of life with a relationship formed quite early in the manga. It surprised me since they usually keep that stuff for the end chapters not 1/3 of the way through lol. I say again, really funny . https://myanimelist.net/manga/15805/Tasogare_Otome_x_Amnesia Its a horror, mystery, romance. Good art, good story. Enjoyable romance moments with an endearing female lead. https://myanimelist.net/manga/42451/Horimiya slice of life, comedy, romance. No drama, focused of the main pair and their relationship. https://myanimelist.net/manga/52741/Hadi_Girl since you liked hajiotsu, you may like this. Its a cutesy story about a girl forced to woe a boy due to necessity at the beginning which turns to something else. She's shy, so you should get how the scenes would be like lol. https://myanimelist.net/manga/47617/Kyou_no_Yuiko-san cutesy innocent romance story about how a couple of high-schoolers manage their secret relationship. I wish there were more Bonnouji type manga too but alas, most people love drama. Have fun mate!

  18. Finished 凍京NECRO. It's probably not much of a surprise, given how this VN is presented, but 凍京NECRO is an example of what happens when you have way more flair than substance. Luckily for Nitro+, though - the flair is really fucking cool. This entire visual novel is just a ridiculous budget explosion. From throw-away one-time use sprites to the numerous 3D-animated fight scenes, 凍京NECRO does all it can to impress the reader with its presentation. And for what its worth, it works for the most part - the 3D is pretty iffy, and probably downright shit by western standards, but if you can look past that it is really enjoyable. The models, animations and particle effects might look decent at best, but they do make for some really cool scenes when they all come together. The story... is really good too, for the most part. It is fun and complex, full of crazy twist and turns in each of the four routes - but things start to fall apart a bit as soon as the plot tries to go outside the box. The story deals with life and death and what they mean - or so it'd like you to think, because it never really goes much deeper than the surface level. Just like the nonsensical sci-fi, it is there just to be entertaining rather than to send some profound message. It tries to, however, especially with the true route. Now don't get me wrong, the true route is presented in one of the coolest ways I've ever seen, and it's really exciting while it is all happening - but as soon as you stop to think about it it doesn't really make all that much sense. There is also this strange meta angle that doesn't quite stick the landing either - but it's not really given too much weight just like everything else, so it doesn't really detract from the overall enjoyment. All in all, I've enjoyed 凍京NECRO a lot - but no matter how hard Nitro+ might try, the next Muramasa it is not.
