I'm reading the story and it's quite fun thus far. Short summary of what happened before the first Solomon fight: > Baal asks him to use his third NP to finish off all the Servants invading the temple > Solomon tells him to fuck off cuz they're all immortals and the Servants will eventually burn out > Later on there's a monologue where Solomon keeps crying about having observed much sadness and sorrow and grief and shit and stuff and that they (yes, they) have decided God was wrong > "You're a visitor from far away and I ought to show you a king's hospitality, but alas, I am a misanthrope." (Taking some liberties on the phrases) > He then talks about his NPs. Second one is the current place they're in, a Reality Marble (actually an Imaginary Number Space) that exists outside time and space, the Temple of Time: Solomon. > His third NP is the ring of light on the sky. We originally thought it was meant to incinerate humanity itself but it's actually meant to incinerate our history's foundations (essentialy incinerating us anyway) > "These are the remnants of the people from those times, an amalgamation of everything that is and can be, a crystallization of mankind's history!" (More liberties cuz chuuni) > After some fluff, he finally gets to the point. > "Very well then. Our fun conversation ends here. I've been doing this summary for the brazillian community since lots of them can read as much english as they can japanese (which means they can't read for shit). I'll continue translating it for you guys if you want, though reddit, fgog and beast's lair are bound to have better summaries than mine.

Mhmm, dem VNs are notorious for requiring you to reinstall them rather than just being able to transfer files when switching devices due to the need for dem registry entries, only fix without having the disc to install would be to somehow find out what those registry entries are on your old comp and then RegEdit them into your new Lappy, but that's kinda..

When you install something, the computer creates lines in the registry, it modifies or creates system files, and other funky things happen. You can't just copy program files from one computer to another, you'll need to reinstall them.

Did you use save from some online source there? Because I'm sure that the first time you play Kamidori there's no option to unlock extra dungeon. If that's the case, I think you could just unlock the extra dungeon. But if it's your first time play Kamidori, obviously don't unlock extra dungeon there because the enemies lever were quite high (Around 90). Hope it'll be help.

merry Christmas to all of you, unfortunately this year has been an utter disaster so far.

Ha! All I drank was water. And you know the best part? For today we'll be bringing in three more main dishes for lunch. Meat this time, as per tradition. We don't have enough space to store the food, I think I'm beginning to understand Christmas' charitable nature. We just might have to go distributing food all over the place lest it rot entirely.

I received some nice cozy socks and a flannel shirt. These are some legit "you're now old, deal with it" gifts. My head also hurts from drinking too much.

As a living-alone person, I don't know what Christmas is

I got no cool gifts. I got some funny funny gifts from people who think they're hilarious, but zero cool ones I did treat myself to some unhealthy food though But I so rarely eat junk food that I'm not used to it, and now I feel sick

Merry christmas everyone! I got some pretty cool gifts, but the most awesome was from my sister, who found a manga collector who was selling his collection. Got a whole box full of nearly mint condition manga, both English and Japanese. Mostly old stuff that I have never read before. I felt like a kid in a candy store when I went through the box and sorted everything.

All I know about Himawari were desings of main characters, and that it's 'character driven story, set in not distant future'. And that first chapter is moeblobbing, while next ones are much more serious. So far - it's exactly what I thought it would be. Except that I don't like basically nobody except Ginga, whom I only 'tolerate'. [Aqua in her 'route' is much more unlikeable (her attitude towards Youichi, while explainable, is still far from nice, so I just don't like her) than in 2048.] Who cares about law? (And I do believe that law aboard space stations are clearly defined.) It's just...wrong. Creepy. From moral standpoint. Yeha, because shoting a guy is a normal thing to do and everybody 'can' do that. I agree that Daigo needed her. I don't see why she really 'needed' him, but there would be no progress in her character if not for him, to that I agree. Yup, I do know. And I stay by my words. "Stockholm syndrome is a psychological condition that causes hostages to develop sympathetic sentiments towards their captors, often sharing their opinions and acquiring romantic feelings for them as a survival strategy during captivity." This guy was a completly new thing in her life. She, as a decent human being, out of compassion and fear, helped him and tend to his wounds. Then he started to live in her quarters. She was constantly angry at him, constantly tired and was (in her thoughts, so it was genuine) yearning for some calmness. Of course she spended time with him and wanted this time to be as enjoyable as possible - as any sane person in her situation would do. If she went to Akira (of whom she was scared), she would be in problem as well, because she was sheltering him. She was confused and didn't know what to do, to the point in which she completly enclosed herself from even her 'sisters'. Probably most of the 14 yo girls, living in bubble of spacestation, with very little human interactions would be very confused, or even scared if 40+ yo loud and creepy guy imposed himself on her room and her life. And she couldn't even escape, because she had nowhere to go - it was her room, her one and only private place. Well, good for you then. I believe your feelings were in writter intentions. I feel like I spend too much time discussing this before I even finished this title. I will come back to you after I finish this whole VN. Hopefully tomorrow. Just hope this ending is as good as you're saying. But I have in mind fact, that I found true route in ever17 very lacking and pretty mediocre (best route was Yous' route), so I have reservations when people writting that 'XYZ is greatly tying everything together in the last chapter'. So, yeah. Let's get back to grinding.

Merry Christmas! Hope everyone's having a great time. I'm actually spending my Christmas and New Year touring Japan with my family, so I guess it's a great Christmas for me.

No offense, Zalor, but it's kind of silly to be mad at MangaGamer for torpedoing Aaeru's fanTL project. She was intending to package it with a torrent of the game itself, IIRC, so yeah, not exactly in the grey area of the law. Pretty much all fan translators ask that you buy a copy of the VN, and explicitly state that they don't support packaging their TL with a torrented copy, to make it less likely that they'll be slapped with a C&D. MG was well within their rights to send her an C&D, and I don't fault them for it. I'd much prefer an officially localized release with a proper translation and editing job over a subpar fan TL patch that gets released sooner, anyway. Besides, she was poking the bear. Why on Earth would she try to translate a sequel to a series that MangaGamer had the rights to? Everyone thought the guys trying to translate ImoPara 2 were crazy for the same reason. There was no chance that MG wasn't going to release it.

I really need to get around to beating Da Capo 2 Plus Communication...

Nikola Tesla fights with some lightning type shit, don't really remember the exact details, the fights are not the most memorable parts. Plenty of slice of life, or at least enough to provide a good mix. Only one "route", and most of the VN is not from Nikolas perspective but from Neons. Not-shit/10 VN, do recommend. Buy it today.

I'll ask you a single thing: was DC III, perhaps, the only visual novel you have ever heard of from mangagamer? I almost feel personally offended when someone compares MG to other existing players like Sekai or JAST and then call them pathetic because they are somehow too slow. DC III and Himawari are almost exceptions by now for the modern MG and the latter wasn't even their fault. I'm at a loss for words. Do you even understand that Dies translation has started a very long time ago and is nearly complete, the only reason they will release it so soon is because the localization itself has been revealed extremely late in the game. You know, with how you think that translation begins only after the formal announcement, MG has released Rance even faster than Dies!

The Royal Trap should be no darker than Amnesia: Memories was at times. An otome (mostly) VN with a very nice dosage of Royal politics and cunning and battles of wits. There's at least one completely light-hearted route, actually. Very nice. As for light-hearted titles on steam... I can recommend some Yuri, like Highway Blossoms (some relatively light drama at points) and Kindred Spirits on the Roof... These are amazing if you like Yuri. The thing about light-hearted moege is that most I've read end up not being on steam (yet)... And the ones I did and ended up there are not always light-hearted like the classics CLANNAD, G-Senjou and Grisaia... The three I just mentioned I'll always always recommend in any circumstance. Regardless, expect some serious drama within and at points. The only thing I can recommend in good conscience is Princess Evangile, as the drama is never too serious, and it is otherwise a standard moege. ---- It's true that there's been a lot of moege localised recently, but I haven't played most of them yet.

Good idea. I'll go off and sleep for 6 months straight while I wait. Such a shame there isn't anything for me to do while I wait, like reading visual novels.

There are threads like the "post pics you like" thread that have so many embedded pictures that some don't come up at all, leaving only the filename there until I refresh 2 or 3 times to see the embedded pictures. It also takes a heck of a long time for the page to load despite 20mbit download speeds here. Maybe the option to decrease the number of posts shown per page would help, or (probably not easy to implement at the admin side) limit posts per page based on size of messages.
