Yep. I predicted the twist a while ago, even though I haven't played that route yet, so I can't imagine that my feelings are going to change. Also in regards to Torta, I agree with you, she is probably the most complex character and she certainly deserves more attention. The only problem is that I would have to reread both her route and Al Fine in order to fully understand her. In fact Torta may very well be the next character I do a character analysis of. I would like to agree with you on that, except , so I can't. However, I would DEFINITELY love to read your character analysis of Torta, if your post above is anything to go by. Please do analyze her. You're welcome. But Al Fine was more than enough to make up for it, and she ended up being my favorite. Lise's route was the most emotional, though. She had the best route, in my opinion (since Al Fine wasn't really a heroine route), but her character was a little bland for me. She was cute, though. Thank you for your vote! You're right, the drama was definitely telegraphed, but the twist changed everything, to my mind. Regarding Lise, she was cute, certainly, but not particularly interesting. Her route was easily the most predictible (not that that is a dealbreaker or anything) and probably the least interesting, for me. It did, however, serve to make me like Torta more, as her scenes in that route were simultaneously sweet and heartbreaking. Honestly, I think every route made me like Torta more: the standard bad ending, Fal's route, Lise's route, both Torta routes... I wonder if Phorni's route will make me like her more. Regarding Snowtsuku and Zalor's little discussion above... I've seen people say that Lise is the best heroine because "she needed Chris more than any of the others." That could not be more wrong. What Lise needed was a friend. Anyone, boy or girl, to care more aout her than their own ambition. Anyone could have filled that role. Torta, on the other hand, needed Chris, speciifically, and nobody else would ever do. She needed him, everything about him: his unconditional love and concern, his affection, his thoughts, feelings, words, music, likes, dislikes, interests, and time. There was a far greater need on her side than from any of the other characters, period. *whew* I feel better now. -Arvis

Getting through it slowly among other VNs. Really starting to get bored of every single character talking over and over about almost nothing except saving and being saved. It's starting to get on my nervous, every character just goes over the exact same thing in a slightly different way, it feels like the text is heavily padded by just having characters repeat the same things over and over and over. It's really halting the progression of the story when you just go through 20 minutes of them talking about the same things over and over. And I'm going to keep repeating "over and over" to get across how pointless it is.

The problem with long common routes in moege is that in a moege... there is usually no story to support the common route. Thus, it ends up being a stream of daily life scenes, which can get interminably boring after a while. On the other hand, since many moege heroine routes spend way too much on dating and ichaicha, long heroine routes in those games can be just as bad. In a story-focused game, you either have a central story with a long common route or an early split with wildly different stories for each heroine. Dies Irae is an example of the latter (though the common route is pretty long too) and Clannad is an example of the former.

Kinda seems like a jerk, but I'll have to take your word on it. Oh, by the way, is there a proper route order for Sharin no Kuni? I glanced at the walkthrough, and it says that I'm supposed to do Natsumi's route first because I "won’t be able to switch [relationships] in later chapters". Does that matter that much? From what I got from that statement, couldn't I just reload an earlier save and skip to the choices? Don't want to screw something up for myself, but I want to do Sachi's route first. Really loving the humor so far. Not surprised that people said it was similar to Grisaia at all; Yuuji and Kenichi are both arrogant, smart-mouthed jackasses, and I love them for it. Ken breaking the fourth wall doesn't hurt, either; when I figured out he was describing Sachi to me out loud in front of her I cracked up. The writers must have had fun making this VN.

"Lolicon" and "loli" are words with a strong sexual connotation.

Steal v. 1) to take (another person's property) without permission or legal right and without intending to return it. Pirate v. 1) use or reproduce (another's work) for profit without permission, usually in contravention of patent or copyright. They're technically different, but not in the way you put it. For the most part these terms are interchangeable, and as long as the product is copyrighted, even if they want you to pirate it, both are considered crime. It's not about the morality or integrity of doing them, it's about protocol. Whether or not something deserves to be pirated (or "stolen") is another argument entirely. ...one that I'm too lazy to participate in.

Don't be so easy on him. He's the most useless character in all of the anime I've ever watched (even is that's not very much). All he does is complain and be scared and be saved by his obsessive pseudo girlfriend. Mirai Nikki is full of bland characters, but Yuki takes the cake as being a passive protagonist who is only alive because he has a diary predicting him the future of everything and another one telling everything about him every ten minutes and an overpowered sidekick to boot. I dunno who thought that protagonist would be compelling. I'm not joking when I say that one of the reasons that I quit Mirai Nikki is how incredibly stupid Yukiteru is.

Liking a girl that is younger in appearance (or doesn't look their age) shouldn't make you a Lolicon. I like most lolis in general but I don't call or consider myself a lolicon because I also like Oppai and Traps. I also don't like a girl just because she's a loli, character stereotypes and personality are far more important. It is just much easier to like a loli as long as you are into cute things. Lolis are typically divided into 2 categories : True Lolis : Lolis that are both underage and mentally immature, so it means all those below 10-years old or any who isn't of at least middle-school age (in other words, categorized as "children") fall under this. They are not someone to be meant to be look at in a sexual way. Example : Just go out and pick any girl that is elementary school age or below Legal Lolis : These are just lolis in appearance, but with a fully grown and matured mind of an adult (or a teenager at the very least) and is definitely not underage (if they aren't 700 years old already). Most Lolis (that have a route) in VNs are almost always implied to be this even though their personality suggests otherwise. Example : Shinku (Iroseka), Komoe (Index), Tsumugi (Gaworare), Nymph (Soraoto) All in all, don't be too serious about the issue and all is good. Lolis are justice, all of mankind should hail them. (＾∇＾) Image is not viewable to me, Shinku is the goddess regardless, if Iroseka/hika were translated one day we were going to have her statues and shrines built real quick. :>

Torta voter here. I think Torta might just be less of a standout as more of a subdued character; Fal is very divisive with the coldness (admittedly more or less as complicated as Torta, but still...) and Lise really plays to the cute factor. I think if you like Torta now, you'll continue to prefer her over any other character.

A loli, in the truest sense of the word, is a pre pubescent character. So a true loli (female) by definition would (on average) be under the age of 11-12 And to not be sexist, a shota (male) would be under the age of 10-11 But this is if we're applying real life conditions to them, there's many people that defend that lolis are "ageless", they do not have a defined age (unless it is specified by the work they are being depicted in), just a body type. So I'm just giving you the age they would have (assuming they age like normal humans) if the loli character in question does not have an age specified. Now there's characters above that age depicted with a child like body. Some people like to refer them as lolis, others just as regular characters that are short and flat chested. But just know that lolis as defined by the dictionary are under 12. And this thread is impying I never liked lolis at some point in my life, you're already giving me a false premise, I can not accept such a thing.

So it's been confirmed that Shingeki no Kyojin is getting a second season. That's nice.

Both, 14-15 and below are Lolis, Pre-high school . Officially every underage (18-) girl is loli but in Anime people usually draw that line below 14-15 and don't consider 16-18 to be lolis (15 is a borderline). The most popular ones are usually around 12. Some people consider older girls who just look as children to be Lolis too while other consider them to be a fake Lolis.

Based on previous posts, I decided that Rena was a safe bet for best girl. EDIT: Aaaand here's part 2. I'm adding it into this post so that I don't end up double posting. I probably got everyone's appearances wrong, but oh well, that's part of the fun, I guess. Also, since I thought the pictures on their own weren't very exciting, I added a picture of myself (VERY nondescript, so the other contestants don't know my true appearance ) and made a little logo to commemorate the contest. This is my last entry, after all, so I figured I'd have a little extra fun with it.
