  3. EDIT : Ahaha, I didn't need to make this thread XDDD The talented Jiichi, the one behind the cool program Visual Novel Reader, has updated VNR to support PSP games runing on PPSSPP, and Sakimichi made a post on it as well as other tutorials on how to get the text hooker set up. I also managed to make everything work, croll down and you'll see screenshots of my findings. A couple days ago I discovered this program a user on LJ made that works as a text hooker for Daiya no Kuni no Alice ~Wonderful Wonder World~ PSP game emulated on JPCSP. They wrote their own text hook using cheat engine since ITH and AGTH don’t work for PSP games, and I confirmed that it indeed works for the mentioned game. I also tested it for a couple games of other companies, like Idea factory, and even though the text hooker program DnKnATH worked only for that specific game, the lengthy workaround using cheat engine worked for every game I tried. The steps seem simple enough, so I was wondering if any of the programming savvy people here would give the idea of making an universal emulated PSP game text hooker a shot. Such a text extraction program for PSP games would greatly help people who have difficulties playing PSP games without the help of machine translators. (I hope this is the right section to post this. Forgive me if I'm mistaken) 1st pic is of the DnKnATH [program at work, and the other 2 show how text is extracted manually using cheat engine.

  4. I never signed out by accident, and the screen I'm using is quite small. How do you even manage to accomplish that on a daily basis? Well, maybe it's because it never was a problem to me, but I think it'd be bothersome to change it now. Having to adjust for these small changes can be annoying sometimes.

  7. Talent is something you have to seek. The people you want the most aren't necessarily going to take the initiative to volunteer. People tend to respond better when you appeal to their ego than if you just cast the widest net possible. Finding the right people for each topic is going to require some familiarity with the community, use of social connections, and some good old fashioned persuasion.

  8. If the same thread is on the same page you can obviously merge it, lol. You don't have to use big forum policies on smaller forums. Adapt. If we ever do get big enough for there to be enough redundancy that there's an actual post overload, reconsider. What is best for one place is not the best for another, think about that.

  9. You see right now our userbase is relatively small. We can still manage threads with some effort. But now imagine we just allow any user to make the thread they want to. And imagine this as our userbase grows. It'll get to a point where there's tons of threads discussing the same thing, discussion will be hindered by this since it'll be divided, you get a dumpyard of threads, making it harder to search, and nobody comes out the winner. Before you get to this point it's better to prevent new threads discussing old topics all together because we're still at a manageable level You're saying the fuwa staff is a clean freak, and with all the reason to, because we want to be able to make this site manageable for us and accessible for other users and if you start turning into a dumpyard of threads you're just hindering discussion. There is absolutely no reason a new user can not use an old thread. It's just the better solution to keep the forums' integrity. The moment we start allowing new threads with old topics to be created is the moment we allow our forums to become the dumpster that are forums like the MAL one where i see the same thread 5 times in one page.

    Would you rather...?

    1) Eat Sushi. It just sounds healthier than eating pizza every day. Plus I like rice & seafood. Would you rather: 1) Have the ability to reset your entire day. Once the day passes midnight, you can only reset that next day, etc. So your time travel ability can only travel within a length of a day, letting you keep re-living that single day over and over if you'd like. You will remember everything. or 2) Have the ability to reset your entire life back to when you were first conscious as a child. You'd have all your memories intact, but you'll have to re-live your entire life over each time. When you activate the time travel, you don't have a choice but to always start over from the very beginning.

  17. Grief points are tracked by the staff -- it wont show up on your profile. Point forgiveness: Think of the two warnings as grief points, too. You will get at LEAST one grief point forgiven each month. The consequence of getting a grief point depends on how many points you have total. Example: First offense = +1 grief point = 1 total grief point, given a warning Second offense = +1 point = 2 total points, given a warming Third offense = +1 point = 3 total points, given a 24 hour ban Month changes, one point forgiven, 2 total points now Fourth offense = +1 point = 3 total points, given a 24 hour ban Month changes, one point forgiven, 2 total points now Month changes, one point forgiven, 1 total points now Fifth offense = +1 point = 2 total points, given a warning

    Translation Process

I think it because of they already make a lot of progress. I keep tell that phase to myself when I have a bad day. It is easy to lose motive when doing VN translation. Didn't you use to have translator who like the game? I hope to see you working in some translation project in the future

  19. Why is everyone hating on Chinami? I've seen a bunch of haters so far and I really don't see her as annonying. Heck i'd trade her for one of my siblings if I could.

  20. Chinami literally gave me a headache. Her shrieking "Onii-chan!!" over and over, and baka baka baka... Omg. My brain was split in half, nearly. Despite her highly annoying nature, I somehow don't entirely hate her. :/ Although I really want to.

  22. It's still alive and the estimate last I heard was Mid-Late July due to the Translator needing to study and take very important Tests. The route will only be Miyako but he plans to do Agave after. As of right now that I know of there is no plans of doing the side routes.

  24. Fuwanovel has always tried to be a friendly place so we don't try to enforce the rules onto everyone because we trust that our userbase can keep their composure. In fact this is what happens most of the time. So I don't believe in a dictatorship kind of mindset. We're here to make sure things stay stable, if they go out of control we'll intervene, but there's no need to constantly make sure and remind everyone of the rules like we're constantly stalking users and are ready to bite or something. /Thread

  25. I'll just say this: If newbies don't get the chance to talk about all the stuff they came here to talk about, regardless if it has been talked about or not, they'll just leave. I started a topic about saya no uta, and I'm sure it has been talked about before. But I still enjoyed the heck out of it, it got like 140 replies or something. If I had to go searching for an old thread and replying to that instead, I wouldn't have enjoyed it in the least. Plus it would have bugged some people (for some reason). So if you ask me, repeated threads>necromanced thread. And for those who are tiered of looking at stuff that have been talked about before, may I ask why in the world are you looking at it then?! Is someone holding a gun to your head, forcing you to read every thread on the forums? I'm even surprised you bothered to open it. let others have fun, for crying out loud!!

  26. Mein not dying is just plain cheating. She was in the brink of death way too many times and there was even the most classical death flag "after X I have something to tell you". She just annoyed me too, so I really wanted to see her death. A pity it hasn't happened yet. As for characters, Chelsea was nice too. The only assassin-like assassin there, everyone else feels more like a warrior or a mage.

  27. *phew* I worked for quite a while on this. But it was fun. Now that I think of it, it doesn't look summer themed, does it? But, both girls from "F" and "A" are originally in swimsuit, and a picked that loli character because of her hat, which reminds me a bit of summer.

  33. Sorry for the late entry, but here you go. Since I'm no good with digital art, have this bead sprite. I've never tried making my own character with these, but I think it came out well. It's what I think an 8-bit detective might look like. Also guns are hard to make, okay?

  34. GGO is the best arc in the novels in my opinion. If they don't screw it up with melodrama then it might be better than the first season. As long as you're okay with trap Kirito.

  35. My guess would be that it's because older members, who perhaps had already posted in the topic all those months(years?) ago might post again on it after it gets necro'd and that'd look weird, or the topic might have died simply because there was nothing left to discuss, and then someone who only read the first and last pages makes a point that was made a million times in the middle pages. Plus even if that doesn't happen, knowledge and opinions can change drastically over time, so it might be better to just start fresh. That said, any forum that forbids necros and forbids repeat threads is just stupid - it's either one or the other, or neither, like it is here.

  36. Hoshizora no Memoria Wish Upon A Shooting Star Licensed by Sekai Project The story begins with the protagonist, Kogasaka You, moving back to his hometown, which he left behind several years ago. Upon arriving, he stumbles into an abandoned, sealed observatory, whereupon he encounters a mysterious girl who looks exactly like his childhood friend did years ago. She introduces herself as Mare, a shinigami who reaps nightmares. Meanwhile, back at school, You ends up joining the astronomy club, which is desperate need of new members. At night, he continues to visit Mare at the observatory, all the while trying to remember a certain someone's name.
