  1. It's time for Getchu 2023 award, and the winner is unsurprisingly Sakura no Toki in which it's the sequel of very well received Sakura no Uta. Anyway, let's see top 10 below, and yes I did really mean 10 instead of 20 because somehow Getchu decided to just list 10 top rank instead of usual 20, which to say is quite understandable. By the way, you can view the result in this link. 1. Sakura no Toki -Sakura no Mori no Shita o Ayumu- - Makura - 2. Amakano 2+ - Azarashi Soft 3. Tenshi Souzou RE-BOOT! - Yuzusoft 4. Mashiro-iro Symphony: Sana Edition - Palette 5. Mashiro Iro Symphony -Love is pure white- Remake for FHD - Palette - 6. Koibana Ren'ai - ASa Project 7. Hapymaher - REGRET END - Purple Software - 8. Happy Live, Show Up: Encore!! - FAVORITE - 9. D.C.5 ~Da Capo 5~ - CIRCUS 10. Yuunagi-sou no S-kyuu no Kanojo-tachi 2 - MOONSTONE Cherry Despite fewer number on the list, we still have the winner for each categories, so I'll list it below. Best Scenario: Sakura no Toki -Sakura no Mori no Shita o Ayumu- Best Game System: Amakano 2+ Best Graphic: Tenshi Souzou RE-BOOT! Best Soundtrack: Sakura no Toki -Sakura no Mori no Shita o Ayumu- Best Movie: Tenshi Souzou RE-BOOT! Best Character: Tanikaze Amane from Tenshi Souzou RE-BOOT! Best Erotic Contents: Bunny's Mama Daikou Service That's all for the list, and admittedly speaking the list show the worrying state of VNs in Japan.

  2. Ushinawareta Mirai o Motomete (In Search of the Lost Future) Description At Uchihama Academy, the number of new students at the school has been increasing every year, so a new school building is constructed. Before they move to the new building, the school will hold one last cultural festival at the old building before it is closed down. Each of the clubs decide to give it their all to make it a success. The student council asks the astronomy club to calm the uneasiness among the students in regard to mysterious incidents at the old building. Sou Akiyama, a member of the astronomy club, is inspecting the old building when he finds a mysterious naked girl, Yui Furukawa, who appears to know him. The next day, Yui expresses her desire to join the astronomy club. (Description taken partially from VNDB and Wikipedia.) VNDB link: https://vndb.org/v4880 Where to purchase The game can be purchased legally from DMM (https://dlsoft.dmm.co.jp/detail/tin_0002/), but a Japanese proxy/VPN may be necessary to purchase it. In addition, there's an extra layer of DRM which requires the installation of the DMM Game Player software which then allows you to download and install the game. A Japanese VPN is necessary to use DMM Game Player, both to download the game once purchased, and also to launch the game, although once launched the VPN can be turned off. This is the copy I have obtained, but the patch will work with both the DMM version and the original disc version released in 2010, although the only difference will be in their encryption and the addition of one extra file to get the disc version to work on modern systems. Project The English localization project is being conducted by Studio Frisay as its third project following Imasugu Onii-chan ni Imouto datte Iitai! in 2022 and H2O √ after and another Complete Story Edition in 2023. As before I (Tooko) will be doing all of the translating and editing of the script, along with probably most of the image editing, and working on the game engine. Also as before, nReus has agreed to help with the rendering of the game's videos and also some of the image editing (you can largely thank him for the design of the logo above). Studio Frisay discord server Progress Programming: The game uses the Kirikiri engine, one of the most popular and versatile engines around. I've already taken care of the preliminary engine hacks necessary to construct the patch after a lot of trial and error, and also received some help to streamline the patch creation process once the project is complete. Translation: The translation officially commenced on January 19, 2024. However, I already translated about 25% of the script by the time I announced the project a couple months later in March. The game has 35,416 lines across 180 scenario files split up between the five heroine routes: Kaori: 8519 / 8519: 100% Airi: 4101 / 7368: 55.7% Nagisa: 0 / 7356: 0% Yui 1: 0 / 8334: 0% Yui 2: 0 / 3839: 0% Total: 12620 / 35416: 35.6% Relatively uncommon for this type of game, it doesn't have a separate common route and instead incorporates elements similar to a common route into the beginning of each route. There is also a set order the routes must be completed, which is the same order they're listed above. A full walkthrough will be provided with the patch to view all CGs and endings. Okay so, hear me out, there's been a long ass drought of Ace Attorney, and so you should totally checkout Tyrion Cuthbert: Attorney of the Arcane. It's a heavily inspired Ace Attorney indie VN that'll make you feel right at home. Kinda pricey at 20 bucks, but you get the standard 5 case Ace Attorney experience with all the fun point and click exploration/investigations and climactic cross examinations with moderatos and allegros and slightly over the top characters you could ask for. And yes Arcane is in the title because there's also magic. Like, this 'dumbass noble mage totally used the magicks to commit this crime' type of magic ^This clown here's Nick- I mean uhh Tyrion Cuthbert (Teer-ee-on? Ty-ry-on? Cooth-bert???). Yo Idk dafuq kinda name the devs were going for, but at least he got the desk slams like Nick. ^This cutie here is Maya Fey. She's a mage named Celeste this time around, and Tyr's actually competent sidekick/bodyguard. Btw Tyr has his own built in Athena Cyke's Mood Matrix via his "Eye of Horus" where he can involuntarily pick up on people's thoughts and emotions (yellow text + purple/blue emojiis above). Kind of makes him overpowered at times with the level of omniscience he can get but it's cool. Not every day you get a protag who can Maximillion Pegasus Millenium Eye these fools ^This hottie's Aria Steelwind. The female Miles Edgeworth I guess. She's cool. Ice princess type. There's also romance, if you care for that LOL! Go play it

  7. mmm... As a dark parody of the 'friend' trope: https://vndb.org/v18142 In that one, the protagonist is cursed to be the 'best friend/childhood friend/etc' (Sunohara role) for a bunch of eroge protagonists. He has to deal with the darkness that lies behind eroge and the fates of heroines who aren't chosen.

  8. Turned out the last update is not really the last update before Yuzuki's patch release. Anyway, there's a bunch of word from the updates, so I'll quote it below. Personally speaking it's a bit too bad that the release was pushed back again with the estimated earliest release time is at April, although then again it's definitely far more annoying to get a hundreds of notification in Discord informing grammar errors in Ginharu (Nitpicking or not) so the staffs understandably tried their best to fix the translation as much as they could, and obviously it took long time with the staffs only finished the QA passes for both Mizuha and Yuzuki's routes just recently. Also the writer of the post is the hacker which the last time it was mentioned is still bedridden because of the operation, and apparently it took longer time to recover so only now he can find the time to start the finalization work on it. Anyway, the current progress is listed as 'Playtesting Gin’Iro’s patch' (ie beta testing the patch) with additional notes they made the final changes to the scripts in both routes. Lastly, with on how turbulent the finalization work turned out, I'm not quite sure if it's really the last update before Yuzuki's patch release or not. Regardless, I'll write the update in the next month if the staffs still has some bit to say in regard of the updates. Of course, it'll be better if the next update is Yuzuki's patch, but we'll see about it later. That's all for March 2024 update of Ginharu here.

  9. Looking for a new hard hitting nakige visual novel with some supernatural mystery? Allow me to recommend Irotoridori no Sekai. Hoshimemo is almost nothing like it: Different writer, almost no High School SoL, and kinda depressing. More in this video:

  10. I put the above in spoilers because it is somewhat negative commentary from someone who only played the game halfway through, so if you want to ignore it, I have no problems with it in this case. For more positive commentary, the ero was good (better than most h-anime these days, which have become so similar to each other that you can't tell the difference between different series anymore).

  11. For platform I used laptop, and obviously I used Windows to play the VN. As for the reason, it's simply because the one that the initial OS which available on my laptop is Windows, and it's practical enough anyway in that almost all of the VN developers released their VNs for Windows. By the way I used to have desktop PC in the past, although nowadays I just have my laptop.

  12. I'm very late to inform this, but better late than never. Anyway, in case anyone else still waiting for the final QA to be completed, the colored bar is increased by one since around December, so at least we can be rest assured that the translator still willing to working on this despite his real life busyness.

  13. the last public release that we did it was this one: https://www.mediafire.com/file/c9cukzajs2nys2h/Noratoto+Restoration+Patch+(Partial+2)+[C121B4AC].7z/file By the readme seems to be some minor bugs not fixed yet, maybe it was fixed in our lastest scripts but not sure, I would need to check our files.

    What are you playing?

I guess it's time to post some mini reviews of the VN's I've played in the last half year or so, before I forget about them. I list them in the order how much I liked them. The last VN I read is the first episode of Tokeijikake no Ley Line and it's also the one I liked the most. I haven't read a VN so far that managed to capture the feeling of a Hogwarts magical school so well like this one. The art style is really great, even if the sprite dynamics felt a bit too static if you're used to Yuzusoft stuff. The music is also decent most of the time, even though some tracks felt a bit repetitive after a while. The protagonist was a pretty cool dude and the heroines were also very likable. The VN does focus mostly on the story, with the heroine stories being rather short. But the VN did actually commit to the story, so almost everything was drawn that was actually happening, which is in no way a small feat. According to Steam it took me about 25 hours to read, which is pretty fine for the prelude to a trilogy. Heroine ranking: Tsubaki > Fuhito > Ushio > Rito > Neko Overall rating: 7.5/10 (Could get even better depending on how the trilogy continues) Tokyo Nekro was a VN I had a particular technical interest in, because it's using an actual game engine. Meaning it has a lot of animated characters and stuff. And in general I'd say the VN did succeed in what it tried to achieve. While the background textures did feel rather PS2 area outdated, the characters itself turned out surprisingly well. The combat scenes in particular deserve praise. At least the third person scenes, because they were pretty well done, while the ego scenes felt a bit too much like cheap Doom imitations. Nevertheless, the VN had a visual fidelity that bordered on an anime. Story wise it was a bit hit or miss. I was actually lucky to accidentally end up in Con Su's route, which actually felt like the true route. It wasn't really a romance route and more of a platonic friendship route focused on Con Su and Ilia and their origins. I was also lucky that an update had overwritten the adult patch. I restored it for the other routes and I did regret it. The H-scenes felt completely random and all over the place ranging from vanilla to disturbing. I heard that Ilia's route would be the main route, but I'd definitely disagree. It was just running after Milgram forever. It shared a lot with Mitsumi's route, but Mitsumi's was better since it was shorter. Something that was irritating about the VN were the two protagonists. I'm not a big fan of that in general, but this was really exhausting. The protagonists did switch so frequently that they were almost rotating. Sometimes even other characters got protagonist which made it even more confusing. Another annoying thing was the helmet view, that blocked almost half of the screen. It did took me almost 50 hours to finish the VN with only the Kiri route left, which felt a bit too long for my taste. I'd also give a small warning that this VN has some VERY gory scenes, that can easily compete with Kara no Shoujo. And I'm not talking about simple zombie splatter, but stuff like opening the skull of an arguably living person to manipulate its brain. Overall rating: 7/10 (Could have been better with single protagonist and less edgy content) Next is Hello Lady. The highlight of this VN is probably the protagonist and the male voice actors in general. The story is a bit of a spin off of the Count of Monte Cristo. While the protagonist was kinda cool, his frequent Casanova phases of excessive sexual harassment got old and tedious pretty fast. Another problem of the VN was the lack of commitment towards the story. It felt like they took the CG set of a pure moege and tried to twist it with a half assed story where barely anything plot relevant was drawn. Another problem was the lacking chemistry between the protagist and the heroines. I never got the feeling that they are more than just playthings for a few days to have some fun with until they are thrown away. His maid Hishia Mori felt like the only one he seemed to have some feelings for. The routes therefore felt very lackluster since neither the romance nor the plot was convincing. Especially since the routes felt extremely repetitive and the true route wasn't much better either. In total it did cost me almost 60 hours to finish the VN and it was in no way worth that time. Maybe 30 hours, but not 60. Heroine ranking: Somehow none of them really clicked with me, even if I didn't dislike them... Overall rating: 6/10 Next was Cyanotype Daydream. This was a rather odd VN, since it's pretty much split in 3 side stories and a final true story. I've seen comments comparing this to The House in Fata Morgana due to its plot structure. However, I beg to disagree. While the introduction stories of Fata Morgana have a lot to do with the actual plot, introducing most of the main characters, the same can't be said about the ones in this VN. They share a bit of a 'broken romance' theme, but besides that they are so unrelated to the actual main story that you could just pick a few random VN's from VNDB and read those instead. Even worse, none of them was particular convincing and I skipped most of them after a while since I found the characters not particular likable and the storys somewhat boring. That said, the actual main story is actual quite decent with likable characters and an interesting world. However, it suffered from the fact that a lot of resources were wasted in some rather mediocre side stories. The VN would have been a lot better if they would have fully commited to the main story and flesh out the world with more characters. Heroine ranking: Yonagi > Izumo > don't care Overall rating: 6/10 (I'd rate the main story higher, but forcing those mediocre side stories on me demands punishment) Okay, I wish they would have stopped the Flowers series with the last part -Le volume sur automne- on a high. Instead we got this. So, there are two main problems with this VN. First, there's no romance arc this time, so the VN has to rely on its final revelation plot to justify its existence. Which leads us to the next problem, that the revelation plot was a complete joke and it came extremly late. Even some of the micro mysteries of the predecssors were better than that. Furthermore, it tried to antagonize some of its best characters which just made no sense. There were also almost no new characters, and the whole slice of life that was left felt like copy & paste from the previous VN's. Overall, this was a fan disc at best and even for that it did a poor job. My personal recommendation would be to just skip this VN, since it adds nothing of worth to the series. Overall rating: 5/10 So, that was it for now. Currently reading the recently translated TypeMoon VN Mahoutsukai no Yoru, with the second episode of Tokeijikake no Ley Line next in line.

  15. Hey there, it's me, your questionably friendly neighborhood Tired Protagonist. I'm a freelance artist and creative writing graduate, and I've been into visual novels for over ten years. I got my foot in the door with partial-VN series like BlazBlue and Disgaea, then got my first full-on visual novel, Hakuouki, when I was 13 (I did not know otome games were a thing at the time and thought it would just be a cool samurai game lmao... Still 100%ed it though ). I tend to like stories with a lot of high emotions, mystery/suspense/horror, or interesting philosophical ideas. Some of the ones I've completed and enjoyed are Clannad, Doki-Doki Literature Club, the When They Cry series, and Steins;Gate. I'm currently working my way through The House in Fata Morgana. I'm interested in reading more visual novels! I'd love to work on them, too. I feel like my skillset was practically made for them; I can draw very well and have stylistic versatility, I am an exceptional writer, and when I was in college, I was the only student in my entire game writing class who was daring enough to actually build a small game in Ren'Py, coding and all. Thanks for having me in your community! I hope to have a good time here.

MAITETSU 18+ RESTORATION PATCH v1.3 7-10-2018 MAITETSU 18+ STEAM RESTORATION PATCH v1.3 7-10-2018 Maitetsu WIP Decensor patch thread The main issues I was dealing with while making that patch that most certainly limited how much I can do are: 1. KrkrExtract just doesn't want to cooperate majority of the time when extracting XP3's. 2. When it does, it doesn't even extract the stuff I needed. 3. Repairing the sprites requires my being able to repack EMote .pbs files with edited .bmp images. Not hard at all to do, just repacking is the issue AFAIK 4. The data.xp3 is encrypted. About half of it KrkrExtract can get done, but the half that i'd need to fully repair the "filesystem" I guess you can say into something usable is. 5. God help me TJS2 bytecode is one of the most disgusting atrocities I have seen. Bless based nihongo tools If there is anyone out there who knows the KiriKiriZ engine or EMote engine, your input is always welcome. Suzu ga besto desu

  17. Hi all! My name is Nikita, I'm from Ukraine. For about five years I was involved in translations of Japanese games and voice acting, then, about three years ago, I assembled a team to release a visual novel. Actually, I have been interested in Japan since I was a small child, I was the president of an anime club, ran a YouTube channel and... what else can I tell you that’s interesting? Life is hard in our area now, so I want to at least finish what I started. And who knows what will happen tomorrow. Here I would like to thank all the young and not so young developers who have not forgotten how to read and continue to admire the original Japanese worlds. I hope I’ll stick around!

  18. Welcome to Fuwanovel and sorry for the belated greeting. If you want to know what's interesting topic to bring into introduction, maybe you can bring something such as the anime that you watch, although then again it was based on my introduction. Regardless, good luck on both of your project and real life. Lastly, I hope that you'll have fun in here.

  19. MAITETSU 18+ DEMOSAIC STEAM AND FAKKU PATCH Did you mistake the quote "100% DRM free and completely uncut with no scenes removed" as "TOTALLY UNCENSORED!"? Do you hate to see squares in beautiful art? Are you from the golden era (JAST USA, Peach Princess, G-Collections) and expected from an localized eroge to get an fully uncut, uncensored and without mosaics game? ... Then this patch is for you. You read it right, the patch does what it says. It removes the mosaic in hscenes from the beautiful artwork. Original MAITETSU 18+ Fakku edition -> you can buy it at the official page: https://www.fakku.net/games/maitetsu-english -> PLEASE SUPPORT english localization by buying the game ! OR BUY FROM STEAM Maitetsu 18+ Release Restoration Patch - FOR STEAM OR BANDAID removal PATCH + restoration patch - FOR FAKKU 1. [Q]: Is it legit? [A]: I can't believe it myself either. But YES! It is real and it does what it says. Try it before reporting or commenting. Thank you. 2. [Q]: Where are the hscenes? I can't find them in the game? [A]: There are no hscenes in the common route, except provoking pictures which the Maitetsu 18+ Release Restoration Patch restores and the actual hscenes won't trigger by default, but during a heroine route, a message will popup at bottom right side of the screen saying that you gain access to a hscene, then you have to manually open the hscene in the menu. It is a game design, not a bug or glitch, it is how LOSE company makes the games. Rarely you will gain access for hscenes during a route, most hscenes are unlocked AFTER finishing the game with that particular heroine. 3. [Q]: When does the DLC hscenes show up? [A]: After you complete the previous hscenes, the DLC hscenes will eventually show up. 4. [Q]: STEAM support? [A]: At the moment I don't own the STEAM version so I can't test it and I don't know if it works. If someone can help me I will make an steam support patch, but you would still need the FAKKU 18+ DLC patch. 5. [Q]: Can we see some screenshot/examples of patch? [A]: Because of the nature of the game as being an loli game I can't post pictures because of the policy of the forum. But if someone wants to see the results before buying the actual game I can send you 2 example pictures. Just send a PM and I will reply with those 2 example pictures. Examples of non-loli characters are in the gallery section. 6. [Q] : What was changed in the new Fakku edition? What's the difference between the OLD and NEW download? [A]: Jacob from fakku has a good description -> https://www.fakku.net/forums/games/maitetsu-fixes-and-updates .Everything written in the section "what has not changed" WAS already fixed already by heliosaurus by his patch and the same fix is present in the new "BANDAID removal PATCH + restoration patch" 7. [Q] Why is there a difference in size between Heliosaurus Restoration patch and "BANDAID removal PATCH + restoration patch" Both patches work perfectly fine and shouldn't have any problems. You can use Heliosaurus on the OLD and NEW version but the BANDAID patch is only for new FAKKU download ONLY. But... the original restoration patch includes fixes which are already fixed in the new version of FAKKU's edition and the BANDAID removal patch just removes this fixes from the PATCH to be less in size. The reason why you could still use the original restoration patch on the old and new version of fakku is that technically the patch is in original form a "patch.xp3" which contains mostly PICTURES! Yes, pictures. And it just replaces those pictures from the original data files which are located in "data.xp3" / "emotedx.xp3", and so on. The KiriKiri engine works like that. When FIRST run, it loads first files from, data.xp3, and all the main xp3, and then LOADS patch.xp3, patch2.xp3, patch3.xp3... and so on. That's why we don't need external programs to patch the original data files, and we can put everything in PATCH.XP3, or PATCH2.XP3, and so on. You can literally replace the whole game with a single PATCH.xp3 file. The restoration patch was made by using resource files from the JAPANESE version and replaces the resource files from the ENGLISH version. So the original restoration patch just OVERWRITES fixes-pictures present in the MAIN game from the NEWEST fakku edition download.... 8.[Q]: That isn't the game we were promised / it is disappointing / don't want to buy the game .... [A]: Well, it isn't a question, I just want to express my opinion... I understand that the release a disappointment, and like everyone, even I would wanted a TOTALLY uncut and uncensored version. I hate the CUTS in western releases, but that was going on for decades not just in VN's look in the old days of SNES games with JRPGS. And in east they get the same results with some western games... Thanks to that, we have two types of ppl - one who are complaining and the the other one who are making uncut/undub/uncensored version of games, from snes to psp/psvita and so on. What I mean is that you shouldn't lose energy in complaining on fakku and denpasoft/sekai, yes even sekai. I understand that sekai don't take releases seriously but at least we got the translated version, whish is a huge WORK. And be thankful, we got "OMG!" Maitetsu! I can't expect newcomers and the ones on fakku to stop complaining ( and I am not saying that you have to start editing, and join the community of moders, but you are always welcome to join ), but at least you at fuwanovel you have no more reasons to complain. At the end you got the complete 1:1 japanese uncut release with english text, and even a little more, with the demosaic patch ( which in the japanese edition they don't have ). .... please ask questions and I will put most common questions and answers here ... Data extraction thread

Hi there. I just want to give a heads up regarding support of the Steam release of Clover Day's Plus: It's the same engine as previous NekoNyan ports. The encryption mechanism is the same as the one in Aokana/Senren Banka Switch, Parquet Android. You'll be able to unpack the .dat files by passing "portable" to the format argument of the tool, for example: NekoNyanDatTool.exe --input "C:\Install Folder\Clover Days Plus_Data\StreamingAssets\adult.dat" --output outputFolder --unpack --format portable (Beginning of rant) Once again the assets are needlessly encrypted, killing any compression opportunities for the download size and making Steam waste its time trying to compress what's there to the benefit of absolutely no one and detriment of everyone. But at least it's the same stupid system so you guys can use keep using the same tool. Also using il2cpp for the very needed maximum performance on a glorified image viewer with overlay text, where all of the code that had a chance of putting a load on the CPU (namely Emote) would have already been on native libraries anyways, with the usual Unity bloat that will make even the biggest CPU caches scream and run in fear, which no native compiler will ever fix. I hope next time they exclude the Augmented Reality, Web Cam, and Android modules from the Windows build of a Visual Novel (and this is assuming that Unity provides that capability, you'd assume considering how widely used the engine is... I'd be slightly surprised and disappointed if that's not a thing EDIT: okay it is a feature: https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/upm-ui-disable.html). I pray that they don't change the "encryption" format, not because it'll be hard, it'll just be even more bothersome because of native code shenanigans, which is just a waste of everyone's time.

    Gore Screaming Show

Gore Screaming Show JAST Steam Required: 18+ DLC For Steam Big BIG thanks to @shiro1217 for providing me their guide to format on here! Summary “I hate everything and everyone,” the girl sneers. Hatred, despair, envy, bloodlust, pessimism, compassion, persistence and anxiety—burdened with all manner of negative emotion, she mutters to herself…. “I want to be happy.” With his parents moving to America for work, Jinno Kyoji returns to his hometown, Kurehito City, after several years of absence to live with his mother's cousin, the free-spirited Saitama Yamiko. There, he encounters several girls he shares a history with. Kazuyagi Akane, the strong-spirited tomboy he grew up with. Namiki Aoi, a gloomy girl who's Akane's best friend. Misono Kiika, a graceful, good-natured classmate of his from his old school. In three years of absence, his hometown and its people have changed ever so slightly. Despite some hiccups, Kyoji's peaceful days in his hometown begin. At least until he meets a mysterious girl on his way to his first day at school. Violet hair. Large, striking eyes. Skin that's paler than the driven snow. "Welcome home," she says. "My name is Yuka. Remember it." And wherever Yuka is, one mysterious, inexplicable figure is always nearby—a monstrous man by the name of Gore Screaming Show. Kyoji's encounter with these two figures marks the end of his peaceful days—as they bring chaos, violence, madness and despair into this world. Will Kyoji and the girl he loves be able to escape the madness and return to their peaceful days? Or will they— Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order Basic Extended Route Guideline Bad + Good Ends Included. Kazuyagi Akane Namiki Aoi Misono Kiika Saitama Yamiko (UNLOCKED AFTER AKANE, AOI, AND KIIKA ARE COMPLETED) Yuka (UNLOCKED AFTER YAMIKO) CG Collection Attribution This walkthrough is based on one created by @shiro1217 who used plala.or.jp as a reference. 22. EDIT: No offense to OP, but I would prefer if people used my own link for downloading the game. I can't vouch for how up to date or secure other links might be. Hello, hello, made an account just for this lol. To clarify I'm the guy that made the patch. Always glad to see people spread the word about this work. Extremely niche, yet likely one of the most important VNs of all time. Without Bakehouse chances are the larger Chinese Gacha industry wouldn't exist in the first place, so even if it's niche, the ripples left by its impact are honestly immeasurable and still felt in the industry today. I could go off for days about this, but to spare this forum of my random presence, here's an article I wrote summarizing the history of MICA Team, the developers of this VN. After the patch I also grabbed an artist and started working on a Ren'Py remaster that also reimagines the three other stories surrounding Girl of the Bakehouse that never actually released. Development's really slow right now, because both of us are lacking resources, but you can find all the details here. If y'all have any questions feel free to let me know!

    Policenauts

Policenauts {Download link} Summary {2010. We start to populate cosmos. But where people live there's always crime involved, so we need policemen. The special police devision is made. They are called Policenauts. One of them, Jonathan Ingram, an outstanding LA cop, is assigned to test a new cosmic suit. Then the accident happens...} Ending Guideline {Policenauts is a Hideo Kojima's work similar to point and click games (only one route, if you make mistake, it's game over). Your main task is to click things on the screen and Look at it closely. You also need to talk to certain people to advance the story. The truth is you should look at everything and ask about everything to fully experience the story. There are action scenes too, where you are supposed to shoot targets before they shoot you and your life line goes down to zero. I will mark them and try to point where your enemy will show up on the screen. You play as Jonathan Ingram, Old LA private detective, who is commisioned by his ex-wife to find her missing husband. This will lead to uncover the horrible truth hidden inside space station called "Beyond". Legend (!) - important. *,**,*** - dialogue choices which will pop up after choosing right ones beforehand, important for the story (number) - how many times you will get new infos choosing specific dialogue choice} Route Guideline {*= PROLOGUE: HOME =*} {*= ACT 1: BEYOND =*} {*= ACT 2: ASTRONAUTS =*} {*= ACT 3: DRUG =*} {*= ACT 4: ORGAN =*} {*= ACT 5: LUNAR =*} {*= ACT 6: BIOMORT =*} {*= ACT 7: DUEL =*} {*= EPILOGUE: NAUTS =*} Attribution {This is my walkthrough.
