Now's probably the best time to point out that skiing is one of my favourite things, so any VN that has skiing in it (which isn't a whole lot of VNs) automatically becomes twice as good for me. It's part of why I enjoyed Da Capo 2 more than I probably should have. That's not to say it was bad otherwise, it was certainly a big improvement over the original Da Capo.

Anyway, turns out Bethly's never gone skiing before (or snowboarding in this case) so Yukito has to teach her.

I really hope they do a ski trip in other routes, but it kinda seems like it might a Bethly route thing. Also there are no skiing CGs or sprites

These text convos generally give me a lot of grief because VNR doesn't pick them up, so I have to look up the kanji myself, this one's not too bad though.

This is their 3rd year in middle school so once it's over, well...

In the meantime, Bethly and Yukito are in the same classroom again, but even Momiji is elsewhere now. No more third-wheeling for you, Nashiro-san. 

Bethly of course gives her introduction, but rather than giving a nervous introduction in English like last year...

"Hello everyone, my name is Bethly Rose Daisley."

"Please call me Bethly. I'm from Canada and this is my second year in Japan."

"I'm still studying Japanese. I hope to get along with you all."

They of course do their one-room classroom (without Mizu-nee of course, since she's in high-school now), and Momiji gets rekt as always

"Bethly-san and senpai are in the same class again? So are Yuzuki and I, right, Yuzuki-chan~"

"I'm feeling a bit alienated for some reason~"

As Yukito and Yuzuki head home, it seems she's figured out that Bethly is going back to Canada, and not just that...

"You like Bethly, don't you?"

To be fair, it's pretty obvious :^)

"What are you saying? We're just friends..."

"It's a misunderstanding"

"It's not a misunderstanding. I'm absolutely sure..."

"Thanks for waiting~ Wololo cafe's special pancakes, with extra-light maple syrup from Canada"

Damn racist, assuming all Canadians like maple syrup. I mean, she's not wrong, but you shouldn't just assume.

After walking her home he goes back to his mom's cafe and meets Momo-chan-sensei, who was having trouble finding a job but finally managed to get in as a teacher at Mizu-nee's high school.

"After middle school she's going back to Canada"

"I see... well then, you'll just have to confess before that."

".....what are you talking about?"

"W-wait, confess... who to whom?"

"You, to Bethly."

Looks like everyone has figured it out already

"Seeing your attitude to Bethly-chan today, I could tell at a glance"

"Bethly is going to Canada no matter what... I don't want to trouble her by saying boring stuff."

I guess this is all part of her master plan. She didn't have any sketches of Yukito in her sketchbook because she didn't have any photos of him (because you can't draw people if it's not from a photo, I guess??) 

"Okay, give me your smartphone and I'll take one"

It seems the master plan has failed

"Umm.."

"What is it?"

"We're the only ones here"

"Y-yeah... it's a weekday, and once it gets warmer I'm sure there will be more people..."

"I want to take a photo together"

She went for it! But since they couldn't ask anyone to take a photo they had to get pretty close to both fit in the shot...

"Before I knew it, we were huddled together."

And after Yukito fails to take 2 photos because his hands wouldn't stop shaking, Bethly warms his hands with her breath.

"Do you enjoy being with me?"

"Of course I do, because I..."

"I... I like being together with you"

"Even now, I'm really happy... umm... Now and always... it makes me happy... that's because..."

"Because what?"

"Because I like you, Bethly"

He did it, the absolute mad lad. Let's see if she rejects him because she doesn't want to hurt him by leaving.

"I can't respond... this is so sudden..."

"I'll have to think carefully about it"
