About this blog

When I'm looking for VN's to play, I always look for other people's thoughts first so I don't waste my time with shitty VN's. Sometimes I'm interested in VN's that don't have any reviews or discussions so I figured I'll be the one to start one. I hope some readers could use my thoughts as reference on what to play like I did

Going with the name thoughts since well, my posts won't be completely comprehensive and complete about the VN just my fragmented thoughts

Sugar*Style thoughts

Smee games are usually high quality and very similar. Cute heroines with a funny plot and little moments of seriousness is their usual pattern. I tried to like Sugar*Style really, unfortunately I didn't like it that much. The gimmick in Sugar*Style is you can select what your protag is good at and you can also inspect the room of the heroine. I didn't like how they played that gimmick it felt really tacked on. Unlike Making*Lovers, the gimmick here has more impact but it didn't really feel,

Sorceress*Alive! ~the World's End Fallen Star~ Thoughts Part 1 (Sorceress)

This would be my first blog post so yeah.. As I said in the description of the blog, this is more of my thoughts so it might be unorganized unlike a review. I thought this was another generic Isekai but I heard a lot of people praising it for the Alive routes. The game has two parts, the Sorceress and Alive routes. A lot of people have said that Alive was really great so I was willing to play the trope-filled Sorceress routes just to experience that. Now on to the game itself. The

Sorceress*Alive! ~the World's End Fallen Star~ Thoughts Part 2 (Alive)

Sorceress Alive is a game that tries to emulate a pattern similar to MLA. Introduce characters in a generic setting so that it is easy to understand for readers, also serving as an introduction to the world. Downsides of patterns like that is you really have to endure playing something generic for the best part to come. Sorceress Alive does that pattern well albeit with some glaring weaknesses, if those weakness were solved, I wouldn't hesitate to call this one of the best fantasy VN's I played.

Ore-tachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai Thoughts 1

(Light spoilers) Wow this game is long as hell. What made the game so long is how wordy it is. As a writer myself, I got irritated as why can't the author just be concise and straight to the point. I don't mind if it has an insanely long paragraph I'll read it as long as it feels important, which Oretsuba's writing fails at. I don't need a whole paragraph describing how Takashi bought something at the vending machine. I'm guessing that the aim was to create a strong image by describing it a

Hamidashi Creative thoughts

So I'm back to playing VN's this quarantine. I didn't have much time to read since my last blog post which was last year since I spent that time on college and hanging out. But now I'm stuck at home again without anything to do so I'm gonna start playing VN's again. I usually only play charages and moeges and sometimes chuuniges depending on my mood. I try to only play long VN's since short VN's make me lazy to read it since the moment I get immersed in the game, the game is near the ending alre

Aonatsu Line/Kotonoha Maichiru Natsu no Koe

I rarely read VN's now and mostly I read charages yet again, I'm still finding those rare charages where something actively happens and it just aint pure ichaicha or low tension events. I probably read a shit ton of VN's and drop it within an hour if I my experience predicts that this novel will be a cookie cutter moege yet again or a charage where nothing reallly happens that much. Aonatsu Line I'll just copy paste what I said on the WAYR forums a while ago, "Playing Aonatsu Line
