Introduction
Welcome, fellow Fuwamembers, to the FuwaRecognition thread. Starting this March, we’ll be highlighting some of the best contributions made by our members each month. From snazzy blog articles to delicious forum threads, and perhaps even a few things more on the shitpost part of the spectrum, we'll keep an eye out for the cream of the crop. And then we'll gather them here. Just for you.

Hello hello! I have spent the whole day no lifing this game and now its time to make a review of it!
Introduction:
Just like the last game, Nekopara vol. 2 is a rather short kinetic novel, (about 4-5 hours, depending on your reading pace. Maybe a little longer if you listen to all the dialogue.) It has very nice art, animated sprites, animated H-Scenes and ... nekos!
Starting off after the ending in vol.1, all the catgirls in the Minaduki-family are now working at La Sole
Yet another update.
I was busy, but at least got something done.
6th or 7th H-scene done. Finally the story is progressing, and the heroine is finally showing something to like about.
Nothing else to say, but now that there is an official TL thread, I'll be posting my progress there and my wordpress, so there won't be a progress bar here, but I'll try to post my thoughts on every week's translation here. Good? Good.
Progress:
See you next week!

OK, I started playing Gears of Dragoon 2 about four days ago (I've only managed twenty hours so far, due to work), and I have a few comments on the game.
For better or worse, Gears of Dragoon 2 Reimei no Fragments is a dungeon crawler/rpg/VN hybrid, and like most VNs of this type, it is pretty big. To be blunt, in 20 hours, I've only managed to get to level 24 and get halfway through Chapter 2. Considering that with the same amount of time I was already halfway through (or farther) with e
J-List and JAST USA boss Peter Payne has revealed that the translator working on the extra content from the PSP version is none other than himself.
Sanahtlig's Corner: Steam release of RPG Seinarukana will feature extra content from the PSP version translated by Peter Payne himself
Mmm... because I replayed Lost Azurite, I thought I'd do a bit of comparison... also because I didn't feel up to playing Sengo or Dragoon yet. Fake Azure Arcology is based some time before Lost Azurite, in Amahara, an arcology completely cut off from the outside world. It is a city that basically tries to maintain a sense of the 'outside' inasmuch as it is possible while essentially living inside a giant dome. Seasons and the sky are simulated, as is weather, and it is even possible to cook r
Hey everyone! So it's time for another review, this time of a yuri title that I just finished last night, Kimihane Kanojo to kanojo no koi suru Ikkagetsu. I got recommended this a little while back and decided to read it because I thought it was just a short yuri nukige. But boy was I wrong ...
The story:
The story is quite lighthearted and simple, three girls who think they saw an angel when they were younger live together in a dorm. These three girs get along very well and the
Another Saturday, another update.
This week was full of needless things for me. Travels, schoolwork, visiting relatives, ugh.
But enough of that, I'm still quite content with the amount of progress I got, even if it is about the same amount as last week.
I really do hope to get more done in the following weeks.
Update here:

Re:Birth Colony is a VN that has a special place in my heart. It is the second VN in the two VN series about a future where a rain of meteors rendered the planet's surface lifeless and humanity is living in arcologies of various types. The first one, Fake Azure Arcology, I plan to replay a bit later. It has the same writer as Hapymaher, Harukiss, Sakigake Generation, and a number of other VNs going back to 2007.
The protagonist, Keram Souji (also known as Rindou Souji), is the adoptive
Since most of the people who read my blog at all are probably already aware of this, I'm not going to hide the fact that moege/charage aren't my favorite sector of the VN industry. I see VNs in general as a storytelling medium first and a visual art third or fourth, so the overfocus on visual elements that defines 'true moege' and the inevitable inconsistencies and storytelling incompetence in charage can be pretty irritating for me.
That said, I have and do enjoy some charage/moege. One
Hello hello! It's time to do something a little different and so I thought I would make kind of a review / overview of the Strike Witches manga, specifically my favorite in the series: One winged witches.
So One winged witches is just one of the several arcs which you can find in the strike witches manga, but what is so nice about the Strike Witches manga is that they don't rely heavily on each other, meaning you can read it in any order you want. (Though basic knowledge of the chara
... well, I guess I was wrong. They do still make pure moege. The only problem with this is that 'pure moege=kusoge' these days, so I honestly can't see a reason to be happy about that.
This VN was written partly by the same guy who wrote Flyable Heart, and it is by a company (Hexenhaus) that has a fondness for producing moe-based VNs focused on eating establishments of some sort (this case, a Cafe Club at a school). I'll be perfectly honest... this VN starts out with all the elements n
Man, I had no motivation to translate this week, yet somehow I got almost 30 kB of text squeezed out, so progress wasn't that miniscule, at the very least.
Anyways, this week basically went with only translating h-scenes, which isn't a suprise, but yeah.
Honestly, at this point I have no problems translating them, and they are going swimmingly at this point, so I think translating them should be a little faster.
But here's the update:
-----------------------------------------
As the title above indicates, this is a story about the love life of a working adult... to be specific, a twenty-five year old salaryman named Oga Itsuki. At the beginning of the story Itsuki, who has already begun to settle into the dull exhaustion of the salaryman style of life, is awakened to just how pathetic his life is by his immediate superior, who suggests he try to change himself. The amazing thing is that he does go through with it, and it changes his fate (makes it interesting).
Last night, I had a rather awkward dream where I awoke underground and noticed that I was alone, as per my daily life. I guess it was a labyrinth of sorts. It took me days to find my way out. It was also hard to breathe.
I call this an odd dream because I usually dream of violence. This time, I dreamed of solitude and purgatory. Other than that, I can't truely say I have actually had a 'normal' dream.
I guess that is why I am here on Fuwa though.
OK, first I am going to avoid spoilers throughout this review, so I would like those who want to comment to avoid the same, even in spoiler boxes. This is one of those games that is going to be harder to enjoy if you spoil it for those who come after, so I will personally eat anyone who spoils it. This VN is by the same writer who did Sumaga (blech), Gekkou no Carnevale (yay), and Totono (a VN a lot of people here liked). However, the style of story is much closer to that of Gekkou no Carneva
... it has been almost a year and a half since the last release from Studio Ryokucha, and I was looking forward to this, almost despite myself. This company has produced some really good games over the years, and I have generally enjoyed most of their games I've played thoroughly. At first, it seemed like this one might end up being one of the better VNs by this company, but once I finished my first route, I was forced to come to the realization that my expectations - based on the building of
So this time I'm going to review this awesome novel, some users even consider it the best vn out there by far, a true kamige through and through ....
...sadly this is not that Dies Irae neither is Masada involved in this title in any way
This DIES IRAE (all in caps, because why not?) is the work of a company called Family Soft. They mostly made games for PC-98, 88 and MSX on the 90', later on they released some for the ps1.
To be honest, it is really hard to comment on this series of sequels/fandiscs...
S
For better or worse, S really is a sequel, starting from just before the events in the true route of the original. It adds a massive number of characters (seriously, the number added is ridiculous), extended after-stories for the original game, a what-if scenario for Yuki, and five new heroine paths... unfortunately, those heroine paths are hit and miss.
I'm going to say it outright... Tsubame's
Saturday, update time.
I really hastened my pace this week, and it most likely will continue as such.
2 more H-scenes done, and still as cringe as ever, but I don't hate them. They're still as high-quality as ever, and you'll love them!
Also, idioms can just go to the deepest pit and just burn.
